Hey can you do one where reader (reader is Nyla rookie) is secretly engaged to Tim and Nyla starts to ask the reader questions about who she’s engaged to because the reader forgot to take her ring off before she got to work, and it’s plain clothes day and reader pulls Tim over on his day off because he was speeding ( he was doing something for his sister) and Nyla doesn’t know that is was Tim in the car until the next day when he comes back to work and Nyla and Angela starts to put two and two together

Authors note: Hello love, thanks for the request! It was really fun to write and I hope you'll like it!
Enjoy!
She just wouldn't stop.
Ever since she saw the glittery and shiny engagement ring on your finger - of course it had to be one, 'cause it was just so shiny - she wouldn't stop asking questions.
Asking questions was an understatement, though - for someone who barely talked about her private life herself, she was really good at squeezing every bit of information out of you.
You had forgotten to take if off before heading to work, not even noticing until it was too late.
It was plain clothes day, she wasn't even supposed to talk, yet Nyla freakin' Harper wouldn't shut up.
Jaw clenched you tried to ignore her, until she threatened to make you fail.
"Wait what?" you almost screeched, parking at a sidewalk to turn towards her in your seat. She was smirking to herself, a shit eating grin that told you 'I have your future in my hands'.
And damn it, she had.
"I'm engaged." you pressed out through clenched teeth, trying to act nonchalant about it with a shrug of your shoulders.
"Do I know him?" she pressed further, and you bit your cheek.
She in fact did know him, but you would never tell her. At least not now, not when you were still her rookie, having promised Grey and Tim not to talk about it, until your training was done.
Which it would be in two weeks.
But the look she was giving you, gave you the sense of feeling that she'd give you a hard time, until you'd finally crack and tell her.
Which you couldn't.
Damn it.
Her brows rose, urging you to answer her question.
"No...?" you answered vaguely, and her head tilted with a pointed look. She didn't believe you for a second.
To be honest, you wouldn't have either.
"Do I?" she questioned, leaning closer. She tried to analyze you, see if you were lying to her.
"I mean, maybe you've met him at a grocery store, who knows?" you tried to shrug it off, heart racing in your chest, threatening to burst out of it any moment, at the look she was giving you.
If she wouldn't have been your TO, she would have made a good friend - whom you might have told, but she wasn't.
Yet, you hoped. She was a great person, and you could only hope to stay on her good side for the rest of your days.
"Mhhmmm..." she made, the sound drawn out, as she leaned back in her seat. "Maybe."
You breathed a sigh of relief inwardly, as someone sped past you on the otherwise quiet street.
Huffing to yourself, you turned on the siren, following the car as you motioned for them to turn over, though thankful for the distraction.
Only then did you notice what car it was - or rather whose.
Cursing under your breath, you had no other choice than to get out of the car now.
Approaching the car you were grateful it was plain clothes day, which meant that Nyla was staying near the shop, not having any sight into the car.
"Hello, do you know why I pulled you over?" you greeted, silently pleading he wouldn't act strange now.
"Driving too fast?" he guessed and you huffed to yourself again, biting your lip to stifle a laugh.
Never would you have thought you'd pull your own fiancé over.
Nodding, you took a step closer, almost crossing the line of getting too close; trying to ignore Nyla's boring gaze for the moment.
"Where are you heading to?" you asked, brows furrowed. "Everything okay?" He nodded at your second question, sending you a reassuring smile.
"I'm fine, baby. Was heading to my sister's, she needs something done in her new house, but she has to work in an hour." he explained, biting his lip.
His sister had just recently moved to LA, after divorcing her now ex-husband.
"Tim, you know you should stick to the speed limit, even if you're late!" you quietly scolded him, brows drawn together. "What about being a good cop and all?"
He sighed, chuckling under his breath at your words and you couldn't help but split a smile as well, before clearing your throat, suddenly aware again, that Nyla was watching you.
"I'll let you go this time, sir, but please try and not drive too fast again." you spoke louder, knowing she'd hear.
He laughed quietly at that, blowing you a kiss.
"I love you." he told you, sending you a smile. "Thank you."
You nodded, smiling back. "Love you too. See you later."
Patting the rolled down window, you bid him goodbye, watching as he drove away.
When you returned, Nyla looked at you suspiciously. She knew the car, it seemed oddly familar, but she just couldn't place where from. Your behavior though, she was able to place.
"That your fiancé?" she shot straight to the point, as you two climbed back into the shop. Swallowing, you took a deep breath, stalling.
"Yep." you then announced, fingers nervously drumming on the steering wheel. She hummed, nodding. "Well then, good you didn't give him a ticket." she mused, brows wiggling. "Who knows, maybe he wouldn't want to marry you anymore if you did?"
Rolling your eyes, you started the shop, shaking your head with a smile.
She really was one of a kind.
