I think it’s pretty easy to have a heavy heart and mixed with fear of uncertainty, anxieties are high all around. What it boils down to is this: Just. Be. Kind. The Golden Rule. ✨✨✨ We met the coolest ex-realtor last night while picking up a piece of furniture from her off of Facebook marketplace. We got to talking (admittedly for a lot longer than we planned 😆) and she was telling us all the parts she hated about being an agent. She said it made her want to smash her phone every time it dinged and she thought she may end up incarcerated if she didn’t make a big life change. 😂🔑 It made us both appreciate each other that much more. He’s not only good at, but ENJOYS, the parts that aren’t my favorite and vice versa. The parts that make me feel like a newb, frustrate me to no end, and stress me out are the parts he gets excited over. The parts he feels clueless about are the parts that come to me naturally and I could handle in my sleep. 🛏 We make a heck of a team, y’all. So lucky to have each other at work and at home. 🗣🗣🗣 Couples who protest together stay together. ✅ A fun story: The first day we met in person was at our last house in Howell. We had FaceTimed for 3 hours every night for a week before we actually met IRL. I already knew he was my person, but when I walked into the house and immediately saw the same exact vegan creamer I used sitting on the kitchen island, I took it as a sign and my feelings were solidified. ☕️ Fast forward 4 years, and our passion for justice has only been amplified. We discovered our voices in the animal activism community and from there began participating in social justice demos. We feel we’ve found our true calling standing up and speaking out for all of those who need us. We absolutely LOVE our jobs, matchmaking, clients, and running our own business, but selling houses is what affords is to do our most meaningful work. We will always speak up for the voiceless. 🤗🤗🤗 The faces you make when your kitchen renovation is mostly done and you’re exhausted but excited to get back to selling and buying houses. 💘 There’s no such thing as a finish line for us. Once we reach a big goal we never thought was possible, we have even bigger dreams lined up to achieve. One of our long term goals was to start flipping our own houses and it’s looking Iike an opportunity to do so could happen a lot sooner than we expected. 🤯 Our business model is constantly evolving. Constantly evaluating. Delegating tasks to who is naturally good at them. And so this new opportunity doesn’t scare us much, but excites us more than anything.
