“You can run, but you can’t hideeeeee!” The monster chasing you calls out. But the monster doesn’t know that you are a marathon runner and so you just keep on running.

"safe" my heart oh 😭
AI defenders will make it seem as if art is this gatekept pastime that only the most elite can partake in and they’re making it possible for the “normies” to create meanwhile one of the most memorable pieces of recent art I’ve ever seen is “My son’s drawing of safe”

I always be my best to be non-judgemental of anyones appearance. deformity or not. Like, my parents will be watching TV and go like "wow that person got wayy too much plastic surgery!" and I'm like "..." Cause like... ok? You don't really need to point it out?
With all that being said, (DW this one is a funny story), one time when I was like... I couldn't have been any older than like 8. My babysitter took me to her house so we could make cookies. Her brother is on the couch playing video games. Her brother only has one leg, I don't remember what exactly happened but he got into an accident awhile ago I think.
Anyway, he had his prosthetic off cause he was chilling on the couch. Well... then little stupid kid me looked over... and realized their dog had 3 legs.
Now, I have autism, and when I was younger, I did that thing some autistic folks do, where I would just... say *anything on my mind.* Combine that with being a stupid little kid, and you end up saying some pretty wild stuff.
So my dumbass says "Where are all the legs going in this house??"
and my babysitter and her brother just burst out laughing.
Since I'm a very blunt autistic person, I MEANT IT AS LIKE A GENUINE QUESTION... but the phrasing just made it really fucking funny.
I'm glad he took it humorously, but I still feel SO FUCKING BAD every time I think about it 😭. Like I can't help but laugh because that is the funniest way little me could have phrased a question like that, but I feel so bad at the same time 😭😭😭.
yeah you're "punk" but are you normal about deformed people?

ARTIST TIP: you CAN save your crusty dusty paintbrushes that are crusted down to the base in dry acrylic paint!
DIRECTIONS:
Boil water, and take white vinegar. Put the vinegar in a mug or something, and then pour in the boiling water. Make sure there's a good amount of vinegar in there, but that the mixture is still hot enough to where it's steaming.
Soak the brushes for like 10-15 minutes. (you cannot let the mixture go cold while you're doing this, the brushes will harden again, that's why you need the mixture really hot while still having a lot of vinegar in it.)
Take them out and start gently brushing off the dried paint with a wire brush or something like a flea comb. (the comb should preferably have metal teeth, plastic teeth might melt due to the temp of the liquid. You also want it to have small teeth so that it can get in between the brush bristles.) Be careful while brushing so you don't pluck out hairs on the brushes. The heat can soften the glue that holds the bristles into the brush, so take care that you don't pull at the glue too much.
If the bristles get cold, dunk it back in the steaming mixture for about 10 seconds and keep brushing until the gunk is out. Take extra care with the base of the brush, paint can settle in there and be harder to get out than the rest of the brush.
You can also boil straight up vinegar, but it will make the entire room stink so...
ⓘ AND DO NOT BREATHE IN THE BOILED MIXTURE. I learned the hard way, vinegar steam is absolutely vile, it felt like all my airways were on fire. That's why I recommend mixing it with water since straight up boiling vinegar can make the entire room a lung irritant if you're not careful. Just don't breathe in vinegar steam, not pleasant.
Tumblr media
I should have taken a before picture, but just know this brush was crusted all the way down to the base with black acrylic paint, like, one solid chunk of paintbrush shaped paint.

Please help me find the worst color combinations possible.
At least 5 colors, but feel free to add more. I'm asking friends for bad color palettes because I want a challenge, but they keep accidentally making good looking ones. I want the WORST OF THE WORST. I want to be crying by the end of my drawing.
My challenge is that I want to draw a sprite for my game, using the worst colors possible but still making it look good. If you can make a disgusting enough color combo, if I use it I will @ you in the finished post.
I want to see you at your worst. I want colors so bad that they knockout uppercut me with how ugly they are together. I want a challenge, put my friends to shame with their good color choices, tumblr.

Happy Thanksgiving, if you celebrate it
I'm thankful for the food, and I'm thankful for making a lot of new friends this year, and I'm thankful that I'm safe and sound here, I'm thankful my elderly cats lived another year... (seriously I think the older one has to be 19-20 at this point)... And I'm thankful that I'm not burnt out from high school anymore.
All this being said, holy shit my moms side of the family doesn't know how to cook, they burnt stovetop stuffing last year... somehow. You know it's bad when grandpa is ripping pieces right off the turkey and feeding it to the dogs cause it's so unseasoned and dry. I got so mad I'm making mac and cheese out of spite. But also that I feel bad that nobody helps my mom cook all the food, seriously, she's expected to bring all of it.
Also they don't know I'm trans yet... even though I've been presenting extremely masc for... like... 6 years at this point. sigh. Too scared to tell them, don't wanna kill the thanksgiving vibe... which usually devolves into politics anyway. I can't eat at the main table anymore, eugh.
What are you thankful for? despite all the stuff that pisses you off, today is the day to look at the bright side of things.

On a VC with my friend @rainyyys0up just to hear "Oh s**t I accidentially drew Jerma."
and I was like "how do you Accidentially draw Jerma??"
Tumblr media
I think I've been laughing harder than I should be for the past 5 minutes at this point.
(art credit, of course, goes to @rainyyys0up)
We're now both laughing because I said "is it like an accidental religious symbol so it's legit and will like cause miracles and s**t?"
accidental Jerma symbol...

My teacher gave me an F for an assignment that I handed in. I asked her to change the grade but before she could, she was sent to jail for murder. I visited her in jail and asked her to change my grade so I could get on honor roll

you're SO SO PRETTY i'm so sorry you feel like it's hard, I know how much it sucks as a trans dude :(
I don't really have good tips since i'm on the other side of things per-se, but you could always try reading up some articles for how to work around different body shapes to get the illusion of the figure you want so you can hopefully feel a lil more confident?
it really helped me looking up tutorials like that, but mine was mostly "layer to make your torso boxy and maybe get some insoles to be taller" etc.
(if you can do it) maybe you could try a corset? I'm not talking Victorian can't breathe kind, but I know they can do absolute wonders to help achieve that more pulled in waist look. also, back support for the W.
getting dresses that flare out at the waist could also help, like poufy little petticoats and stuff.
if it's your shoulders DO NOT LET DYSPHORIA WIN YOU HAVE GORGEOUS SHOULDERS.
you cannot let dysphoria win, you have to kick the sh*t out of it with your heels. Personally I chose to stomp mine with my doc martens, but do whatever feels most affirming.
There are so so many people out there who think you're gorgeous, just remember that. I remember I was having a hard dysphoria day, I was out at the mall with my mom, and the prettiest girl I have EVER seen came up and told me I was real cute. (looking back I think she wanted my number or something but I didn't take the hint cause autism).
I know this was from like a day ago, but you slay so hard please never let anyone tell you otherwise. You're pretty, you're enough, and you can curbstop dysphoria any time it creeps up behind you. I believe in that, and I believe in you. From one internet stranger to another. <3
I want to be able to wear a dress and feel pretty. I'm tired of putting on feminine clothes and not looking feminine, and it makes me never want to leave my room in gender affirming clothing because I feel like I'll just be taken as a joke. it's so frustrating
