I've been writing mdzs and tgcf fanfiction for so long now that my brain immediately goes "Use their full name". I just wrote Midoriya Izuku seven consecutive times before realising I can just write either Midoriya or Izuku.

i just realised. i have a dog named zorro. zorro means fox in spanish. zorro is brown in colour. i have another dog named zen. zen enjoys his sleep. he's always lazing around the house. zorro jumps over zen quite often.
do you see my point? bc the quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog

Now that the reveal is posted, I just wanted to thank you SO much for the wonderful fic you wrote for me!! I absolutely love it, it was so sweet, I absolutely loved how LWJ was so absolutely useless at flirting (I relate very much) and WWX was completely oblivious! And all the character bonds were amazing! Thank you!!💛
I'm so glad you liked it!! It was a long thing for me, and I submitted it at the very last minute. I spent quite a while working on it, so seeing that you enjoyed it fills me up with joy. Thank you for your kind words 💛💛

Winter Solstice gift @vedrividia!
Hello luv, I hope you like the gift! I really tried to write that angsty fic you mentioned in your ‘likes’, but I’m really bad at writing angst and I honestly felt like whatever I had written looked really bad. I ended up writing a coffee shop au instead. I’ve never written any coffee shop aus before so I hope I haven’t done a terrible job. I hope you don’t cringe at the use of their given names, I’ve never understood the concept of courtesy names, and I’m not sure if they’re still in use in modern times. And I have used quite a few parentheses, as well as dialogues. I do wish it’s up to mark, and you find it satisfactory.

