spring horror is good because of the symbolism of death and rebirth and storms and everything being vibrant but still cold. and summer horror is good because sweltering heat and insects and long days. and fall horror is good because halloween and death and scary movies. and winter horror is good because snow contrasting with blood and freezing temperatures and long nights. btw.

In 1944 a kitten named George (short for General Electric) was saved from drowning by a U.S. Navy crew member. George was then photographed and given a liberty card and detailed health record. Source.

the way the doctor begs hysterically not to leave his life as john smith. how desperately he yearns to be human. how he fantasises about marriage and children and growing old with the person he loves. and how vehemently the people around insist, he insists that he’ll never be able to have that. and it’s heartbreaking for the audience too, seeing him stripped down to what he longs for so deeply when we know as well that it’s impossible. it’s just such a tragic hopeless episode. except then a year later the impossible actually becomes real. he gets his greatest wish of spending a short, human life with the person he loves. and just watching that episode back with that knowledge it hits me how much tentoo was a dream come true for the doctor every bit as much as it was for rose, maybe even more so
