Fucking in my feelings

The most peculiar thing about a breakup with someone you thought was the love your life is the roller coaster of emotions. One day, there’s no way to go, but up. You speak to them all the time and a friendship seems to be more than enough. You go about your days, weeks, months, talking to this person and feeling okay for the most part. Then, the roller coaster takes a dip and before you know it, you’re crying. Your see something you don’t want to see, you read a text message from a year ago of them telling you that that when they see you, they can’t stop looking at you. And just like that, all those days, weeks, months mean nothing. You start to “feel” again. You realize that you could only be lying to yourself the past couple of days, weeks, months. Because, tears mean something and you know that yours are not in vain. These days, weeks, months, are the worst. Today, is one of those days for me. I miss you and I’m sorry we can never be proper friends. I guess I always loved you too much to begin with.
