A Young Royals perfect ending

I've been reading a lot of endings and theories for this season but since I didn't see anyone say something like this here's mine.

We all know that the perfect ending for August (from our perspective) us that he goes to prison, and I completely agree with that. But if you watched the show and related to Willhelm or just really like him, you know that the best ending for him would probably be to abdicate.

And most of people are having the debate of is it worth it to give August the crown and let him go without consequences for a happy Wilmon ending And fuck, I don't think it's worth it. I want a happy Wilmon endgame, and for that Willhem would most likely have to abdicate, both for Simon and for himself. But what August did and is doing is insane.

So my "question" is why we can't have both. At the end August goes to prison and Willhem abdicates leaving the monarchy with nobody to take over the crown. So let's just shut down the monarchy. Who tf even cares about it, not Simon the first thing he said to Willhem was about how he hates the monarchy.

So let's let Simon shut down the monarchy