_____
"Oh my freakin' sweet Jesus!" Nyla exclaimed quietly, eyes wide as she stared at the car that was parked a few feet away.
It was the same you had pulled over yesterday.
Angela, who was walking beside her, stopped as Nyla did, confusion etched into her features.
"What's up with you?" she wanted to know, stiffling a yawn, not feeling quiet ready for a demanding conversation at this unholy hour in the morning.
"When I was on shift with Y/L/N yesterday, she told me she's engaged. Pulled that car over and guess what: it was the fiancé she refuses to tell me the identity off!"
Angela's eyes widened, nearly dropping her coffee as she stared at Nyla, who's brows knitted together at her look.
"That's Bradford's car!" Angela exclaimed in a hushed whisper, suddenly wide awake. Nyla's eyes could have competed with dinner plates at the size they became at the information.
And realization.
Tim Bradford was your fiancé.
Your fiancé was Tim motherfucking Bradford.
Nyla's mouth opened and closed like a fish's, not quiet grasping the words she was searching for, as her eyes went back to the truck.
No fucking way.
"That little-!" she exclaimed, staring at Angela in shock.
She was as equally as shocked as her friend, though she soon started to grin. "Who would have imagined?" she quipped, taking a sip of her coffee.
Nyla's head shook, still trying to wrap her mind around the information.
Oh, you were definitely in for something.
And you were.
You should have known something was up, when Nyla brought you a coffee, even smiling at you like she did when she was pregnant and couldn't control her hormones, scaring everyone.
You really should have known.
Especially when she offered to drive.
"Had a nice evening yesterday?" she asked with a smile. "After pulling over your own fiancé?"
She chuckled heartily at that, and that's what should have made you jump out of the shop, take your legs in your hands and run for your dear life.
Yet you were dumb enough to step right into her trap.
"Yeah, he wasn't mad, said he was glad I didn't spare him just because he was my fiancé and pulled him over nonetheless."
She hummed to herself in agreement, nodding along to it.
"And what did he say was the reason he was breaking the speed limit?"
Your brows furrowed, but you didn't question her. "Wanted to help his sister fix something over at her new house. She just moved here."
Nyla nodded again, lips pursed.
"Bradford's nice to help his little sister that much."
You stiffened at her words, thoughts crashing to a halt. She caught you - but how?
She smirked to herself, a dangerous one that told you not to lie to her now, or else you would regret it for the rest of your life.
Biting your lip, you sank further into your seat with your cheeks ablaze, praying the ground would open up and swallow you whole.
"I mean I get it." she spoke, eyes fixed on the street. "But lying to your TO? Nuh-uh."
"I'm sorry." you apologized, gaze fixed on your entwined hands, that started to sweat profusely. "But I had to promise Tim and Grey not to tell anyone."
She huffed, chuckling under her breath.
"Well, I'm a detective - and a good one." she told you, sending you a pointed look. "Did you really think I wouldn't find out?"
That she only did with Angela's help, she didn't mention. She wanted to see you suffer, at least a little bit. That didn't mean she wasn't happy for you, though.
You were a lucky one with Tim Bradford as your soon to be husband.
"I expect an invitation for the wedding, of course."
Rolling your eyes, you huffed.
"Please, as if you wouldn't have been invited anyways." you retorted, sending her a pointed look.
She smiled at that, failing to hide it.
"Good."
_____
"Harper knows."
"Angela knows."
"Wait, what?" you both made, brows furrowed.
"Oh my, really should have expected it." you sighed, shaking your head. "Somehow, Nyla found out about it. I bet her and Angela did together."
Tim nodded at that, biting his lip. "Figured."
Sighing, you took off your jacket, before hanging it on the clothing rack. You didn't even get to greet him properly, having to get the news off your chest first.
He crossed the distance, wrapping his arms around you as his eyes met yours. "Should have expected that to happen." he said, lips pursed and you nodded.
"Yeah, they're detectives - and they're good at it." you repeated what Nyla had said earlier, causing Tim to chuckle. "Yeah, 'course she said that."
He leaned down and kissed you, tongue brushing yours, as your hands locked behind his neck.
"Not long and we can tell everyone." he promised, forehead leaning against yours. "And I'm glad when they finally know. Hate lying to them."
You nodded in agreement, pecking his lips again. "Me too."
He walked you backwards, lips brushing yours. "I love you." he murmured, blindly navigating you, and you sighed happily. It still felt like the first time, whenever he said it.
"I love you, too."

Hey can you make a part two of the Grey daughter part where the whole team finds out about them when she comes to drop off lunch for Grey and Tim and they starts to tease Tim about it

You hated your mom sometimes.
When she asked about Tim's favorite food, you should have known something was up.
Or, rather, she was up to something.
