Join us for the VIDEO PREMIERE for: The Secrets of the Force on YouTube
Tumblr media
WHEN: Friday, October 6th, 2023 @ 4 PM PACIFIC WHERE: AfterTheSequels™ YouTube Channel LINK: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=It0iO6q-v5g IN THIS VIDEO: In Part 2 of our series, we take a mysterious deep dive into the Secrets of the Force. Written and Narrated by our Executive Producer, Maria Espino, who has inside track into these topics due to her work with the video game properties, we provide everything we know to be true about the Force as well as set up the structure of how the Force will be used in our own story.
SERIES SUMMARY: This series details the summary of where we are from inception to the very end of "Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker (Episode IX)". It serves as a jump point from where we've come to then what we, here with this program of AfterTheSequels™, intend our story to start with our "Star Wars: The Chosen One (Episode X)".
What you will find in these narrated tales is mostly facts about the world of Star Wars with the inclusion of some story elements that we intend to expand upon or write into our lore. Reason for that is that for some of these arcs, like for example The Cosmic Force, there has been very little established by the way of true canon. So, we intend to provide the sandbox for those elements in where our story develops those concepts further.
It covers the five main arcs of Star Wars: - The Resistance | https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L1Llgg6DyM8 - The Cosmic Force - The Jedi Order - The New Republic - The Sith Empire

A Dyad in the Force is created at birth and it is irrevocable. It’s quite different from a traditional Force Bond.
The Force has a will of it’s own. For the example, the will granted Kanan Jarrus one final look at the woman he loves, Hera Syndulla, before he died. The Force also granted Anakin Skywalker the gift of becoming one with the Force without having to complete extensive training.
When the Force sees the balance drop out of alignment either towards the Dark or towards the Light, it attempts to correct itself because it does have a will of it’s own.
When Ben Solo started to fall to the Dark, at around age 10, the Force foresaw the depth of his fall and attempted to balance itself by creating Rey. That’s how we believe a true Dyad in the Force is created.
During The Old Republic (TOR), Revan was destined to fall to the Dark to become Darth Revan. The Force foresaw his fall and answered it by creating Bastilla Shan. We believe Revan and Bastilla were one of those Dyads in the Force that “had not been seen in generations”.
This is an explanation AND our version of the canon. Look for our upcoming video that explains “The Secrets of the Force” coming soon!

A Force-bond, also known as a Force connection or simply a bond, was a powerful connection that existed between two Force-sensitive individuals. On occasion, the Force allowed a living being to connect and communicate with another across great distances. The bond could even teleport matter. Despite its advantages, a bond could be manipulated by those using the dark side of the Force. A strong Force user had the power to initiate secret bonds with others in order to manipulate them. Even if the unwanted bond was detected, it could still be extremely difficult to break.

That’s actually a reference to ROTJ Luke Skywalker when he said, “I won’t fight you, father.” Not the Rebels encounter with her.

His performance was flawless. The way he weaved in the performances of Matt Lanter’s animation Anakin Skywalker with his own younger Anakin was masterful.

We can speak to this.
Many of the staff artists in studios often put little tid bits into the concept art they create. Like if you looked at other concept art created by other artists in any franchise, you’re bound to find these little Easter eggs.
Our guess is this artist was probably a Reylo! ❤️

THE FIVE ARCS IN OUR STORY Part 1, The Resistance
Check out our FIRST video in our new #StarWars series: The Five Arcs in Our Story.
In Part 1 of our series, we dive into the birth of the #Resistance, a rebellion-esque paramilitary group founded by our beloved #PrincessLeia Organa Solo, after her disastrous removal from office in the New Republic Senate. In the novel "Star Wars: Bloodline" by author Claudia Gray, corruption and greed has once again given rise to tyrannical rule from Leia's point of view. Those that had so valiantly fought to bring about peace in the galaxy were now instrumental in its possible demise. The revelation of a secret that Leia had buried deep down inside could potentially be primary event that turns the tide into subjugation and gives rise to Snoke and the First Order. Like #Ahsoka, Leia had foreseen the coming of a big threat to the peace of the galaxy and she was keen to enlist the help of others to stop it!
We look at how these events will share our fan film, "Star Wars: The Chosen One (Episode X)" by first summarizing… the story so far.

