Some discourse about this fandom came up when someone basically made a post critiquing the fandom because it apparently 'doesn't take horror seriously' or whatever. looking back at the old stories, is it really that serious?

A lot of the old Creepypasta stories weren't exactly the pinnacle of well-written horror in the first place 💀like do you really need to be trying to defend the 'sanctity of the horror genre' in this fandom of all places?

I mean honestly, who cares? Yeah I like horror but if people want to have fun with it, let them lol. It's never really been for 'horror purists' or whatever and that's completely okay! Not everything has to be.