You told her, nonetheless, being sent off with two paper bags not long after, told to bring your dad and Tim lunch.
Tim's favorite.
She did it on purpose, trying to have you show your affection for him more openly, around his colleagues. They were already having their own suspicions and rumors about you two, you just hadn't noticed, yet.
So, when you walked into the mid wilshire department, carrying two hot bags in your hands, you first made your way to your dad. He was in his office, blinds up so you could see that he was hunched over some paperwork, glasses on his nose.
Not bothering to knock, you let yourself in, his gaze lifting as he heard the door. "Honey." he greeted you, removing the glasses. "What are you doing here?"
Holding up the bags you walked over, placing one in front of him. "Mom cooked." you explained, cocking a brow. "Wanted to know what's Tim's favorite food and sent me on the way to deliver some."
His head tilted, sending you a pointed look and you sighed. "I know, I know." you murmured, arms flailing at your sides to emphasize your words. "I couldn't stop her."
He shook his head, suspiciously sniffing at the bag. His hands wrapped around it, taking a hold of the plastic container inside. "Tell your mom thank you." he told you, sending you a grateful smile and you nodded.
"Will do."
Then you turned back around, walking back out to find Tim.
Grey took another sniff of the contents in the bag, humming to himself in surprise. Whatever Bradford's favorite food was, it definitely smelled good - not that he would have admitted it out loud, though.
You asked Smitty where Tim was and he directed you into the direction of the detectives, where you spotted him.
He was looking good in his uniform, ass hugged deliciously, as you made your way straight towards him.
"Oh my god." Angela gasped, causing Nyla's gaze to follow hers. "No way." she muttered, eyes as wide as Angela's. "Isn't this Grey's daughter? Why is she- Oh!" she cut herself off, as realization hit her.
"Bradford and her are a thing!"
Tim held himself from cursing under his breath, instead sending you a smile, even though it was forced. He hadn't missed the way Lopez and Harper perked up at your arrival.
You had basically made a beeline for him, not leaving any room for imagination.
"I'm bringing you lunch." you told him, returning the smile, holding up the paper bag in your hand. "And for my dad. Mom insisted that I'd bring you some, too."
He cocked a brow, huffing slightly. "Of course she did."
You chuckled, handing him the bag. "Made your favorite." you told him, sending him a wink. His eyes closed as he inhaled deeply, chuckling as they opened again. "Of course she did." he repeated himself, looking inside the bag.
He would have been lying if he said it didn't smell good.
It smelled fucking delicious.
"I'm guessing she wants the others to know." you spoke, biting your lip. "She wants to show you off as her daughter's boyfriend or something."
One of his brows lifted again, and you shrugged your shoulders. "Don't ask me." you gave back, shaking your head with a smile. "Anyways, I just wanted to bring you the food and see you."
He smiled a smile of his own, softened around the edges. "Thank you." he said, head tilting downwards the slightest bit. "And your mother."
You nodded, suppressing the urge to kiss him. You would have plenty of time to kiss him after his shift.
"I'm gonna go, then." you told him, and he nodded. "See you later." he gave back, hesitating, as he took a step closer, voice lowering to almost a whisper. "I love you."
Grinning, you shook your head. "I love you too." Then you turned around and left, but not without looking back at him.
Lucy plopped up at Tim's side almost immediately after you left, tearing him from his dreamy state. She looked at him knowingly, biting her lip to hide the smile that was threatening to take over.
"What's that look?" he wanted to know, brows furrowed as he tilted his head at her. "Oh, nothing." she quipped, smirking up at him. "That's so sweet of her to bring you lunch. I wonder why, though."
She had to be kidding, Tim thought.
Of course, she knew why you were bringing him lunch. She just wanted to hear it out of his mouth, admit that he was dating Grey's daughter.
It wasn't that he was ashamed of you - quite the opposite, really. He would have shouted it into the open world if he could, but he didn't want anyone to think that he was just using you, or you him.
Your dad was a cop, so of course you had to find someone with a badge as well, right?
Bullshit.
He would have willingly taken it up with anyone, if they just so much as dared to think like this about you.
Before he could respond, Angela and Nyla joined them, causing Tim to groan inwardly.
He was screwed.
"What was that?" Angela wanted to know, failing to hide her grin. She was happy for him, but she also wanted to tease him a bit.
Tim rolled his eyes, mocking her grin with one of his own in pure sarcasm. "What do you mean?" he retorted, clutching the bag to his chest subconsciously.
Nyla started to laugh, sending him a pointed look. "Please." she made, brows raised. "We all know what that was. Bradford is knocking Grey's daughter."
His face grew pale at her choice of words, instinctively falling into defense mode. "I'm not knocking her or anything." he told her, voice sharp as she bit down on a grin.
Of course she didn't mean it like that, but what other way to get him to talk other than this?
