Last Night on Yokai SMP

They're all dead 😱😱😱😱

The Showdown 💀 (Part 3 - Streams recap / Mixed PoVs)

So Toli arrives on the scene, thanks to Rain telling him the coordinates. A hasty ruse of a surprise party for Toli is quickly torn apart given that a) most of them don't know Toli and b) Those who do dislike him. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Toli gets to explore the core a little before the plot thickens for good this time.

Alois, the Ace of Spades and one of the leaders of the House of Azaleas shows up. He thanks them for leading him right to the core, then teleports our dear Entities to the ballroom in Yokai manor. He wishes them good luck, and disappears.

Shortly after, things start happening.

One after the other, the Entities get cursed. One by one, they fall into a murderous frenzy, with only few of them managing to resist the urge. Rykari says she's not feeling so well, Vrax falls to their own hubris (v)reckless killing spree (hehe), Ceeb experiences the curse directly conflicting with his code and is rendered almost incapacitated, and Rain... Rain. Rain feels fantastic. While everyone is panicking, she very systematically searches the manor for tools, and then picks them off one by one. She puts Ceeb out of his code conflict. She murders River as she tries to defend him. She relentlessly chases down Toli until it ends up bleeding out in a corner. It talks about knowing more, and being respected as a superior... But that doesn't save him as he bleeds out on the floor.

Rain is cornered by Alois, who congratulates her--- Well, who says he didn't think she had it in her. If that counts for anything. He asks her to hand over her mind and.... She does. Which means the Azaleas now have 2/3 of the needed ingredients. But Rain too gets what's coming to her. Apparently summoned back from the dead, Toli has a talk with Alois in the manor... After which he finds Rain, tells her how jealous it is of her, and kills her where she stands.

This leaves most of our Entities disconnected, dead, in Lostlight. Their familiars nowhere to be seen. Plots to revive other characters foiled, for now. Where will they go from here? Find out soon on Yokai SMP~

The Meat of the Matter 🥩 (Part 2 - Streams recap / Mixed PoVs)

(This is a long one, strap in)

It is a day like any other in the Yokai SMP. River Greets her Observers and makes her way to Emberlan... Though she is plagued by goat noises the whole way there 🤨She is the only goat here though... Could she bleat without noticing? I never know how it is with these shapeshifters... Let's not worry about that now. Probably just a glitch.

In Emberlan she runs into Vrax and Toli, in the middle of a talk about crime~ Toli has opened the stream telling us about a secret mission he has: He has to stop a clipboard from reaching someone it shouldn't. No details, only clipboard and its secrecy. He too goes to Emberlan to investigate, and he too is plagued by goat noises! Vrax finds Toli right at the spawn of Emberlan, and so doesn't get very far before recruiting others to his cause.

The three of them spend some time in confusion, where Toli tries to relay his mission with varied success, Vrax tries to catch up on what the Overworld has been up to in general, and the goat (River) (real) is vaguely threatening at both of them.

But then another goat joins them! River runs around with it, asking who it is! What! River is the only goat in the SMP, and everyone knows that! But then the goat identity turns into a curse. Toli and Vrax turn into the 3rd and 4th goat and panic about it for a hot second. Ceeb and Alex turn up just in time to see this, but manage to escape the curse. Toli uses the opportunity to rope more people into his mission-- Well, once they escape the goat identity.

River and Ceeb plot to get the new goat (still a goat) (identity unknown) away from Toli and interview the two of them seperately. River lures Toli away and distracts him for a solid while, Ceeb, Vrax, Rain and Alex stay behind with the mystery-goat. The goat identifies itself as a friend, "well, coworker" of the other missing familiar and leads the Entities to its core. And all the while they don't suspect they have a traitor in their midst...

Rain is with the group only to get away from Toli, her beloathed coworker... At the House of Azaleas. So while Toli is being dutifully distracted, Rain has front-row seats to the full Familiar reveal. And in a quiet moment, while most Entities are trying to make sense of the familiar's core, Rain sells out the coordinates to Toli.

At the core, the Entites discover the whole plan of the House of Azaleas: To ursurp the Keeper and take control of the world entirely.

Last Night on Yokai SMP

But from the beginning ✨ (Part 1)

Hi! It's been a while~ The Studio has been closed over winter for construction, maintenance, inventory, p̤̳̻̼̓̊ͭe̓͌rs̔̾̓̇ỏ̂n̊͌ͦe͊̅lͪl̃̇̍͋̍̽̔ ͓͉̗̗̣͋ͅm̾̇ͫaͫ͗ͯnͮ̑̽ͧa̖̩͔̋ͭ̽g̼̞̬e̲̲ͨͤ͆ͅm͊̎̍eͩͫnͦ̎̍̆t... But the SMP has not been quiet!

The Entities have discovered there is no more Death, so long as the familiar of their region remains connected and active. Slowly but surely, some unknown power started to pick off familiars, putting more and more regions of the Overworld at risk of causing final death. This mysterious power was identified as the House of Azaleas, a conglomerate of villains which is lead by four Aces - of Clubs, of Hearts etc. They started testing our Entites, putting them through harrowing trials to determine the strongest heart, mind and soul. Prior to last night's event, the House had identified Rykari as the strongest Heart, taking that essence from her as she won the first trial.

Since then, two of the familiars have been disconnected - MIA, fates unknown. This makes the Woodlands and the Glaciers risky places to visit for anyone not already part of the Afterworld... As without a familiar to tether them to the place, their souls will drift off unchecked upon death. A few of our Entities started to research, investigating the House-sponsored Diamond Mall for clues, and indeed finding vital information on the Azaleas' next steps. This information is nice for the players, but vital for the familiar. The last one holding the fort, the Familiar of the Spires.

And so we face the event of yesterday, where the final familiar must be identified, protected and warned of the threat. The House is still on the hunt after all.

Today on YSMP

Ceeb, everyone's favourite sentient robot with a brand new soul, is apparently... still just waiting for Willow. Just waiting at the entrance of Gallus Nesting, hoping to be able to help Willow or Lock. It's kind of depressing, honestly. At least he's taken up fishing? But besides that, today he had a nightmare. Which, considering everything else going on right now, isn't exactly a good sign for Ceeb's health. Or anyone's.

Luckily, he had Cecil to talk to! Who kindly (?) offered to take him to the Nightwatch. They seemed a bit unnerved after Ceeb told them that he knows they're a phantom, and insisted that is isn't out of shame of being a phantom, but just because of bad personal experiences.

In the Nightwatch, Ceeb immediately reconized the landscape from his nightmare. Again, not a good sign. But we already knew that, didn't we?

I'm interested to see how all this plays out.
