WAIT WAIT HANG ON-

Hang. the fuck. on.

Look at this.

Don't mind the poor quality, I literally took a photo of my laptop screen with my phone cuz I needed to post this right now.

This is our camp in Balder's Gate Lower city, do you see what I'm seeing?

They have drying laundry hanging above them.

On Gale's side, look up toward the right corner - we see colorful laundry hanging there to dry, probably some carpet or blankets, those are almost definitely Gale's judging from the aesthetic. Normal, fun detail.

On Astarion's side, there's also things hanging out to dry, except they are rags. Colorless, dirty, disgusting pieces of cloth that might as well have been sitting in a trashpile. They have holes in them, have been torn, damaged beyond a normal person's tolerance for fabric - but Astarion keeps them and washes them like normal laundry....because those rags were probably similar to what he had used for the last 200 years, so he doesn't know any better. What the fuck?

You can't....you can't just silently put details like this, waiting for someone like me to notice it and have my heart shattered all over the floor. I will cry.

FYI, I do know about the visual comparison between the outside of his tent and the inside, it just adds to the sadness I feel for this man even more. Again, Cazador, when I find you, you'll be a dead man walking I swear to the gods-

(Act 3 rambling)

Tell me....tell me why...I went to Sharess' Caress for a quest(iykyk) and was talking to all the people there for some fun dialogue, came accross the drow twins, and was asking about their services.

And they looked behind me, saw Astarion and went 'oh that your lover? Let's 4some' and I went😟

But then Astarion was really uncomfortable and said 'um sorry but I really dont wanna do that again' and I went😨

Ofc I immediately turned down the 4some bc wtf I'm not gonna abuse my baby?? So I told him don't worry I won't push him, and he said 'Ugh don't be so nice to me, it makes me want to...be nice back' and I just😭😭😭😭😭😭🤕🤕🤕

And then we walked into a flophouse, and Astarion went 'oh, this is where I hunted for Cazador...so many of them, they were the kind of people no one would miss' and I☠️☠️☠️☠️☠️☠️

Cazador, when I find you....when I fucking find you......just you wait....I'll make you regret ever fucking touching my man, and I'm gonna shove so much lightning up your ass, just you wait....

「The Pale Bat」- Part 2

❗️Minor BG3 Spoilers Ahead❗️

Lots of dialogue, recommend clicking into the pictures to read clearly!

Summary: The bat is in good care, and Halsin tells Astarion some...interesting things about bats, while Karlach goes into protect mode.

Finally, here is the continuation of The Pale Bat! There will be more updates, but I think once I’m done with this current emotion-heavy beginning(sorry not sorry) it will soon become more of a slice of life type of comic, just little stories of the party and the bat. Got a little carried away at the end there, but I just thought I had to give Astarion’s story some justice, so I did.

Also please forgive me if the bat informations are incorrect, I just pulled them out of thin air, and feel free to throw correct bat-facts at me in the ask-box or just ask about the comic! Hope you enjoy this update, and stay tuned for more ;)

I really really appreciate the support and love, and I’m drawing more bat comic, but just….. sincerely thank you for all the lovely tags and comments and reposts and likes….just thank you. I’ve never experienced this kind of attention before, it’s all a little unreal.

I’m already drawing part 2 because I can’t stop thinking about it, but it might take a bit more time, so just hang in there. Meanwhile as I’m working on it, have a snip bit:

Hey, uh, so it's been like less than 24 hours since this was posted....yall are insane, I love you guys. I thought some people might enjoy this but, clearly I underestimated.

Not to worry, my mentally ill gang who are too invested in a story about a guy and a bat he found on the ground, I will be drawing more because I am also invested! I also may or may not be considering adding this baby bat into my bg3 headcanon for Astarion....maybe, I'm just saying.

I'll think of a name for the tiny flying rat, and I'm working on part 2 of The Pale Bat already, so stay tuned friends ;)

I loved this post so much, I had to make it real, and I hope people might find this entertaining as well. There is no way Astarion would not see himself in a little white bat who desperately needed help. This is set after traveling with my Tav for a while, and Astarion has softened his edges enough to be a bit more gentle.

Thank you for posting this lovely concept, I might continue to draw more of this :)