Lan Zhan Meets Coffee
Lan Zhan’s drinking coffee? What?
Lan Huan was confused. Lan Zhan had a coffee in his hand. Lan Zhan hates coffee with a seething passion. If anyone asked Lan Huan, he would tell them that Lan Zhan would rather be cooked and then fed to rats than drink a cup of coffee. Lan Zhan had always run away at even the slightest mention of coffee. Lan Zhan and coffee is a big no-no, has always been a big no-no, and will forever be a big no-no.
But here they were, staring at each other in the middle of their uncle’s living room, and Lan Zhan had a coffee in his hand.
Within the five seconds that Lan Huan had been staring at Lan Zhan (and the coffee in his hand what the fuck-), Lan Zhan proceeded to put the paper cup to his mouth and take a long, loud sip from it. Lan Huan took a step back. Lan Zhan raised an eyebrow, ever so elegantly. He almost seemed amused, as if he were laughing at Lan Huan. Looking at the expression on his face, he might as well be. The corners of his lips were turned up, and the glint in his eyes screamed out his glee.
“I wanted to try it.”
Lan Huan watched in horror as Lan Zhan took another sip from his cup. He wanted to scream or cry, or both. Probably both. He settled for laughing instead. The laugh could have ranged anywhere from jovial to maniacal. Lan Huan had always doubted if anyone other than him could tell. (Lan Zhan always could)
“A-Zhan. Since when have you started drinking coffee?”
Lan Zhan shrugged. He shrugged. Lan Huan hadn’t even known Lan Zhan knew what a shrug was, let alone carrying out the action himself.
“It’s been a few weeks. Nie Huaisang took me to a new shop.”
That statement confused Lan Huan even further. Lan Zhan was never able to get along well with Nie Huaisang. They’d grown up around each other, but Lan Zhan found Nie Huaisang to be too outgoing. They had nearly nothing in common. To know that Lan Zhan and Nie Huaisang have not only been getting along well, but also been hanging out together outside of Lan Huan and Nie Mingjue’s influence makes Lan Huan’s heart soar with joy.
“It’s great to know you and A-Sang are getting along. How often have you been meeting up at this shop?”
Lan Zhan looked puzzled. He tilted his head to the left, it was slight, but still there. “We haven’t.”
What.
His confusion must have shown on his face (again) because the next thing Lan Zhan said was, “I go by myself.”
Lan Huan let out a sharp breath, “A-Zhan. Why?”
Lan Zhan shrugged. Again. Lan Huan felt a small tear fall out of his eye. He felt as if he was going crazy, and all his questions were left unanswered.
“Do you want to go?”
Lan Huan perked up slightly, “To the coffee shop?”
“Mn. It’s a bunny café.”
Lan Zhan looked happy, it was adorable. Lan Huan let his smile widen, “You must like the bunnies a lot then?”
“Mn.”
“I would love to go with you.”
Lan Qiren walked into his living room expecting to find his two nephews. There was no one there. He sighed and checked his phone. Lan Huan sent him a message 12 minutes ago, “A-Zhan’s taking me to a bunny cafe! We’ll be back in time for dinner ♪(´▽`)”
Lan Qiren sat down and turned the tv on, he had a good few hours to kill before they came back home. He wondered if his nephews were going to A-Ying’s Bunny Café; he'd been planning on taking them there himself.
Lan Qiren heard a ping coming from his phone. Lan Huan sent him a photo.
They went to A-Ying’s Bunny Café. Lan Qiren supposed he’d have to alter their plans for the weekend. At least he knew Lan Zhan liked it enough that he’s taking other people there. It was endearing.
Wei Ying opened up his café exactly 3 weeks ago. His first few customers consisted of the Jiangs and Nie Huaisang. And Nie Huaisang’s friend. Nie Huaisang’s really hot friend. Wei Ying didn’t think anyone as hot as Lan Zhan could even really exist, but he does. And he’s currently standing in his café for the 27th time since the café opened, 9th time this week, and 2nd time today.
Wei Ying was 99% sure Lan Zhan hated him. He was just glad that the bunnies and the coffee were enough of a reason for Lan Zhan to keep coming by. He was just glad that all his flirting wasn’t enough of a reason to drive him away. He couldn’t help it, he really couldn’t! Lan Zhan was just so pretty the words flew out of his mouth. And the way Lan Zhan’s ears turned red everytime he said something? Wei Ying knew he was embarrassing him, but it was just addicting. It was adorable.
Lan Zhan came in with his brother today. Lan Huan was also rather hot, Wei Ying supposed it had to be the genes, although Lan Zhan was much hotter. Everything about Lan Huan seemed more expressive. Where Lan Zhan showcases his emotions through small twitches of his lips, through the shape of his eyes, Lan Huan seems to broadcast his emotions freely, with warm smiles and eyes open in awe. It was cute, although Lan Zhan was much cuter.
Maybe Wei Ying was slowly falling in love with Lan Zhan. But Wei Ying can't ruin whatever they have between them. Lan Zhan single handedly makes up 60% of all of Wei Ying's income. That is a lot of money. If this continues, and the business doesn't grow any further than it is now, Lan Zhan will be the only thing keeping the business afloat. Wei Ying needs him.
But when Lan Zhan smiles at him, he can't help but fantasise what it would be like to feel Lan Zhan's lips on his.
And then Nie Huaisang throws open the doors. “Huan-ge! You called me? Hi Yingying, I haven't seen you in a while!”
Wei Ying grinned, Huaisang was always a delight. He was like one of those cute little fat snakes that people kept as pets. Wei Ying called out to him as Nie Huaisang beelined towards Lan Huan, “Aww, did you miss me? I've missed you more than my little heart could possibly take! We haven't seen each other in two whole days!”
His voice was met with peals of laughter. Wei Ying really did love Huaisang, they really could just vibe together. It was amazing.
Lan Zhan was looking at them weirdly, but he quickly went back to playing with the bunny he’d sat on his lap. He was one of the more extroverted ones, he loved being around customers, always waiting for a chance to be the centre of attention. Wei Ying always thought it was funny how he always gravitated towards Lan Zhan; they were polar opposites.