JOIN US THIS SATURDAY @ 3 PM PACIFIC FOR OUR BEHIND THE SCENES LIVE PODCAST!
youtube
Join us this Saturday 8/19 @ 3 PM Pacific for Episode #4 of our "Behind the Scenes" podcast for the making of our fan film, Star Wars: The Chosen One (Episode X). This month we highlight the Rebels because well... once a rebel, always a rebel. #ahsoka
EPISODE OVERVIEW: In this episode, Executive Producer, Director, and Writer Maria Espino talks with the Rebels of Star Wars. We are joined by our actors Leah Barnett (Leia Organa Solo), Gerald Hill (Lando Calrissian/Vicii Hessian), Susan Robb (Maz Kanata), Jason Dania (Finn), Taylor Johnson (Zorii Bliss), and Robert Gantuangco (Beaumont Kin, Extras).
We talk about how much of the story we all know and love has its roots and origins in the #Rebellion. We discuss the parallels of the rebels we see in Star Wars to those we admire in our own history and how they have influenced the performances you will see in our upcoming film. There are so many sacrifices that are made in the history of the Rebels of Star Wars that down right bring someone to tears, and most of it until #RogueOne and #ANDOR has never really been seen. We discuss the impact of those sacrifices and what happens when you remove a big governing power from tyrannical rule.
And given that Star Wars: #Ahsoka premieres in less than one week, we could not NOT talk about the brilliance of Star Wars: Rebels, the animated show that serves as the launch point for the series. We focus a bit on the plight of the orphan Ezra Bridger. An orphan that turns out to be Force-sensitive is such a common trope in Star Wars --- we see it in not just Ezra but Anakin, then Luke and Leia, and in the sequels in Rey. That show gave us a deep story entrenched in the concept of a found family and how love sometimes shows up where you least expect it to.

EVERYONE WANTS TO BE BEN SOLO, ALMOST!
In the outro of the podcast from 7/22, Maria asks one last question to the cast --- "If you could trade your role for anyone else's role that is on the panel today, who would it be and why?" And as you could have guessed, "Ben Solo" was the most common answer, save for one!
Tony chose #ZoriiBliss, even though she wasn't available for today's podcast, and gave us even more insight into how he feels about the character that his own character is so wildly in love with. And we were here for it!
Join us for our NEXT Podcast on Saturday 8/19 at 3 PM Pacific when we talk to the REBELS in our film! Join OUR Leia Organa Solo, Lando Calrissian, Maz Kanata, Finn, Zorii Bliss, and Beaumont Kin to talk about what's in store for the Resistance in "Star Wars: The Chosen One (Episode X)". Be sure to head on over to our YouTube Channel and subscribe! Turn on the notifications so that you don't miss it. :)

For our executive producer, writer, and director this is the type of review she loves to see about her work in the video game industry!
So I finally and belatedly finished Jedi: Survivor (so spoilers ahead) and I loved ittt
The Fallen Order Games really have such a good storyline that goes hand in hand with GL's comprehension of attachment and also the force in general!
I mean just the whole Bode situation, absolutely hate what he did and caught me genuinely off guard, but it shows so well what toxic attachment can lead to. And Merrin's line "He’s using fatherhood to justify betrayal and murder" is just so good, i love it. The fact that by the end of the story he’s hurting his own daughter and doesn’t even listen to her because he seems to think he knows best and that he’s doing it out of love and therefore it’s alright, really shows perfectly the dangers of attachment, selfish love and how twisted the dark side is.
The fact that he planned to have an entire planet for him and his daughter, knowing perfectly well that she wasn’t happy there and also lonely, and was ready to sacrifice the hidden path as if those people aren’t in the same position as him and his daughter.. And the destruction of the archive and the murder of Cordova was so heartbreaking, Cordova deserved so much better :/ and Cere and the Anchorites too dude
Also even prior to this, the destruction of the temples on Jedha was honestly gut-wrenching to see.. Just, seeing important cultural landmarks and sights and buildings being destroyed alongside the people and the parallels you can draw to real life.. sheer pain
And the people who think Cal might become a "gray Jedi", (which first and foremost doesn’t exist so please stop trying to make that happen, it’s not how the force works, end of story. sorry) are not really getting the point. Anytime Cal uses the Dark Side, he himself and Merrin claim that it feels like he’s losing himself. Which is what the dark side does to you. You can’t use it constantly and not fall into its trap and stay true to yourself and keep being good. Cal using the Dark Side is not shown as 'uuh he feels so much better and happier', it’s making things worse for him and he knows it and so does Merrin. There’s no middle ground or grey area, it’s either light or dark. Inner peace or suffering.
Also Dagan Gera attaching himself so profusely to Tanalorr and losing himself because of his obsession is also such a great portrayal of the Dark Side and how different types of attachment can lead to falling prey to the darkness.
Loved getting to see all these planets like Coruscant, Koboh and Tanalorr tho, I’m such a sucker for worldbuilding. And that first scene where we get to see the former Jedi Temple, oh god, such a punch to the gut.
And while Kata's mother is only a background character and long gone, loved her and loved the fact that she's a character who wears a head scarf, too. While it wasn’t anything big, it was still nice to see for me
Also BD-1 is such a good boiiiii, the absolute best and cutest 😭
There will be a third one probably right? Can’t wait for that tbh