Angela must have picked up on her train of thought, whilst Lucy stood by and watched the scene unfold.
"Yeah, Tim, why don't you tell us what's going on between you and mini Grey?" Angela wanted to know, tilting her head with her arms crossed over her chest.
Tim winced at the mini Grey, shaking his head as he slowly came to terms with having to tell to them. They wouldn't stop bothering him, if he didn't.
"Y/N and I are in a relationship." he announced, looking between them only to find knowing smirks. "And you all knew already. Why make me spill it then?"
Lucy chuckled, her and Angela sharing a look. "Because you're grumpy and refuse to tell us about your private life." she explained, looking up at him.
He bit his cheek, swallowing the anger flaring up. "And this is exactly why I refuse to!" he retorted, shaking his head. "Because you all are fucking teases and wouldn't leave me in peace."
Angela scoffed, still smiling though.
"We're all happy for you, Bradford." she told him, her hand brushing over his arm. "We're just noisy assbutts, that want to snoop in your private life. Don't mind us, we'll just be sitting in the back, eating popcorn."
Tim sighed, shaking his head again. "Wouldn't have expected anything different." he returned with a huff. Nyla smirked, hand on her hips.
"And that's exactly why you love us."

What should you do if you feel that two of the characters are too similar and want to distinguish their personalities?
Characterization: Unforgettable Characters
I would say that's the whole point of characterization! Often we write about characters with similar ages, ethnicities, place of residence, etc.
It's all about: "How memorable is this particular character?"
Unusual Physical Features
Give your characters one distinguishable physical feature that can be referenced throughout.
Maybe one of them come from a family of redheads. It can be as simple as making one of them wear glasses.
The way we look, and the reactions we get from other people about our looks, form a large part of our own self-perception. This is especially true if your characters are teens, or have a job where they need to be particular about how they appear.
Quirky Body Language/Habits
Come up with some memorable, uncommon gestures that comes naturally to your characters. It can be something they do unconsciously.
What makes them make those gestures consistently?
A Distinct Character Voice
Dialogue is the window to the minds of your characters.
Give them a stock phrase that they use often, or a speech pattern
Give one of them a stutter, a lisp, a particular way of pronouncing some words, etc.
Nicknames (or teling names)
Nicknames are easy if your characters are part of the same group of friends or one of them has a reputation (whether god or bad)
You can also choose to give them telling names that hint at an immediately distinguishable characteristic, although this may feel shallow depending on the overall tone of your story.
What Do They Represent?
Characters often reflect types of people we have met in real life. Or, they personify certain values/perceptions we hold about the world in general.
If a character is the embodiment of "the silent genius", the way he carries himself would be totally different from "the forever insecure", although the two of them may simply appear quiet to someone who doesn't know them.
Think about what made you write those characters in the first place. Which archetype/person type did you want them to represent?
Combine The Characters
Sometimes, one of the two indistinguishable characters may not be serving a role that is big enough.
If there's not much story material to be divided between two characters, combine them into one, see what changes, and move on.

Hii, some Tim Bradford X sunshine!reader who is his rookie??
Little Miss Sunshine
Tumblr media
Tim Bradford x reader
Warnings: pure fluff, honestly so much fluff, reader is a little sunshine. Word count: 801 Authors note: Hello love, thanks for the request! I hope you'll like it, I for my part really do! Enjoy!
Tumblr media
It all had started when Grey played the matchmaking game, assigning each of the new rookies to a TO. You were paired with Tim Bradford, a man that was as equally handsome as distant at first.
He looked like someone you wouldn't want to mess with, sure kicking your ass out on the street first chance he'd get.
So, when you were sitting in the shop together, after he explained everything he deemed necessary, he was truly surprised by your calm, yet radiating nature.
You would do what he'd tell you with a smile on your face, responding so calmly yet confident, that he at first thought you were messing with him. You made it hard for him to be grumpy and moody, his Tim-tests falling short.
He'd soon call you little miss sunshine, the name fitting - in his opinion - like a glove to you. You were kind, friendly and open to him and others, not like many others of his rookies had been in the past.
You were constantly trying to make him smile, making jokes and funny comments, all the while still focusing on your work.
It was something he valued, being surprised at the way you were always a hundred percent on board, no matter if you'd only moments ago made a joke or just simply admired the sun shining down at you, in a city that had only about 40 days of rainy weather.
After about half a year he was sure he'd never have a rookie like you again - not because he didn't want to, but because you were so truly special, that he was sure he'd never find someone like you again, even if he'd try.
Your smile reached depths of his heart he would have never dared to mutter out loud, bathing in your glow in secret whenever you'd grace him with one of your smiles.
You were slowly melting him, like a snowman in the sun. He was the snowman and you were undoubtedly the sun, melting his icy ways until he was puddy in your hands.
