all i ever hear from everyone is dont hate dawn. dawn hate is wrong. What about why love Dawn? where's that?

But if you want a Why I LOVE DAWN message

I love her because she is bright and engaging and FUNNY and loves her big sister more than anything but doesnt worship her, and keeps her on the ground. I love Dawn because where Buffy is ready to forgive (BECAUSE HUGEST HEART EVER) Dawn will slap Willow and threaten to set Spike on fire and tell Faith to fuck off and find a motel. I love Dawn because she kept quiet about her needs for so long, in endless support of her sister’s depression, and it fucked her up too. I love Dawn because she cares enough about the truth that she burns her own diaries because she knows they are false.  And its a vital quality thats barely there in any other character. I love Dawn because she lets her sister jump. Idk if you have a sister, but I do, and let me tell you that we would still be arguing on the ledge if it was us because I would never have the strength. But Dawn does. I love Dawn because she knows a key is not good or bad, so when she chooses to sacrifice herself-to use herself to end the ritual-she basically chooses to be good-to be human. I love Dawn because her screams are enough to make Buffy not jump off  the ledge again, but rescue her instead. Because Buffy literally cannot bear to hear that little girl screaming and its so beautiful. I love Dawn because she knows. Everything. Always. She knew Willow and Tara fought. She knew Buffy and Spike were sleeping together. She knew how Buffy felt about Riley. How Spike felt about Buffy. How Buffy felt about life in general. I love Dawn because she is the only one who figures out who the key is with just clues and doesnt need to be told. And fuck Xander for calling himself the seeing eye asshole or whatever because its always been Dawnie who sees and notices everything, not because she is not magically gifted-hello her blood opens portals- but because she has always been fond of knowing. LIKE WHAT A FASCINATING CHARACTER. HOW CAN YOU NOT LOVE EVERY FACET OF THIS TEENAGER???
