MAY WE MEET AGAIN
after some careful contemplation, as the creator, i’ve decided to put this roleplay on a hiatus. it died out quickly and it wasn’t what i hoped for it to be. i have every intention on revamping this roleplay in the future, but for now this roleplay will be on a hiatus.
i’d like to thank everyone who was a part of this, even though it only lasted a short while.

Hi! So I was checking out this rp and stalking some of your members (sorry!!!) and although I was super interested in it I was really put off by the one line rps that I was seeing and they've made me reconsider joining. Are these fairly common in this rp or is it just a rare thing that is happening at the moment? Thanks!
&&. — while we encourage our members to write longer replies, we do understand that at times, some of our muns may not have the ability to write out many paragraphs at one time, as they may be roleplaying in order to practice their literacy skills or as a hobby. it may also not come to a surprise, but a lot of us are either in school or working jobs which really limits our time and for those of us who cannot write quickly (i.e.: suffering from writers block) or are using tumblr via their phones, it can be quite tedious. as for how common they will be, i really cannot give you an answer.
we do have members who are all open to plotting - i’m sure that they would work out something to your liking if you asked. although i do not wish to conform members to a certain writing style (as we try and welcome diversity), i do thank you for your ask and will take these thoughts into consideration.

Hun grew up in a small town that proved to be uneventful. Day in, day out, everything was all the same.
To spice things up, he took up the hobby of becoming a serial killer. His victims were generally young adults whom he found interesting.
PRESENT DAY
The waves, in his opinion, were the coolest things to ever happen. He loved how unpredictable they were.
He made his way to Camp Haven after hearing that he would get to not only have a safe place to live, but also because he would be able to do what he does best: kill.
CONNECTIONS
Nathan Kane - An unlikely friend of Hun’s. They met once when Hun tried to kill him. Hun was frustrated that the murder didn’t go according to plan. He tried two more times and then gave up on the other male, deciding to befriend him in his own twisted way. The two are now friends and laugh over how they met.
Ah-Jung Soon - As an independent person, having to follow orders for Hun is difficult especially when his squad leader, Ah-Jung likes to go by the book. He enjoys teasing her and wandering away from her and the squad during missions. At the same time, he finds her intriguing because they disagree on many things.

BEFORE THE OTHERS
Nathan was never really the kind of person to speak about what he felt unless utterly necessary. He often went and lived every day as they came to him. It was partially obvious to him that he was different than the kids he went to school with, but he always was unable to pinpoint where the likeness stopped and the divergence began. Nonetheless, Nathan managed to make a friend with Naomi, a girl who came every summer in the same neighborhood he did, then moved completely when he was 15 years old. She happened to look beyond what made the boy different from anyone, something in her that the boy deeply appreciated. She simply accepted the quirks and comportment, after which she brought it upon herself to protect her friend. Their friendship lasted until the day Nathan left his city.
He grew up with his sister Shannon and their parents, though their mother was the one who truly took care of them, their father often off to a place the boy knew nothing of. The siblings never had a lot in common, but they still spent a lot of time together, shrugging off their differences. Sometimes life was easy, but more often than not, Nathan needed to fend for himself in a way he was aware most kids didn’t. As the years went by, he took things less and less for granted, knowing he needed to work for what he wanted.
Curiosity often took the best of Nathan, making him know about things he would’ve rather not have known. Among those was how he discovered his father left their town house to cheat on his mom, no matter how the woman was actually caring and loving. One night, as the first wave was slowly taking every energy out of the surface of the Earth, bringing any city to dive into a sea of darkness, Nathan waited for his dad to come home, a kitchen knife tightly held in his hand. The kill had been done out of cold blood, precise, without much of a fight. The young man hastily got rid of the body while trying not to leave any trace. Once he had distanced both him and his now dead father, he dropped the body down, then taking matches out of his coat. Igniting the fire, Nathan let the flames engulf his dad as tears started running down his cheeks while he stared at the lifeless form of the man whom had brought him to life. Nathan decided to leave without taking anything with him, not wanting to be found by anyone, not yet.
PRESENT DAY
Nathan lives among humans, surviving throughout the days, doing what he can to simply keep going. He tries to steer away from any Others and most survivors, because there’s no knowing what he might do. Only once did he kill someone else than his father, as it was in self-defense after Nathan was attacked while rampaging a corner store. That kill had been messily done, adrenaline making every movement sluggish, and filled with stress and lack of precision.
He travels with Naomi and her dad, as Nathan encountered them on the road after a while, and decided to tag along with them. A little bit of familiarity in the whole mess that the world had become eased the young man’s nerves, always in a turmoil after he’d caused the demise of his father, and had to watch everything he knew and grew up in go awry.
The young man has no idea what happened with his sister, and actually hopes she is still alive. He heard about his mother passing, and it only made him look for Shannon everywhere he goes, and keeps the faith that one day they will be together again. Nathan also wishes she knows nothing of him killing their paternal figure, a weight he keeps carrying around that he wishes won’t have to be amplified by being accused of it.
CONNECTIONS
Naomi Murphy: She is his best friend. Nathan travels with her and her dad; tries to have as much her back as she does for him. He feels like he owe her some of the hardly won safety he managed to have so far.
Sullivan Murphy: Sullivan is Naomi’s father, and a long time ago, Nathan started considering him as the father he never truly had. Countless were the nights when Nathan stayed over at Naomi’s house during the summer, that he knew he could not only count on his friend, but on her father as well. The man was part of his makeshift family that would soon become more than that.
Shannon Kane: Nathan’s sister, though they don’t have a lot in common. Sometimes Nathan envied how things came easily to his sister, while he struggled to make everything work, but still, she is one of the most important people in his life.
Hun Baek: A few times, Nathan and Hun crossed paths, their encounters almost always resulting in the other attempting to kill Nathan, the reason still unknown. Due to how Nathan was hell-bent on surviving, Hun never managed to bring his plan to execution. Now, they are closer, something Nathan finds oddly comforting in the mess that is the world now. It isn’t rare the both of them laugh at how strange their relationship started.

Tessa lived with her mother, father, and older sister. Her parents had a very strained relationship and were always fighting. Their fights made the household a toxic environment and Tessa hated being there. She often looked to her older sister for comfort, but after her sister went off to college she became more alone. It was rare that her sister would come home to visit, so their relationship soon grew apart.
She was attending her local high school. Tessa made average grades. She was an exceptionally good soccer player. She was the captain of the team and that’s where her leadership skills truly shined through.
She was training in Krav Maga most days after school. Tessa was attacked by an unknown man and sexually assaulted. The event traumatized her, but Krav Maga brought her back to her normal self. She was assulted at the beginning of her junior year, and the event is only known to her and a close friend.
PRESENT DAY
Both of Tessa’s parents were killed early on. She quickly became a survivor and traveled around looking for people she could trust. She ended up alone though, and braved through cold nights, doing what she had to in order to survive.
Soon after the third wave, Tessa was recruited and became a soldier. Her competitive attitude and previous skills made her a perfect fit. She rose through the ranks and became a unit leader. She takes it seriously, and believes that she is doing good and doing her part to save humanity.
Tessa wonders if her sister is still out there and sometimes thinks about going after her. However, her duty to the human race keeps her focus on being a perfect soldier.
CONNECTIONS
Amber Rider: Tessa’s older sister. She was away at school when the first wave hit. Tessa hasn’t seen her since.
Mark Molotov: Tessa’s Krav Maga instructor. He taught her everything she knows about the martial art. He was her inspiration and pulled her out of her depression after she was attacked.