You were slowly turning him inside out, something everyone but him seemed to notice at some point.
"Hey, Tim." you spoke up, silently giggling to yourself already. His head tipped your way, motioning for you to continue, whilst he continued driving. "Why was Cinderella so bad at soccer?"
He sighed to himself, the tug of his lips barely hidden as he fought against a smile. "Why?"
"Because she kept running from the ball!"
He inhaled deeply and stilled for a moment, shaking his head, as he let go of the air slowly in a way to stop himself from giving into you. Afterwards he snorted though, chuckling to himself.
"That was a bad one." he chided you playfully, and you rolled your eyes with a grin stretching your lips. "You laughed, so it wasn't that bad, Bradford."
Now he rolled his eyes, snorting again. "You're insufferable." he told you, though he knew he was far from the truth. If he could he would have listened to you telling bad jokes all day, just to listen to you at all.
"Shut up." you retorted, lightly shoving him. "You love me and you know it."
He had to refrain himself from inhaling shakily, opting to clear his throat instead. You were right, and it pained him.
It pained him in a way that made it very clear for him that you were his rookie, thus off limits to him. You still had a few months of training left, which meant he'd have to stay behind the fine line of decency until then.
He'd ask you out on a date, if you'd want that, afterwards.
Until then, he'd have to admire you from the distance.
And you had to, too.
It hadn't taken long to fall for the handsome an broody man. He accommodated his training to your needs, always keeping an eye out for you.
He laughed at you silly jokes, even if they weren't funny at all.
You couldn't wait for your training to be over, finally being able to make a move on your feelings for him, that had you floating towards the sun.
"Another one:" you proposed, sitting more upright. "What do you call an angry carrot?" You patiently waited for an answer of his, not missing the way he sent you a look of confusion through his peripheral, causing you to chuckle.
"A steamed veggie!"
You were laughing, and that was all it took for him to laugh along with you. He was knee deep in trouble, but he would gladly drown in it, if it meant he'd be able to spend time with you, see your smile and hear your laugh.
'Cause after all, you were his little miss sunshine.

The Mandalorian x reader
Summary: Greef Karga takes it upon himself to help two fools find their way together.
Warnings/Tags: hurt, fluff, comfort, mentions of character death, spoilers for season 3
Word count: tba
Authors note: Hello my loves! Just finished season three of The Mandalorian, and I can't help but write something for my beloved Din! Seriously, I love him so much.
Also, I somehow wrote this not in past tense, but present tense. Don't know how that happened, but I'm okay with it.
Enjoy!
Tumblr media
"What's up with you?" Greef Karga speaks up, head tilted as he tries to analyze your face. Spurred by his words you sit straighter in the chair opposite his, hoping to mask what's on your mind from the clever man.
But he knows you, he knows the tell tale signs when somethings up with you, when somethings bothering you.
His eyebrows rise, and you sigh in defeat.
Of course you can't hide your feelings from him. Over the time you've known him now, he somehow became a father figure for you.
"Do you think he'll settle down, now that he has a home here on Nevarro?" you ask, even though you already know the answer. The likelihood of him settling down, is even smaller than him returning your feelings for him.
You love him, even if you've never seen his face before.
Greef snorts in amusement, sending you a smirk that says the same thing. Never would Din Djarin settle down - at least not in the near future.
"Why are you asking?" Greef questions, brows furrowed. "Are you hoping he'll stay with you?"
Eyes widening, you stare at the magistrate, who dares to chuckle at your reaction. "What?" he quips, smirking. "Do you think I haven't noticed the way you're looking at him?"
You're mouth opens to protest, but you can't manage to utter a single word. He's right, and he knows it too.
"Do you love him?" he wants to know more serious, leaning forward on the table between you. You choke on your breath, chuckling to cover up the uneasy feeling that's suddenly cursing through you.
You still though, sighing, before your head falls into your hands, elbows propped on the table. Wiping over your face you look at Greef, who patiently waits for your answer.
"I do." you reply, feeling the goosebumps creep up your bare arms. He nods, suspicions confirmed. "You haven't seen his face, yet." he points out, cocking a brow.
"Don't need to." you respond, shaking your head. "He could be a Gungan for all you know." he remarks, though grinning as you send him a pointed look.
"He once told me about the mandalorian marriage, how he would be able to remove his helmet in front of his wife." you explain, looking down on the table as your cheeks flush.
"Hit you pretty hard, huh?" he asks with a smile, but before you can answer someone speaks up from behind you, causing you to flinch in your seat.
"What hit whom?" Din wants to know, and you refuse to turn around, stiffening, as your cheeks go even more red.
Greef clears his throat, chuckling. "Oh, nothing, mando." he replies. "Just talkin' 'bout old times."
You are thankful for the older man's explanation, sending him a grateful look. He nods almost unnoticeable, before you stand up.
