Honestly the scene kind of reminds me of an animal marking its territory, rolling around In the bed and all.

Alastor getting in bed with Charlie while there's a big heart pillow in view was so unexpected. Usually visual cues like that indicate something about the character(s) so it had me really confused. Another example of this off the top of my head is Sir Pent & Cherri's heart shaped holes in the wall.

Great story premise actually. RIP Alastor losing his soul later down the line.

With my summoning AU, I know about the other one. I'm actually quite a fan about that one which is why I wanted to make my own. And also give it a little bit of a different motivation. Charlie here summons Alastor on purpose to help her with her rehab clinic after no one want to help her on earth. (So why not contract demon work lol) and Alastor is offended that he was summoned for that. But then Charlie makes a deal that he can't possibly refuse. Especially for such a pure soul like Charlie's.

But now, his soul is on the line.

As an author you spend soooo much time working and often, you get like nothing for your efforts. It can be pretty demoralizing.

The stories are free we're just asking for a little bit of time and effort from the readers.

AO3 Comments are SO SO SOOOOOOO important because you can only leave Kudos ONCE. You add to the hit count ONCE (every 24 hours).

So whenever someone updates their fic, the ONLY way an author knows who their regular readers are is if they comment on each chapter. And we WANT to know who's still reading.

Believe it or not, some of us think about the name that pops up constantly in the comments and go "omg I can't wait to see what they think of THIS SPECIFIC SCENE cuz I KNOW they'll say something about it!!!"
