Stop #3: Tortola, BVI. Today’s our easy day. Walked around the town a bit and spending the rest of the day on the shop (it was only a 7am-12:30 pm off ship exploring window). First paddle of my 2022 winter in Florida today! We did Crystal River to Three Sisters Springs. This was my first paddle last year too! Three Sisters Springs actually closes to all paddlers from November 15 through April, when the manatees flock by the hundreds to these springs during the colder winter months. The springs stay a warm 75 degrees year round. We spotted a few manatees today, but I wasn’t able to get them on Camera. We left the Cape last Thursday and spent 5 nights at our friend’s place in Avon, Connecticut. It was soooo beautiful! We got to see the fall foliage on a few bright and sunny days, hike to some falls, and tour some cute New England towns. Today we left Avon to start our journey south to Florida. We traveled a bit more west than on our previous journey up to Cape Cod, just to avoid NYC and Philadelphia. BEST. DECISION. EVER.