"I'm gonna go look for something to do." you tell them, briefly looking at Din, before your gaze averts again. Grogu stands behind him, cooing up at you.
"Oh, could you take him with you?" Greef asks, pointing at Grogu. "I want to discuss something with Din, that's not for the child's ears."
Din nods in approval, as you look at him questioningly.
Smiling down at the child you scoop him into your arms, before you leave the room.
Din looks after you and the child, even after the door has already closed behind you again. Greef clears his throat, averting his attention back to him.
"You want to discuss something with me?" Din wants to know, taking a seat where you had been sitting only moments ago.
He'd be lying if he said he wants a job - it had only been a few days since you landed on Nevarro again and settled into the cabin Greef had prepared for you three.
After the fight on Mandalore he was glad to have a break from the constant fighting and traveling.
He could tell you were too, finally being able to catch more than just an hour or two of sleep. The child was happier as well, being able to play with the local kids.
Greef folds his hands on the table, looking at Din with a sigh. Unbeknownst to the magistrate, he rises a brow under his helmet, looking at him expectantly.
"Do you plan on staying?" Greef asks, looking straight at where he believes Din's eyes must be. Din tilts his head, not sure what his friend is getting at.
"Maybe, why?" he gives back warily, brows furrowing. Greef only nods, leaning back in his chair. "And what about her?" he questions further, eyes still fixed on the warrior in front of him. Din licks his lip, feeling his heart rate pick up at the mention of you.
He'd love for you to stay with him, but he'd never make a move on it. You were too precious to him, for him ruining you.
"What do you mean?" he wants to know, leather creaking quietly, as his hands flex in a nervous manner. Greef huffs, crossing his arms over his chest. "You know exactly what I mean, Din."
Din sighs, looking away. He in fact knows what the older man is hinting at, yet he tries to play dumb.
"I don't know what you mean."
Greef rolls his eyes, frustration seeping through, as he silently curses at the mandalorian. "Do you love her?" he asks him the same question he had asked you earlier.
Din's eyes widen under his helmet, as he believes he must have misheard him. "I have to go." he mutters, pushing himself out of the chair. "Do you love her?" Greef repeats louder, and Din stiffens, back turned towards him.
"'Cause if you do, you should tell her."
Din can't help but huff at his words, turning back around to him. "And why should I do that?" he demands to know, taking a step closer. "So she takes the first ship to another planet?"
"Because she loves you!" Greef responds angrily, standing from his chair. "Because she loves you and she asked me the same question earlier - Asked if you would stay, or if you'd leave her behind."
Din is taken aback by his words, body freezing.
His heart goes rigid in his chest, hands sweating, but he stays still. "She doesn't know me." he mutters, shaking his head. "She doesn't know your face." Greef responds. "There's a difference."
Din swallows, wiping his hands on his thighs, even though he wears gloves.
"She told me about the mandalorian marriage." Greef explains, licking his lip. "Said that you'd be able to take the helmet off in front of your wife."
Din winces, shaking his head again.
"She wouldn't want me." he insists, looking down. "Are you sure about that?" Greef responds, causing Din's heart to jump dangerously at the prospect. "She said she doesn't need to see your face to love you."
Din breathes in shakily, biting his lip, before his gaze meets his friends. Greef nods encouragingly, silently telling him to finally make a move on his feelings.
You are important to him, and he can tell that you are struggling with your feelings for Din. Pushing you two in the right direction is the least he could do for you.
Meanwhile, you are sitting with the child in between a group of kids. They had spotted you, asking if Grogu could play with them, and invited you to sit with them.
Din neares the group, already having spotted you due to the height difference - not because you seem to radiate under the sun, glowing like a goddess to him.
Of course not.
He stops behind you, taking a moment to watch the child jump on the numbers the kids had scribbled on the ground with chalk.
It looks like something out of a book, he notices. The peaceful and calm atmosphere seems strange to him.
Clearing his throat, he gets your attention, motioning for you to follow him with a tilt of his helmet. Asking the kids to look after Grogu, you stand up, following him.
He walks a few feet away, only stopping when no one's in earshot anymore.
"I'm thinking about staying." he begins, after a short silence. You nod, brows furrowing slightly. "How come?" you ask. He takes a moment longer to answer, gaze wandering behind you to the kids still playing with Grogu, before he looks back at you.
"Mandalore is still in reconstruction, and we will have to stay somewhere in the meantime." he explains, your heart picking up its pace at his choice of words. "We?" you ask, hope flaming up in your chest.
Would he stay with you, or let you stay with him, now that Mandalore is going to be rebuilt?
You had been spending time with the mandalorian for almost the whole while he was traveling with Grogu now, but never really had a place to stay at.
Except for Nevarro now.
"Grogu and I." he responds, and your heart cracks as he extinguishes the flame, before it had really become one.
