When Lockwood and Co get de-aged, Barnes gives them to Kipps and his crew to care for and Kipps pretty quickly realises you can get little Lockwood to do pretty much anything if you offer him something you are pretending to be valuable. Like he needs Lockwood to brush his teeth so he starts talking about how cool this pen he found in his pocket is and then tells Lockwood to go and brush his teeth and Lockwood is like 'I will brush my teeth if you give me the super cool pen' and Kipps agrees. Only Kipps realises he never sees the stuff he gives Lockwood again so he starts following Lockwood around because he is running out of pocket junk to give the little boy only to find out that every super cool thing Lockwood earns is given straight to little Lucy.

percabeth angst post-Tartarus will always have my heart. the fics where when they apart, they go borderline batshit crazy? phenominal. because yeah you fall into hell with someone and they become your reminder of all that is good, so there absence feels like hell. the fics where one of them has a nightmare and the other is the only one to bring them out of it? top tier. because yeah the sound of the other's voice is enough to remind them that on their darkest nights there is light in the world, so of course they respond like one soul calling out to its other half. these two will be the end of me. just know that.

When Luke saw Annabeth raise her sword at him and he didn’t even think about trying to fight her, I immediately thought of what he said in the second episode, about finding her when she was seven and seeing her fight.
I know he didn’t fight her because of how close they were and how much he cares for her, but a part of me wonders if he didn’t even consider it because he wasn’t sure he would win.

“I warned you…if you’re not careful…you’ll find out…who I am.”
Demigod. Nephew. Son of Poseidon, Earthshaker, Stormbringer. Sally Jackson’s son. Seaweed Brain. Lightning Thief. Forbidden Child. Special. Powerful. Just a kid.
The truth is, no one but us know just who Percy Jackson is and will become. We got just a glimpse of his legacy this season and I can’t wait to see the character we know and love grow into the hero we admire and need.

I completely get what you mean. I just think that with the limited time they had, any more signs that Luke was the thief would’ve tipped off the audience too much. They were trying to keep it as secret as possible which, I agree, did entail taking away more of the obvious aspects of him being the traitor.
The betrayal scene was everything we could’ve asked for and I’ll tell you why.
Luke taking Percy to where he taught him how to fight. Percy being the one to figure out Luke’s the traitor and Like trying to defend himself. Luke realizing what we’ve all come to realize: that Percy is just like him. Percy, who has been screwed over by the gods over and over in the span of a few weeks. Percy, who has almost been killed and lied to and taken advantage of by gods he hasn’t even met. Luke Percy, who has been limited to what the gods want and what they think and what they believe.
The fireworks illuminating the two boys, one in blue and the other in red. One destined to save the world, one destined to destroy it. Two minds thinking alike but two souls acting in contrast.
Luke isn’t the bad guy in this story. He was a choice. He was the path that Percy just as easily could’ve chosen if Luke hadn’t chosen it first. If didn’t see the good in people the way he does or if loyalty wasn’t his fatal flaw.
I’ve read the books so many times and I’d be lying if I said I was 100% convinced Percy wasn’t going to join him. If I said I 100% didn’t agree with Luke or believe he was in the wrong. If I said I didn’t wish that something could’ve changed this time and one boy saved the other before the end could begin.

Annabeth giving Percy her necklace because she knows how much Athena giving her the invisibility cap meant to her. For a girl who has only experienced and viewed love as transactional, she is giving Percy a sign that she not only cares for him, but is with him as he goes to Olympus.

Luke tearing up while talking to Percy because he sees what he must look like through Percy’s eyes.
Luke panicking when he sees Annabeth because he sees who he used to be. He sees himself through her eyes, which is so much more devastating.

Poseidon finally physically stepping in to save Percy when there was no other option. Every other time, he trusted Percy to get himself out. Whether it was figuring something out on the quest or fighting Ares, Poseidon only gave as much help as he believed Percy needed to succeed on his own.
Until Percy couldn’t do anymore. He couldn’t stop Zeus from killing him anymore than he could drive that taxi, so Poseidon finally appears and lays down his pride, arguably the most important thing for gods, in order to save Percy’s life.
Poseidon isn’t the perfect father, but as far as gods go, he’s arguably the best and I’m glad we got to see that so well portrayed in the show.

“Grandpa”
This boy is so done with his family. He has verbally and physically sparred with two gods, spoken to a titan, and was betrayed by one of his cousins all in one episode. This boy is over it.
