There was an almighty crash of cymbals and Derek whipped his head over to the stage to see Drummer-boy launching into a pretty impressive drum solo. Since Derek had last looked, he’d removed his t-shirt. Derek found himself unable to look away from the pale expanse of his slightly-muscled torso, his eyes raking up and down the guy’s arms, and despite the speed of his movements, Derek could see that he had even more tattoos gracing his upper arms and shoulders. They all seemed to ripple and shift as he moved, as if they were alive..

Or, the one where Derek lives in San Francisco and owns a shifter-friendly bar is pretty happy with his life aside from the way his family is putting pressure on him to find a mate, as well as an emissary to help strengthen his claim on his territory. Stiles is a mage in a college band playing at Derek’s bar, and proceeds to take an interest in Derek. Can Derek convince himself that it’ll just be one night of harmless fun? Or does Stiles have the potential to bury himself just a little too deep under Derek’s skin?

last movie: Oh wow I'm not sure. I don't really watch movies much these days...I started watching the Snowpiercer film recently so that I could watch the series, but I turned it off I because I just wasn't in the right headspace for it at the time.

currently reading: I'm currently re-reading Tamora Pierce's Alanna series. A favorite from my childhood, and there is a follow-up series that I never read! I just finished the first book in the original series and was so happy with how it's held up and the things I'm picking up on now as an adult reader.

currently watching: Criminal minds. I'm now almost done with season 13 and really vibing with it again. I'll be sad when I have finally finished all 15 season ahhh

currently consuming: uhhh nothing right now but I was going to make some oatmeal soon?

currently craving: a nap

“Do you trust me?” Derek asked. “Now?”

His hands were soft, delicate as he skated his fingertips over Stiles’ shoulders, over the swell of his collarbone until his thumbs met in the hollow of Stiles’ throat. They pressed there ever so slightly, and Stiles felt his breath hitch, getting stuck in his throat. He swallowed.

“It was never that I didn’t trust you,” Stiles admitted, tipping his head back so that the column of his throat was long and inviting, so he could feel that extra pressure on his Adam’s apple. “I didn’t trust myself.”

“It’s okay, Stiles,” Derek said, pulling back slightly so he could stroke down Stiles’ arms, prompting him to lift them over his head—a physical symbol of submission. “I want you to let go. Can you do that for me?”

Stiles let out a breath, nodded. Because he wanted it, needed it.

This time, he was ready.

Or, Stiles is struggling to cope with the aftermath of the Nogitsune’s possession, and Derek is feeling hopeless without a pack. Turns out they might just be what each other needs.

Summary: “Wake up,” Stiles says, and places a kiss behind Derek’s ear. “My birthday is over, and Halloween season has officially begun. I’ve booked the pumpkin patch for eleven.”

Derek’s happy, barely-awake rumbles abruptly stop, his body stiffening. He rolls over slowly, then blinks at Stiles, his eyes crusty with sleep. “What.”

“Pumpkins, Derek,” Stiles says. “We need to get there early or all the good ones will be gone. This house is huge, so we’re probably going to need at least twenty to sufficiently decorate—”

“Whoa, whoa, whoa,” Derek says, sitting up in bed suddenly, a look of abject horror on his face. “Who said anything about pumpkins, or decorating?”

“Uh, me,” Stiles tells him, rolling his eyes. “There’s only two weeks until Halloween. I want this place to look like Satan’s grotto by the time we’re done with it. Realistically, how many pumpkins do you think you can carve in an afternoon. Eight? Ten?”
