i stopped listening to kfam yearrrsssssss ago but i just caught up on the drama and i’m really not surprised 😂 like dont get me wrong, i liked kfam when i listened to it but it always seemed to me like a b rated night vale lol, like i loved the characters and most of the actors did a really good job!! but kyle and them make it out like it’s some big masterpiece and it’s literally just like. a pretty average podcast lol

#ABSOLUTELY don’t take this post as me bashing anyone for liking it this is legit just my opinion that i’m posting ab on my blog #this is NOT to say that fans can’t like it and think it’s well done!! #and i stopped listening at ep like 90 or smthing so idk what it got to from there #but to me the quality overal is subpar and i’ve heard it gets worse #not that i don’t think an effort was made or that the plot didn’t have an interesting premise #but like. it’s never been the monument to podcasting kyle makes it out to be LOL #trash.txt

night vale was such an experiment in fan interpretation. you have a leading character who’s appearance is never described beyond “not fat or thin or short or tall”. the most we really know about like, personal characteristics is that he’s a radio announcer. he’s gay. he owns a cat. he’s jewish. he’s weird. the only real thing the audience gets that’s clear cut is that he dresses very badly; like humorously awful. fanny packs and fur tunics. and what is the most prevalent, wide reaching fan interpretation of this? thin blond white dude in a suit.

#there are a lot of people in the notes of this being like ‘i havent seen a white cecil’ and all that but believe me yall #that was basically the ONLY interpretation #i was a fan in like 2013 #i wasnt on tumblr but i was on pinterest and i have a whole board full of skinny white dudes as cecil #and i was 12 so like i didnt think anything of it but huh how Fucked Up #wtnv #text #cecil
