I made a flyer for a Seattle rock show, and I hope you like it. I drew the banana character at a meetup for artists in my neighborhood, which was really enjoyable. Then I colored it and configured the text at home. I think it turned out fine, but my son says the arms are too low.

I'm half-assing @knusperlaf's Fan Art February Faves art challenge on Instagram!

The prompt for February 2 was "hero". This is Mike Baron's "Badger", my favorite comic book hero in high school. Drawn without reference, so I think I messed up his logo! I used to be able to draw it without even thinking. I once Sharpied it on a tank top. Those were different times. I wouldn't even own a tank top today!

My son has been a big My Singing Monsters fan for years. He's endlessly fascinated by the creatures, the lore, the taxonomic systems, the whole thing. A couple weeks ago he made this random OC generator to come up with new MSM creatures, and we both tried it out.

Slide 1: My monster, a crystalline triangle. I didn't name it. Maybe "Trigor" or something.

Slide 2: My kid's monster, an insectoid thing with a musical snout. It's called "Shoohorn."

Slide 3: The random generation chart! You roll D&D style dice to get your traits.

I drew a Skeletor.

Even though I was exactly the right age to be He-Man's most-targeted market, I never caught He-Mania, and I'm fairly sure this is the first Skeletor I've ever drawn.

It was pretty fun; I'd do it again.