Your face falls and you do your best not to let him notice, as you force yourself to smile, nodding with tears pricking in your eyes.
"Sure." you mumble, biting your lip, as you look down.
"And you if you want to."
You're heart stops at his words, gaze snapping back to his.
He swallows, heart racing in his chest. He's nervous, hands sweating in his gloves, as he tries to study your reaction.
"Really?" you want to know, fearing he'd take it back. But he nods, taking a step closer. "I talked to Greef." he admits, tilting his head.
You huff, now knowing why he came up with the topic in the first place.
"Of course, you have." you mumble, looking away from him. How much did Greef tell him? You should have known something was up, when he asked you to take the child with you.
He makes a sound like he wants to say something, but it gets stuck in his throat. "I like you." he then presses out, fists clenching at his sides.
He hates to talk about his feelings, never really having been good at it.
Your heart jumps, breath hitching in your throat as you look back at him. "I like you and I want you to stay with us." he adds, voice shaky even through the modulator.
You're not sure what exactly he means, goosebumps covering your arms at the prospect. "What do you mean you like me?" you ask, swallowing at the nerves bubbling up.
He sighs, helmet tilting downwards. "I mean that-" he sighs again in frustration, arms moving at his sides, as he seems to fight with himself, before he looks back up at you. "I mean that I have feelings for you, Y/N."
Your heart stutters in your chest, before it doubles its speed. Blinking rapidly, you try to process his words.
"I-I have feelings for you, too." you stutter, taking a step towards him. He inhales shakily, relief flooding him.
No matter what Greef had told him about your feelings for him, he still could have been wrong.
The relief momentarily blocks out the fear he's feeling, but it returns just as fast as it was gone.
"But I'm scared, cyar'ika." he voices, not giving you a chance to respond further, heart fluttering at the endearment. You had only heard it once before, and you were sure it meant something special.
"I don't want to bring you in harms way even further, because you'd be my weak spot."
You blush, still shocked at his confession.
"But the child is a weak spot, too." you remind him quietly, tilting your head as your brows furrow slightly.
"I don't want to end up like Paz." he whispers, voice cracking. "And another weak spot would only add to that possibility. When something happens to me you'd be left on your own. When something happens to you or the child-" he shakes his head, swallowing.
"I wouldn't know what to do."
You take another step closer, hand finding its way onto his arm, trying to comfort him. "Din, that won't happen." you assure him, trying to catch his gaze through the helmet.
"Paz had a son." he arguments, shaking his head at you. "His son lost his father." "He was a foundling." you retort, still feeling bad for the boy. "He'll learn to live without him, he still has a family: the other mandalorians."
Paz was a good man, he had sacrificed himself for his people, leaving behind his son.
"And what's with my wife, Grogu, kids of my own?" he questions. He's agitated, body trembling at the thought of disappointing you.
Your eyes widen at his words.
His wife, kids of his own.
He seems to notice what he said, a gasp leaving his lips, as his eyes widen as well. "I-I mean-" he stutters, panic creeping into his voice, but you smile at him.
"Din, you don't have to keep doing the dirty work for the rest of your life." you give back softly, silently hating that you can't see his eyes.
He snorts, taking a step back, so your hand falls from his arm. "And credits come flowing, sure."
Rolling your eyes, you shake your head. "We will find something that's less dangerous. Aside from that I'm sure Mandalore will have a place for us, a job. We'd manage."
"You're saying that like it would all be so easy for us." he gives back, shaking his head as well. You nod, licking your lip. "I know it's not always going to be easy, but I'm sure we'll manage." you repeat, closing the distance again.
He falls silent at that, only staring at you.
He can't seem to grasp why you were willing to spend your life with him - a mandalorian, someone who's made more enemies than he can possibly count.
"And now let's get back to the point where you told me you have feelings for me." you rasp out, taking your hand in his.
His hand tightens around yours, thumb brushing over your knuckles as he exhales shakily.
"Do you know how long I hoped for you to say those words?" you chuckle, smiling up at him. He huffs, shaking his head with a chuckle of his own.
"I was sure you wouldn't want me." he breathes out, licking his lip. You huff, smile widening. "You have no clue, Din." you tell him. "And even if I don't know what you look like yet, I'm sure I will love it as well. It's not only your face, Din. It's you - everything about you, the way you care for the ones you love and how you do everything to protect them. It's you I love, not only the face I have yet to see. And if I have to marry you to see your face, I can't wait."
He's stunned at your words, mouth agape even though you can't see it.
He's never heard such beautiful words directed at him before. Hearing them come out of your mouth, only makes them more beautiful.
"Ni kar'tayli gar darasuum." he mutters, his voice soft. You tilt your head at him, not sure what he said. "It's mando'a." he says, and you swear you hear him smile under his helmet. "It means I love you."
