Star Wars Kid was a critical juncture of the early web, and we chose the timeline where the web is a tool for mockery and bullying, instead of shutting that behaviour down in 2003 and blacklisting any "comedian" who considered him fodder for jokes.
Regular people can perhaps be understood though not justified for not realising how big the audience was they were mocking someone in front of; talk show hosts have no such excuse.

One of the greatest moments we lost when Willow wasn't renewed would have been The Gang Confront Sorscha On Her Bullshit.
Like, all of the remaining party members (plus Airk) have something they need to settle with her. She lied to Jade and Elora about their origins. She locked up Boorman. The last time she saw Willow she was having the guards escort him out of Tir Asleen. And then there's her kids...

Rewatching Willow and
I hadn't noticed before how much Elora has the same vibes as Princess Anna. Aside from them both being redhead's whose fiancés tried to kill them I mean.

If "Vecna is really Henry Creel's alternate reality twin Edward" and "the Dr Brenner we see in S4 is Richard Brenner" isn't far out enough for you, how about this...
*hits blunt* Will Byers has an alternate reality twin. She goes by the name of El (legally, Jane Hopper).

Has anyone gone through the series and catalogued all the ways Will and El parallel each other... Especially when it comes to how Mike feels about them and treats them?
Like, S1 Mike has an outburst where he claims to be the only one who cares about Will; S3 Mike has an outburst where he claims to be the only one who cares about El.
S2 Mike gives a monologue to help Will fight the Mindflayer; S4 Mike gives a monologue to help El fight Vecna.
Really feels like there isn't really much difference in how he feels about these two, hence his desperate need to draw a distinction between Friend Things and Girlfriend Things. The entire "romance" has the feel of Mike going "she's my friend, she's a girl, therefore girlfriend" and behaving in Ways People In Romantic Relationships Behave.

How Mike is so clueless about romance that he puts Normal Things People Do With Friends, like send letters and hang out with each other one on one, in a special Things You Only Do With Your Girlfriend box.
Like, dude, no-one is going to suspect you have a crush on your best friend just because you wrote him letters, friends have been writing letters to each other for literally thousands of years. Maybe if you sign them "I love you"... but even then, that's something that's not exclusive to romantic relationships...

This just made me more mad than any ST reddit take ever

WILL AND JONATHAN DON’T OWE EL THEIR TIME!!!!
They are kids. They have their own lives. They have their own school work.
Joyce is the one responsible for El.
Also, I’m sure Will and Jonathan did help El a bit, but El had so many years of school to catch up, so it would not have been possible for her two underaged brothers to get her on top of the class.
Seriously what the hell? People just keep finding any reasons to hate Will and Jonathan.

What if... Will isn't Twelve, he was supposed to be Twenty? And he had a traumatic experience when he was five because of an attempted child abduction? And his powers are natural, like Henry Creel's... He is, if you will, a *natural* Twenty.

I don't believe Vecna is Henry Creel.
This is not the same as Henry Creel not becoming Vecna. I believe Vecna is a composite of Henry, the people he killed in the massacre, and the Mindflayer. He didn't assimilate it -- or rather, he did, but it also assimilated him, creating the being known as Vecna.
And his defeat will involve the part of him that is still Henry remembering who he was.
y’all ever think about how they said “season 5 will explore if there’s any humanity left in vecna”, how jamie said “there was a lot of humanity in henry before he turned into vecna” and how he believes “there’s still humanity” in him, how henry canonically despises humanity and how will byers is literally the embodiment of humanity and is paralleled to pre-vecna henry and his relationship with henry is the focus of the next season and how they said that “maybe there’s something that can bring out henry creel” and-

Will to El: We'll fix it together.
Mike to El: I will fix this.
this is a very important distinction imo, one gives El her independence while still helping her, the other wants to be in control of the dynamic

Eleven isn't a name, it's a numerical designation from Dr Brenner to distinguish between his experimental subjects.
El, however, El is a name. A name derived from her numerical designation but one that stands on its own as a name. A reclamation of her identity as a person from the man who took it, more powerful for being derived from the number she was assigned to dehumanise her. And one only ever used by people who care about her.
also do people prefer to use hopper or Ives as her last name???

It's annoying that we don't get to learn much about what El's interests. What, aside from Eggos, does she like? What does she enjoy doing? Does she have any hobbies?
Anyway I headcanon that Jane Ives -- El if she hadn't been stolen at birth and was allowed to grow up with her mother -- is obsessed with animals, especially squirrels.

Of course El struggles academically. Before High School, her total education consisted of one (1) [I] year of Middle School. I doubt Brenner made sure she was taught much. Or that Hopper managed effective homeschooling.
Girl needs some one on one tutoring to bring her up to speed on fundamental stuff.

It is sad some people have never had the joy of eating frozen food.
Forever pushing the agenda of Will hearing Mike talk about El being this larger than life girlie in the van scene, when Will (who now lives with El and has probably seen her feral weird girl energy to the fullest cuz siblings) is very much confused since he knows his sister is awkward just like the rest of the Party.
Mike: El's a super hero
Will: She's a super weirdo just like us. I saw her eat eggos out the box, cold from the fridge, no syrup. I was appalled and disgusted
