asmodeus, demon of lust and prince of hell (asteroid 2174)
asmodeus is my favorite and he knows it - i have a whole unpublished manuscript in his honor (if it ever gets published, i have five companion novels that would follow it). i plan to talk about deities more in the future (especially since week one of posting so one reached out about a deity but they didn’t ever response back) - but if you have interest in deities feel free to push me to talk more earlier. but yes - this is one of the three deities i would you confidently tell people i have a connection with.
so let me tell you asmodeus’s story.
Tumblr media
Pride. Greed. Wrath. Envy. Gluttony. Sloth. Lust. The seven deadly sins. Each sin is tied to a prince of Hell. Seven sins - seven princes. It was said that the prince of wrath was the one that made Asmodeus into a demon. Asmodeus translates from hebrew to english as “the spirit of anger.” This all originates in the book of Tobit - the unseen story of young love. Before lust existed there was something easier - there was love. Asmodeus fell for a young girl - and she played him. Asmodeus was a nobody - love triumphs over all, right? He didn’t think he needed money or status for the two to be together. No. The girl, Sarah, liked him but didn’t like him as much as she wanted a rich husband. When she found a rich man willing to marry her she did so and disregarded Asmodeus. Asmodeus got jealous - was he not enough? The prince of wrath whispered to him and that sparked him into killing this girl’s husband. This happened seven more times before he left for Egypt. Bitter about love, believing it doesn’t exist - Asmodeus began meddling in the lives of couples. Now tainted with Hell’s gifts and curses, he changed his shape to become whatever enticed a person most (this is why he is depicted in biblical art as multi-headed and animalistic - to emphasize that he is a monster). Most important to remember - when you have nothing to lose you start doing whatever you want without caring. Asmodeus found humor in meddling. He went after Solomon’s wives - Solomon being who he was, used his wives to trick Asmodeus into constructing his temple. When Solomon smugly told Asmodeus what he had done, Asmodeus bitterly prophesied the division of Solomon’s land. Solomon demanded to know what he was that could trust such a scandalous prophecy. Asmodeus divulged his parentage then - he is the son of the angel, Raphael, and a human. After this admission the temple was finished and Asmodeus was clever enough to never get involved with a long term project like Solomon and his wives (i believe there were 700). IN MY OPINION Asmodeus represents a) heartbreak that corrupts your soul, b) ignorant beliefs that only do you more harm, c) where you may experience heartbreak that causes your outlook on life to change for the worse, d) where you are adamant about what you believe, e) where you can entice people into doing what you want, and/or f) where you may need to reevaluate logic from your personal opinions and emotions.

*This list is NOT exhaustive. There are simply too many stories which evoke the underworld, the seasons, or any of the gods who rule over either for me to put on one list. In fact, you'd be hard-pressed to find a myth that doesn't eventually get tied back to one or the other. These are the most essential players whose key significance is tied to the chthonic cycles and themes.
Thanks for reading and I hope you found it helpful. I hope to do more quick lists like this, if others are interested, so feel free to let me know which pantheons and domains would most help.

Can you do hatshepsut (2436) astrology and the story of it? Because that asteroid is just so underrated with huge effects when i see people having prominent in it 💗💗💗
Thank you ❤️
hatshepsut, the second female pharaoh (asteroid 2436)
hell yes i will do a post on the second female pharaoh to exist!!! this is my first post on Egyptian mythology/history so i am super hype!
let’s do this. i present to you: hatshepsut.
Tumblr media
Hatshepsut is one of the handful of Egyptian women that were documented pharaohs in ancient history. This is because sons typically succeed their fathers in that era. Her father King Thutmose I died without having any legitimate sons. So Hatshepsut married her half brother Thutmose II so that he could be pharaoh. But then he died too - making her three year old step-son the pharaoh of Egypt :). Hatshepsut ruled in place of this toddler until he was eight when she became his official co-ruler. This is thought to be due to a threat of losing all of Egypt - for the next twenty-two years, they ruled and brought wealth and artistry to their land. She sponsored one of the most successful expeditions from a place called Punt that brought in ebony and gold to Egypt. Hatshepsut oversaw many expansive trades like this one as well as architectural projects - most notably, her burial sight on the Thebes, the Temple of Deir el-Bahri. Hatshepsut had her father reburied in her tomb in efforts to legitimize her reign. Thutmose III, after his step-mother’s death, did all that he could to erase evidence that she ever ruled (including painting in statues where she dressed as a king) - either to empathize a MALE dynasty or to remove all evidence of a strong female leader. She laid there undisturbed until the nineteenth century, when archeologists discovered her sarcophagus was empty just like all the other tombs in the Valley of Kings. But after her death, Egypt doesn’t experience another female ruler for nearly fourteen centuries (Cleopatra). IN MY OPINION Hatshepsut can represent a) where you break through the glass ceiling, b) breaking generational cycles, c) guardianship, d) success in innovative ideas and business deals, e) being underestimated/undervalued/easily dismissed by others, and f) androgynous beauty.
Tumblr media
i encourage you to look into the aspects of hatshepsut along with the sign, degree, and house placement. for the more advanced astrologers, take a look at the persona chart of hatshepsut AND/OR add the other characters involved to see how they support or impede hatshepsut!

