Oh, but Paris isn’t for changing planes, it’s… it’s for changing your outlook, for… for throwing open the windows and letting in… letting in la vie en rose.

what's your favorite color and why?
“Blue, because it’s the color of Evan’s eyes.”

how are you and evan? are there any kids in the future?
“We’re doing great. Uh… we’ve talked about kids but we’re both too busy to commit to that right now.”

evdemetriou:
“That’s not a terrible idea at all, I’d love to visit all of those places with you.” Evan said. If they plan this right, they could probably visit more than three places during the amount of holiday time he’ll be given. A month, at least, of no work, emails, or phonecalls; just Andrea. He pulled out two glasses from the cupboard, holding them in one hand while he moved towards the refrigerator. “What do you want to drink?” He asked, eyeing the variety of juice they have. Evan would usually go for a glass of wine but he’s not feeling it tonight, instead grabbing the pineapple-orange mix. “You can choose what we watch tonight, too.”
It felt a little silly after they’d been together for so long, but Evan still had a way of making her feel a thrill go up her spine, like tacking “with you” to the end of a sentence. “We could visit the Anne Frank house and drink champagne next to the river.” Like The Fault In Our Stars, minus making out in a historical landmark, and without chronic illness. “Mm...” She pursed her lips in thought, resting her cheek against his arm because she was too short to get her chin over his shoulder to look in the fridge. “Just give me what you’re having.” Did pineapple-orange juice go well with white wine pasta? She supposed there was only one way to find out. Her brain began to churn with more ideas, but she kept them up in her head for the moment. “I don’t even know what’s on. I’ve been watching kid’s programming for so long - maybe we can rewatch Harry Potter.” Yet another kids movie, but at least it was one she’d grown up with.

“i’m working off the if-you-can’t-see-it-it-can’t-see-you method. it’s working quite well.” it was the truth: the more he pretended he was fine, the more fine he was. “exactly. just fly back and forth. canada’s warm season is enviable.”
“Mm. I hope that works better for you than it did for me.” Andrea used to do that a lot, but instead of it working it just made her keep everything in until she just exploded and snapped at everyone. “I’ve never been to Canada but I’d like to. Have you been or is it just a dream at this point?”

“preaching to the choir, babe,” he said, licking his lips as he put out his cigarette. “greece should be everybody’s getaway, honestly–i think i’d rather retire to some remote section of canada.”
“Hey, you know what? Mistakes were made, but at least we’re still tryna kick it and we’re doing our best - that’s what I try to tell myself, at least.” She was happy now, and healthy, and that’s what was important. “Canada? I hear it’s super cold there. Although, I guess you could go to Greece for the Canadian cold season and go back to Canada to catch Canada’s warm season.”

“it’s because london is a depressive episode waiting to happen,” he said, scratching his cheek slightly. “greece is gorgeous, yeah–london is like a desaturated painting comparatively. it’s sad.”
“Oh, I’m sorry. I get them too, sometimes. The weather gets to me sometimes, or I run into someone I don’t want to see and it ruins my mood for weeks. But-. I have a long history of that so, can’t get away from it.” She wasn’t going to delve too deeply into that. “It really is. The weather, the architecture, everything. But you know, maybe when I retire Greece will be my getaway.”
