I have a few questions about the modern Monte cristo Au you are making. How is benedetto so well-behaved ? Did he go to a boarding school or like a booth camp or something else?.

2. Who chose his name was it Bertuccio, someone at the orphanage/foster home? Or did Danglars call him that??¿.

The picture of him as a kid with a guitar is 😎.

1.he's not well-behaved and he doesn't have to be, the kiddo has issues and needs time and understanding.

2. I suppose it was in the orphanage. I'm not sure but i had a thought about Hermine and Gerard wanting to call him Andrea, and later Hermine tried to impose the name on the child what made him hurt and angry

What is it with vengeful men and giving speeches. : I mean, the protagonist of gladiator, Bertuccio, Don Diego/el Zorro in some versions of el zorro and Iniego Montoya from the Princess bride are all obsessed with stalking and killing the people that are connected to or are responsible for their misery. :instead of just walking in and just doing the deed they give an extremely long speech about who they are before they go for the kill. "I am x son/brother /cousin/lover whatever of a dead person you did something to me or them" prepare to get murdered." I'm like woa overacting much?

How do you think benedetto knew he was adopted? Because he calls Bertuccio sir or Mr Bertuccio instead of uncle or dad. Can't wait to see how or if you include Giovanni Bertuccio in yourmodern au(Giovanni is Bertuccio's frist name according to some sources I found online) (I think he's ether a cpd style caseworker that shows up to check if danglars is a good parent to "his" kid or not, or a sort of foster parent or guardian benedetto knows)

I know monte cristo is a fictional book but sometimes I question fiction. Like for example: benedetto was stuffed in a box as a baby, how did he survive in there without eneybody hearing him breathe?

Questioning Dumas' books is a mood, they have lots of inconsistencies although they are still fascinating.

He probably didn't breathe tho, but I'm not a medical expert

What is the difference between a Stuart and a butler or are they the same thing? What term do you think fits bertuccio best?.

Do you find it interesting that Dumas may have had a thing for writing disturbing young men? (Both John Mordaunt and Benedetto were raised by sane people, but showed crazy and dangerous behavior at an early age. (Mordaunt attacked his uncle and Benedetto started a fire inside a house) I'm like is the writer of these novels okay 👌? (Dumas you are scaring your audience 😂)

as for sanity, i don't think that Bertuccio, someone who stalked and attempted to kill an innocent person, was the perfect role model

uhhh somewhat like 5 years older that Valentine. But the plot encompasses a long period of time.

Does danglars know he's not benedetto's biological father in your au?

I have some questions. 1. In your modern monte cristo au , how does danglars feel about raising another guy's kid? (Benedetto is not his child) . 2. In the novel Bertuccio takes benedetto to his home as soon as he finds him, but in one of the musical versions he drops the baby off at an orphanage or foster house or something (the clip is in Russian with subtitles) and somehow is allowed to come back a few days later and adopt the boy as his own. ¿What is happening? How is that possible or legal thing?