You inhale sharply, eyes widening, and he wonders if he took it too far. "It sounds so beautiful." you reply, smiling broadly at him. He sighs in relief, smile returning.
"Ni kartayl gar darasum." you try to repeat it and he laughs, lightly shoving you at the way you mispronounce the words.
"We'll practice that." he assures you chuckling, wrapping his arm around you, to lead you back to the kids.
"For now let's focus on marrying so you can finally see my face."

Tumblr media
A while ago, you and John had decided you wanted to spice things up a little.
You were still a little inexperienced, not having done much before other than the typical sexual activities like blow jobs and fucking, so John decided to take matters into his hands and show you a few things.
Right now he was struggling to keep himself together and not bend you over the table, pounding into you until you were screaming his name backwards.
You were standing in just your bathrobe before him, just about to shower, as he came home, sitting down at the table to write a shopping list, when you entered the room.
You wanted to take his hand and guide him to the bathroom to join you in the shower, but he had other plans.
"I want to try something new." John said, stopping you in your movement, his hands holding your hips in place.
Curious, you looked down at him, waiting for him to continue. Whatever it was he wanted to try, the heat pooling in-between your thighs only intensified at the unknown.
He guided you closer towards him, making you sit down on his thigh, causing your breathing to hitch, as your naked cunt made contact with the fabric of his jeans.
It was a new sensation, rough and somehow wild. It had you shivering in anticipation, heart hammering in your chest, as he unfastened the belt on your robe.
Then his hands found their way back towards you hips, fitting like a glove. They were made for you and only you.
"Okay..." he mumbled, the grip on your hips intensifying the slightest bit, as he carefully started to guide you.
"And now, just relax."
You did as you were told, trying to relax but stiffening, when he made you move on his thigh. The rough fabric of his jeans rubbed against your clit, a moan stuck in your throat.
It wasn't as pleasant as you might have hoped for, but John hushed you, eyes meeting yours. "It'll get better, I promise." he spoke softly, pecking your lips.
His hard-on was pushing at the front if his jeans, getting more and more uncomfortable for him. But he wanted to have you come on his thigh first, wanted to show you how good it would feel.
You nodded, relaxing again, as you exhaled shakily.
John started to move you again, forwards and backwards in a steady but building rhythm, tilting you slightly and there it was-
A moan escaped your lips, heat rushing towards your center and cheeks at the sudden pleasure the new angle brought you.
John smiled to himself, repeating the motion with more pressure.
It shot through your body, into your toes and up your head. The pleasure was constantly building, tightening the familiar knot in your stomach, as you stumbled towards your first orgasm of the night.
"John!" you breathed out his name in a raspy moan and he returned it with one of his own, biting his lip to concentrate on the movements, as your hands took a hold of his shoulders.
You slowly took over, getting faster. One of his hands cupped your breast, thumb brushing over the stiff nipple.
You jolted, seeing stars.
His lips attached to it, sucking at the peaked bud, tongue swirling around it. More sparks shot through you at his actions, toes curling.
"I'm close!" you rasped out, noticing how the fabric of his jeans became wetter from your arousal. It made it easier to move, as one of your hands fisted his shirt.
His other hand found your clit, thumb drawing quick circles, matching the speed of your movement, when he let go of your nipple.
"Come for me." he muttered in your ear and you followed his command, as you came hard.
The coil snapped, sending you straight over the edge, as your fluids soaked his thigh. It blinded you momentarily, his name falling off your lips in hushed whispers.
He helped you ride out your high as your legs gave out, eventually holding you in place.
Breathing heavily you tried to calm down.
John watched you with hungry eyes, waiting for you to come down from your high, glowing like a goddess.
"Wow." you managed to breathe out, chuckling at him. "That was amazing." He grinned back at you, before he made you stand up.
Looking down at his leg he tskd, shaking his head. "My my, look what a mess you made."
You blushed at his words, his need for you making them huskier. "Gotta clean that up."
You nodded eagerly, taking his hands in yours. "And I know just how to." you told him, walking towards the bathroom.
"Just relax."

The Mandalorian x reader
Summary: Greef Karga takes it upon himself to help two fools find their way together.
Warnings/Tags: hurt, fluff, comfort, mentions of character death, a little angst (but only if you squint), spoilers for season 3
Word count: 2.652
Authors note: Hello my loves! Just finished season three of The Mandalorian, and I can't help but write something for my beloved Din! Seriously, I love him so much.
Also, I somehow wrote this not in past tense, but present tense. Don't know how that happened, but I'm okay with it.
Enjoy!

After the fight on Mandalore he is glad to have a break from the constant fighting and traveling.
He could tell you are too, finally being able to catch more than just an hour or two of sleep. The child is happier as well, being able to play with the local kids.
