hey. posts like this are ableist. we can understand that, right? it's deliberately misusing a tool for screen readers in order to make a stupid joke. alt text has one purpose and using it for punchlines isn't actually funny. it is just ableist.

Maybe I've mentioned that I took an intro to design programs class last semester :3 I have a lot of classwork stockpiled, but these are all my favorite small assignments! I'll post the bigger projects later on

Slides 1, 2 and 7 were made on Photoshop, and 3-6 + 8-10 on Illustrator. Additionally, 2 and 4 use borrowed imagery (armadillo+hat+delicatessen and blank bag respectively) - all I made from scratch was the lamp haha

I found an extremely dope disability survival guide for those who are homebound, bedbound, in need of disability accommodations, or would otherwise like resources for how to manage your life as a disabled person. (Link is safe)

It has some great articles and resources and while written by people with ME/CFS, it keeps all disabilities in mind. A lot of it is specific to the USA but even if you're from somewhere else, there are many guides that can still help you. Some really good ones are:

How to live a great disabled life- A guide full of resources to make your life easier and probably the best place to start (including links to some of the below resources). Everything from applying for good quality affordable housing to getting free transportation, affordable medication, how to get enough food stamps, how to get a free phone that doesn't suck, how to find housemates and caregivers, how to be homebound, support groups and Facebook pages (including for specific illnesses), how to help with social change from home, and so many more.

Turning a "no" into a "yes"- A guide on what to say when denied for disability aid/accommodations of many types, particularly over the phone. "Never take no for an answer over the phone. If you have not been turned down in writing, you have not been turned down. Period."

How to be poor in America- A very expansive and helpful guide including things from a directory to find your nearest food bank to resources for getting free home modifications, how to get cheap or free eye and dental care, extremely cheap internet, and financial assistance with vet bills

How to be homebound- This is pretty helpful even if you're not homebound. It includes guides on how to save spoons, getting free and low cost transportation, disability resources in your area, home meals, how to have fun/keep busy while in bed, and a severe bedbound activity master list which includes a link to an audio version of the list on Soundcloud

Master List of Disability Accommodation Letters For Housing- Guides on how to request accommodations and housing as well as your rights, laws, and prewritten sample letters to help you get whatever you need. Includes information on how to request additional bedrooms, stop evictions, request meetings via phone, mail, and email if you can't in person, what you can do if a request is denied, and many other helpful guides

Special Laws to Help Domestic Violence Survivors (Vouchers & Low Income Housing)- Protections, laws, and housing rights for survivors of DV (any gender), and how to get support and protection under the VAWA laws to help you and/or loved ones receive housing and assistance

Dealing With Debt & Disability- Information to assist with debt including student loans, medical debt, how to deal with debt collectors as well as an article with a step by step guide that helped the author cut her overwhelming medical bills by 80%!

There are so many more articles, guides, and tools here that have helped a lot of people. And there are a lot of rights, resources, and protections that people don't know they have and guides that can help you manage your life as a disabled person regardless of income, energy levels, and other factors.

courtesy of this post for making me think abt this but . godddd the akane and delta parallels r There. specifically the paragraph abt delta's perception of love had me thinking

both akane and delta rlly do have a twisted idea of love huh!!

akane pushes ppl away and manipulates them so they can help her forge a better future.. out of Love. she recreates the same scenario out of love, just like how delta recreates clones of sean and left only to treat them like shit

she thinks she's doing junpei a favor by dying in the ab project to owe him back for saving her younger self. she tries to owe it to him again in the ztd timeline by killing carlos after his severed head is found

love him or hate him, u cant just ignore the interesting aspects of delta's character specifically in his relation to akane (both wanting to make a better world, espers, catholic/christian references/imagery, twisted idea of love)

but they have opposing views on fate. delta believes that fate is set in stone, that life is simply unfair and u have to learn to live w it. u have to deal w the cards ur dealt. but akane thinks differently. she believes that u can change fate, which is why she goes thru multiple histories trying to right the wrongs of the world. junpei also has a similar philosophy, although he doesnt agree w akane that theres a "one true timeline" bc the other histories r just as important

also the fact that their goals for their respective death games are to ensure their own existence. they recreate the environments they were traumatized in

idk i just think its neat and i wish we got to see their dynamic more

heyyy zero escape fandom, i have a fic idea thats in the works !!!! ik im just Some Guy but hopefully ill post it. heres the logline

akane kurashiki struggles to adjust to life without the guidance of red strings. or: akane opens her eyes to the strain of her relationships and the ways in which her trauma has affected her. 

if u like aromantic rep, junepei getting a divorce, themes re: the cycle of trauma and how that affects ppl, and basically 17k words of an akane character study... burn a picture may be the fic for u !!!! more info under the cut

so basically when i was playing thru ztd i had this idea of a post-ztd fic where junpei meets aoi without pretenses (bc in 999 he just knows him as santa and not aoi) and yk. insert haha funny shenanigans. but then i realized thats Boring so i scrapped that. then i wrote a fic abt akane and aoi's strained relationship post 999. though i didnt finish it. and THEN i had an idea where the kurashiki siblings, the klim family and junpei go on a roadtrip only to witness a murder. but never wrote it. so this fic was born, basically combining all those ideas (akane and aoi's strained relationship, aoi and junpei meeting, and the kurashikis interacting w the klims also junpei is there). the idea of focusing on akane's trauma was bc i was reading someone's analysis post abt the subject

akane as a character is someone i resonate with a lot but i wont go into that bc thats Personal! and it sucks how canon barely acknowledges her trauma and how she struggles and maybe even comes to terms w it. 999, in essence, is abt the cycle of trauma. its abt akane regaining agency, recreating the environment that traumatized her. which makes sense as to why she acts the way she does in ztd (rlly unstable, panicky, doesnt have a plan despite usually calculating and in control. like she literally got kidnapped Again and isnt around sigma and phi who she initially planned with, why do u expect her to act like she usually does. i wish ppl understood this abt her character). 

so in a post-ztd scenario, where she's supposed to be in a safe environment without planning any nonary games or saving the world, she feels like she's lost control which she feels she desperately needs to stay on top. so she dives herself into work and controls every aspect of herself and her relationships to the point where it makes her physically ill fhdjhfd but i promise theres a lighthearted aspect but i wont cross that bridge till we get there

hey gamers, so i wrote a fic last month where akane and junpei work on a case together but i lost interest in it so heres some excerpts i liked. VERY much a first draft so forgive me for the poor wording

For years, it's been like this. Junpei would follow, and Akane would give chase, a game that lasts a lifetime. But now? They can just be. They can be Jumpy and Kanny.

She retains her poker face. "And if I say no?" "You wouldn't," Junpei stands up, possibly intending to tower over her. "You know, a sentence for kidnapping lasts about twenty years." Akane pushes out of her chair. "Fine, I'll help you. But you're going to need to answer some questions."

In reality, she always found herself indulged in fantasies. Daydreams where she would serve justice on a silver platter, blood as a garnish. It's a perverse sort of pleasure, she knows this. But punitive incarceration is a luxury compared to choking Hongou out.

i wanted the Theme to be how akane keeps chasing after this childhood she never got to have and how she needs to let go bc at this point junpeis moved on. they broke up a while before this fic starts so junpeis starting to process his emotions more while akanes still stuck in the past ..

TBH the best way to flesh out a character (which works for me) is to put them in two interview settings. One where they have to tell the truth no matter what and one where they can say whatever they're comfortable with. One will show their depth and the other will show how they want to be perceived