More customers walked in just then. Wei Ying greeted them with a smile, he couldn’t just fixate all his attention onto Lan Zhan, he had a business to run after all.
Lan Huan was confident Lan Zhan had a crush on Wei Ying. From the moment they walked in the doors Lan Zhan directed all his attention towards Wei Ying. Every single second Wei Ying wasn’t looking towards Lan Zhan, Lan Zhan was looking towards Wei Ying. And with the amount Wei Ying was looking towards Lan Zhan, Lan Huan was almost certain the crush was reciprocated.
But it could just be that Lan Zhan’s a high paying customer, and Wei Ying wants to get on his good side. Not that Wei Ying could ever get on Lan Zhan’s bad side. One thing Lan Huan knows for certain is that when Lan men fall, they fall. And they can’t get back up.
And so Lan Huan called up the person that got everyone into this mess in the first place.
Nie Huaisang.
“Huan-ge! You called me? Hi Yingying, I haven't seen you in a while!”
And so Nie Huaisang was familiar with Wei Ying. This is good. Lan Huan was worried that maybe Nie Huaisang had found this place on a whim, that he had no connection with Wei Ying, that it was all a coincidence. But this was not true, and Lan Huan can eat his croissant and pet the bunny on his lap with ease.
“A-Sang. What kind of a person is Wei Ying?”
Nie Huaisang’s face split into a feral grin, “So you’ve noticed, then?”
Lan Huan sighed, “Of course I’ve noticed. A-Sang, A-Zhan absolutely loathes coffee. And ever since he’s brought me here, A-Zhan and Wei Ying keep staring at each other with these deep looks of longing. And the thing is, neither of them realise that they’re even pining. Is this what it was like for you before A-Jue and I got together?”
Nie Huaisang’s grin grew wider, “Well for starters, I was fully enjoying the show between you and da-ge when it was going on. Sometimes I still do,” he winked. Lan Huan was horrified, “but you gotta let Yingying and Lan Zhan’s relationship run their course.”
Nie Huaisang’s grin seemed to grow wider than his face, “Or you can interfere.”
“Interfere?”
Nie Huaisang nodded gleefully, “Go talk to Wei Ying. You’ll see.”
Lan Huan was befuddled, “See what?” Nie Huaisang was pushing him out of his seat.
In a matter of milliseconds, Lan Huan found himself in front of Wei Ying. He cleared his throat.
Wei Ying plastered on his face what could only be a ‘customer service smile’, “Can I help you with something?”
“How are you doing?”
Wei Ying was slightly taken aback, but the smile remained all the same, “I’m fine thank you, and you?”
Lan Huan could feel the awkwardness building up at the base of his gut, “I’m good too.”
And it was silent once more. Lan Huan could see Nie Huaisang face-palming out of the corner of his eye.
Lan Huan forced himself to speak up, “How long have you had this place open?”
“Today marks the third week. It really is amazing how well we’re doing, it feels like just yesterday that I was waiting for my first customer,” Wei Ying looked reminiscent, “Sangsang was the first person to walk in, throwing open the doors like he always does. Your brother followed him in, not long after.”
Lan Huan was slightly surprised, “A-Zhan was your first customer?”
Wei Ying chuckled, “Technically, Sangsang was my first customer, Zhan-gege was my second.”
“You call him Zhan-gege?”
“Well, it was really a way to tease him at first. I guess I got used to it? I think it’s kinda cute.”
Lan Huan didn’t really know what face he was making, “It is cute.”
Wei Ying looked like a deer caught in headlights, “Er, thank you?”
Lan Huan sighed, at this point, whatever talking Nie Huaisang wanted them to do clearly wasn’t happening. “Wei Ying, I think my brother has a crush on you.”
Wei Ying’s face turned redder than the shirt he was wearing, “What.”
“I think my brother has a crush on you.”
“Haha. Ha. No he doesn’t, this is a really weird prank to play, my friend.”
Lan Huan was confused, he seemed to be confused a lot today, it must be the absurdity of everything, “Why would I prank you about this?”
“Because just 10 minutes ago I was thinking about kissing him! Clearly you’re a freaky mind reader or something, because you’re making fun of me!”
Lan Zhan was standing beside them. Lan Huan didn’t notice when he approached them, and considering the way Wei Ying tripped over the counter, he certainly didn’t. “Wei Ying. You were thinking about kissing me?”
Nie Huaisang was chuckling behind a handkerchief. He really was enjoying the show, wasn’t he? Lan Huan couldn’t help but find it a little amusing as well.
Wei Ying ran to the back. Lan Zhan followed him in a brisk walk.
The other customers definitely found it amusing, an older woman was smiling behind her cup as she watched the drama go down. Her husband, Lan Huan presumed, guffawed, “Young love.”
Nie Huaisang walked up to where Lan Huan was standing, “By ‘interfere’, I meant for you to drop a few hints here and there. I didn’t mean for you to say it to his face.”
Lan Huan raised an eyebrow, “What else was I supposed to say?”
Nie Huaisang shook his head, “Never change, Huan-ge. Never change.”
What was that supposed to mean?
Lan Zhan was absolutely mortified. When Lan Zhan teased his brother with all that coffee, he never meant for his brother to reveal his secret feelings to his crush. He wasn’t expecting it. He didn’t even think it was that obvious.
Maybe Lan Huan just knows him too well?
Wei Ying was hiding behind a large bag of coffee beans. Lan Zhan really hates coffee. It has a strong smell, and if he were in this same position three weeks ago, the smell would have made him barf.
But he’s not in the same position, and he’s been drinking Wei Ying’s coffee religiously for three weeks straight. There’s just something about Wei Ying that makes Lan Zhan want to drink his coffee.
Maybe it was the way he makes it?
Or maybe Lan Zhan was trying to fruitlessly lie to himself, and it’s just the fact that Wei Ying has a pretty face and personality?
Probably the latter.
“Lan Zhan,” it seems Wei Ying noticed him “Do you really have a crush on me?”
Lan Zhan nodded, although Wei Ying probably wouldn’t have been able to see it in the dark. “Mn.”
“Then, Zhan-gege,” Lan Zhan could hear the shy smile in his voice, “Would you like to date me?”
“Mn.”
Lan Zhan could feel Wei Ying’s breath on his neck, “Zhan-gege, can I kiss you?”
Lan Zhan took the initiative to kiss Wei Ying himself.

