      When Mike heard those words coming from Will’s lips, he became speechless and a soft blush appeared on his cheeks “You love me?” 

He really had said it out loud, hadn’t he? How is he not panicking right now? How is Will standing here instead of running away? Why isn’t Mike running away? Maybe he still hasn’t fully proccessed what Will has told him, maybe he has misunderstood. And for a moment, Will considers pretending that he loves Mike like he loves his family. Wouldn’t that be better? Safer? But...he doesn’t want to lie to Mike, not anymore. And part of him, hopes, just hopes that knowing that someone loves you is a good thing. Even if that someone is Will. 

After a moment of silence, Will nods, scared. God, he is so scared that everything is now ruined between them. He opens his mouth to speak, and perhaps he should explain, but all he can do for now is just nod.
