Had an out of town friend visit last month so we hit up Tradisyon in midtown, which was this super cute, hole-in-the-wall Filipino joint. I got the BBQ chicken while she got the chicken lumpia, while I got the lechon kawali (roasted pork belly, bokchoy, crispy garlic, shallots, scallions, Mang Tomas gravy sauce, and atchara) for my entree while she got the pork adobo (pork belly braised in soy vinegar bayleaf, black pepper, eggs, scallions, and crispy garlic). Not pictured but we also got the ube ice cream for dessert which was great.

Got around to visiting Kaiten Zushi, the conveyor belt sushi place in Nomad which I had passed a bunch of times before, and it didn't disappoint! My friend and I got a number of appeteizers, including the chicken gyoza, Berkshire sausage, crab croquettes, and the karaage, and while the sushi selection changes, we got the wagyu sushi, the California tempura sushi, and the pork belly sushi.