We love this edit!
In our films these two are old, in their 70’s, still together. Married with children (both biological and adopted, yes Kata too) and grandchildren — almost all are Jedi. Cal is a Grandmaster Jedi and he’s lived quite the life alongside his “space witch”. And they have a lot to teach Ben & Rey.
Because we really need a couple that makes it in Star Wars without having to be torn apart first!

WHAT DO WE ALL WANT? A LORE DISCUSSION YOU SAY?
Well, say no more!
In this segment we discuss the lore behind the Jedi and also the Sith when it comes to how they view "love". While having polar opposite views, the one commonality is that they shunned it in their practitioners from falling prey to those feelings.
The Jedi's views on love is pretty well known. It was a main thread line in the movies of the prequels, as well as the animated series "The Clone Wars", which focused on the forbidden love of Anakin Skywalker and Padme Amidala. The Jedi have a belief that attachments lead to the dark side. But we expand on that a lot more here. We think that what the Jedi feared the most about love is the fear of loss, not really the love itself. The "I can't live without her" line that Anakin says in the last episode of the prequels, "Revenge of the Sith" rings true to what we discuss in this segment. The Jedi feel that love is a SELFISH thing --- something you want for your self. And that sentiment contradicts the basic tenet of the Jedi: Be Selfless.
What is less known is the views of the Sith on love. Here is where we show how polar opposites these views are from those of the Jedi. While the Sith never outright forbade their practitioners to indulge in relationships, their pursuit of such was mostly about sex and the power that comes with it. In their eyes, to "love" someone would mean becoming SELFLESS. Your thoughts, your time, your consideration of another means less focus on your self; your wants, your desires. This robs you of the main central pursuit of all Sith... absolute power and the Sith consider it a path to the light, as they say, "Fall to the light." Most Sith only involve themselves in relationships when it suits their own purposes and designs in attaining more power, and once it seizes to be productive in that sense, they cut it out like a cancer.
You could NOT have more polarizing views on the topic. But where they merge is in the fact that both the Jedi and the Sith discouraged their members, if not outright forbade them, in "falling in love".
Let's hear from you. What do you think of this discussion on the lore of Star Wars? What else would you add to it? Comment down below.

A JEDI AND A NIGHTSISTER, TOGETHER AGAIN!
FINALLY! They make it official!
We really can't talk about Love & Star Wars without talking about Cal Kestis and Merrin, the Nightsister, now can we? Its as synonymous as Ben & Rey, as Anakin & Padme, as Han & Leia! And by the time we see the third installment of this video game in a few years from now, they too will join the ranks of one of the most legendary love stories ever told.
Some of you may already know that our Executive Producer, Writer, and Director Maria Espino is the CEO/President of The Last Prophecy Gaming, Inc. --- so video games and the stories told with them is very near and dear to Maria's heart. This one most especially.
Here we discuss what makes this pair so connected and also the challenges that they will face together. We also dive a little bit into the idea of bringing them into this trilogy at such an older age --- they would be in their 70s during Ben & Rey's timeline --- and what they may have to teach others. ENJOY & keep the dream alive of #ReuniteTheDyad --- also drop a FOLLOW will ya? And maybe a SUB too? Especially artists! We got some great stuff coming for you guys. :)