I loved this!! So much. It's two of my favorite tropes mixed in one, and it's adorable, and cracky.
Winter Solstice gift for @webawee!
I hope you enjoy it!!

Wei Ying's day off
Wei Wuxian felt a chill down his spine, but he assumed it was either because the blanket lay discarded at the feet of their bed, or due to Lan Zhan’s hardness buried deep inside his body.
Last night they had been quite busy, because Lan Wangji was expected that very morning in Yunmeng for a short cultivation conference that would keep him apart from his husband for almost three days… so the two of them had wanted thei0072 last night together to be quite memorable.
Even soft, Lan Zhan had wanted to remain inside of him for as long as possible… And now, they both were coming awake due to the insatiable Lan member coming alive yet again.
After the last round of lovemaking Lan Zhan could really afford before being truly late, Wei Wuxian got himself clean while watching him fresh off the basin and dressing up. Another chill run through him when his skin touched the water, and a soft sneeze followed.

I used to be the 16 tabs kid.
I now have over 100 tabs open and all of them are ao3
I have transcended wasting my life away on the site and have accepted it
I'm never coming back out
why do people keep trying to one up each other on how many ao3 tabs they have open?
like "Oh, I have 16 tabs"
"That's it? I have 84 tabs open"
like wtf we're all wasting our lives on the same site

Question: Is it Gian, Jaian or Giant? How do people usually say his name? I grew up on Gian (Jee-an), as that's how it was pronounced in Hindi. Then I discovered the Japanese version with english subs, and in that one he was called Jaian, or Giant. I can see where it's coming from, but now I don't know what to write in my fics when I'm writing him.

Do your thoughts run around really fast in your head and suddenly it slows down and sounds suspiciously like your mom's voice when she's trying to slowly explain and emphasize to you as if you were a little kid, or is it just me?
