Found this lovely new addition to the Zanzan universe, such a daring crossover.

First in line for fanart of obscure indie games I enjoyed is Mario Norris from “Heart of Ruin: Final Columbus” by Yal.
The game is Cavestory-esque in gameplay, with some added features such as removing the one thing I hated in Cavestory, the weapon down-leveling in its place just being you having to go out of your way to “metroidvania” and find the weapon upgrades.
There’s also a minor RPG leveling system which can help if things start becoming a bit too hard due to lack of HP or damage output, because at times the amount of stuff happening on screen is ridicollous...
However,  the true fun of Final Columbus, and pretty much all of Yal’s games, I will be real I played most of them, is the fact the game itself is made to be fun and fast to go through, and coupled with some at times, not bad, but bizarre enemy and scenery design it gives this game, and many of Yal’s games a very distinct style that I just adore.

I spent way too long on this, a literal day’s worth of drawing, both worth it and not worth it.
to clarify the joke, As soon as I read that search text I automatically remembered “the backyard” from the Guilty Gear lore, I never played a Guilty Gear to completion...
Still was a fun draw