Dream. 27Nov2023
Two sisters of a kingdom. Castle. One was changing or masking themselves, but the other wasn’t concerning about it or didn’t really care too much — they didn’t have a close relationship. One was close to the King who wasn’t their actual father, but he took them in. Giantesses were ancient and carried big magick (big as in enormous and hella effective). And there were rumors of a bunch of them…

The fascinating thing about collecting stuff as a hobby is that once you've amassed impressive enough a collection, it develops a certain social gravitation pull and starts accumulating on its own. People who know you encounter something they know might be relevant to your interest and contact you like "hey isn't this the thing you collect? Do you want me to grab it and bring it to you?"
One of my friends has recently gotten into collecting animal bones, and by this time several people have developed an almost-instinctive "oh, she would love this" response to seeing an unsupervised animal carcass. Like people know she's got a bone collection and have the natural instinct to take more bones to it. It has a gravitational pull, drawing more remains into the collection.
Call that animal magnetism.

anubis, god of death (asteroid 1912)
Tumblr media
Anubis is best known as the escort of the deceased and, most recently, he is associated with necromancy. He is depicted with a jackal's head - jackal's are scavengers, they search for anything that is remaining from earlier predators. To understand Anubis's origin we must look at his father, Osiris. Osiris’s brother, Set, was jealous of Osiris for having power over Egypt. Set made his plan to kill him - he planned a party. Set built a chest and said anyone who fits in it perfectly can keep it and (of course) it was Osiris who fit it. When Osiris got in the chest, Set slammed the lid shut - he and his friends took the chest and dumped Osiris into the Nile. When the next day came and Set saw that Osiris’s body had washed up on the shore, he cut Osiris into fourteen pieces and tossed him as far across Egypt as he could. Meanwhile, Nephthys, Set’s wife, was in deep fear because she was having Osiris’s child while Set was building his chest (*gasp* adultery). Afraid of her husband, she, immediately after having the baby, abandoned him in the desert. Her sister, Isis, is a natural caretaker and when she discovered the baby left out to die she took him in and named him Anubis. When Osiris’s body was found, Ra asked young Anubis (because gods come out the womb full grown lol) to help with the embalming of the parts they could find of Osiris. Set attempted to steal Osiris’s “body” many times; each time he was unsuccessful because Anubis was there. For quite some time, Anubis was Isis’s bodyguard. He eventually had a brother he loved and trusted very much named Beta. Beta was a precocious and loyal man - Anubis’s wife attempted to sleep with him and in response he cut off his penis. Anubis’s wife tried to convince Anubis that Beta had tried to rape her - in response to that, Beta threw his severed penis into the Nile. Anubis sided with Beta. Later Beta’s wife betrayed his secret that his heart was connected to a tree. That tree was promptly chopped down leaving Anubis with the body of his beloved brother. Visiting the tree, he found a single berry on it and he took it as a momento - this was Beta’s actual heart (i guess they didnt worry about hungry birds or animals?). Anubis placed the berry in a cup hoping it would sprout so he could replant his brother’s tree when suddenly Beta came back to life. IN MY OPINION Anubis can represent a) how you assist those when death is present, b) where your searching is most rewarded, c) what you will protect at all costs, and/or d) how you can bring those around you back to life.
