This is a redraw of a Cody in the 2008 Jedi Alliance game, as seen in the last gif of this set. I don't normally think of Cody as acting quite this visibly chipper, but the pose is just so cute, I had to~
Flat color version because I like it under the cut, plus a silly photo of a buddy who kept me company while I was finishing this:

My friend's comment about the second one: "It's a Clone Commeownder!"

I have a silly headcanon that the Wolfpack does a thing where every time one of them enters 79’s, they howl, and any other 104th members present in the club howl back. Other battalions find this varying levels of amusing or obnoxious but nobody else (not that many actually try) can howl and get a response—except for the 501st's Echo, who figures out that there’s a trick to it.
Addendum to this is that 104th shinies are encouraged to come up with their own personal howls as part of bonding with the battalion.
Second addendum to this is that howling has also been used as both a rallying cry and an intimidation tactic in battle.

Hi Patchy!! A little late to the wip game, but if you're still doing it, could I hear a bit about Home? :D
Certainly! :3
Surprise surprise, it's another SW fic featuring Cody and Obi-Wan! This one's meant to be introspective, dealing with the concept of home and how it applies to the clones and the Jedi. Basically, Cody wonders a bit about the Jedi Temple, Obi-Wan gives him a proper tour, and they have a discussion over tea afterward. I've only got a little less than a page written, but I'll share it under the cut~
There’s nothing particularly special about today’s war meeting; Cody’s been in the Jedi Temple communications room for a few such meetings with little thought about it. Today, however, he finds himself surveying the room itself after the meeting concludes. Its general structure reminds him of an academic amphitheater that Ghost Company had nearly gotten trapped in a few weeks ago. “Something on your mind, Cody?” The room’s other occupants filter out, and Cody turns his head at General Kenobi’s inquiry. “What was this room used for before the war, sir?” he asks. The General puts a hand to his chin in thought. “Mission briefings for large groups are usually held in here. So were many lectures, as the communications technology allows Jedi to attend classes even while afield—much to the chagrin of padawans who would rather leave coursework behind. Few lessons take place here these days, though; it’s easier to simply record a lecture rather than try to coordinate a live one for those outside the Temple.” “I see.” “Any particular reason you ask?” Cody shrugs. “Curiosity, I suppose. The Jedi weren’t built for warfare, so it stands to reason that this room usually served a different purpose.” Kenobi blinks. “Are this room and the hangar all you’ve seen of the Temple?” “Walked through the front lobby and down some nice hallways to get here,” Cody replies, just to be cheeky. Less cheekily he adds, “The approach to the entrance is always quite a sight.” “But you’ve hardly seen anything. If you’ve no plans this afternoon and feel so inclined, I’d be delighted to show you around,” the General offers. The rest of the Temple is off-limits to the public, and even in most public spaces there are places where clones aren’t exactly welcome. A personal tour from the General—refusal would be rude, and only an idiot would pass up the opportunity. “I’d be honored, sir.”

Hi! For the WIP List Game: Dragon Jedi AU?? I am intrigued
Hehe, that one is inspired by @bubblew0lf1's Dragon!Jedi AU! I adore all of their dragon designs, especially Obi-Wan's, and it got me thinking about a sort of fantasy AU where the Jedi are shape-shifting dragons. I'm not sure it's something that'll ever become a finished thing, but it's been fun to think about.
Rambling and a snippet below the cut :P
This AU's setting would condense most of the notable SW planets into continents/countries/cities on one planet; there wouldn't be any space travel, though technology would probably be better than in a medieval fantasy setting. Dragons are rare and I'm thinking the knowledge of their intelligence and that they can also be people is not well-known (either a closely guarded secret or actively suppressed)--and they're also being actively hunted by the Republic/Empire under the justification that dragons are extremely dangerous (this is Palpatine's fault, and he has far more nefarious reasons for hunting them down). I haven't worked out all the worldbuilding details, but I think the Jedi are a subset of dragons who serve as guardians where they can; recently, though, they've been forced to hide due to being hunted.
In this world, Cody and Rex are wardens (possibly heading up a small group of rangers) of a large woody/mountainous area bordering a very rural town far from the center of the Republic; the land was claimed and the town founded by the Mereel-Fett family after unrest in Mandalore forced Jaster Mereel (Jango Fett's adoptive father, Cody and Rex's grandfather) and his clan to leave. Mandalorians have a complicated history with dragons, but Jaster liked to tell stories about Tarre Vizla, a Mandalorian leader long ago who either was close friends with a dragon or was a dragon himself; details passed down through the centuries seem unclear. Jango's never been that interested in the tales, but Rex and especially Cody enjoyed them growing up.
Obi-Wan, Anakin, and Ahsoka moved to the town together pretty recently; I think Obi-Wan runs a bookshop (or maybe a small library? A fusion of the two?), while Anakin works as a mechanic who's teaching Ahsoka the trade as well. Cody likes to read and chats with Obi-Wan when he stops by for books, while Rex brings the rangers' equipment to Anakin and Ahsoka for professional servicing (Rex tinkers a bit himself, but Anakin's a wizard) and they become fast friends. Of course, the friendly neighborhood bookkeeper and mechanics don't tell anyone that they're also dragons, including the Fetts, but Cody and Rex find out the truth eventually.
The only thing I actually started writing for this beyond notes is a scene just after Obi-Wan (in dragon form) fights Grievous (also a dragon but not a Jedi) somewhere deep in the Fetts' protected area. Cody had been doing a sweep/patrol at the time and witnessed at least part of the fight, and he goes to investigate the aftermath.
Warning that it's more gruesome than I usually go, what with blood and a dead dragon. This is just also the most snippable portion of what little I have, I think.
There is a deafening thud, and then— Silence. Cody slowly approaches the edge of the ravine and looks down. A hulking white shape lies still at the base of the rocky slope, red pooling under its gash-ridden body. It’s hard to tell from a distance what precisely killed it, but the lack of motion and abundance of blood suggest that either it’s dead or will be soon. Partially obscured, a smaller brown shape lies behind the great white beast, closer to the river; it seems similarly bloodied and still. Cody feels a pang of sorrow—that one had saved his life, whether intentionally or not. …Better make sure they’re dead, lest any survivors roam too close to town. Cody picks his way carefully down the side of the ravine, shifting between stepping and climbing as needed. When he’s made it to the bottom, he draws his rifle and approaches the white dragon. There is no movement between its sharply defined ribs, and up close Cody can see where the base of its throat has been torn open by—well, horns or claws, most likely. He follows the long neck up to the head, where dull yellow eyes stare sightlessly out from behind a gaping maw. Cody prods its nose lightly with the tip of his rifle. No response. Tempting as it still is to put a bolt in its skull, he’s hunted enough himself to know what death looks like. There’s no need. He steps around the body of the beast toward the visible back of the brown one. One of its wings lies bent at an unnatural angle behind it, and— It’s breathing, quick and labored. Not moving otherwise, but still alive, at least for now.
(Once he works out he's not going to get mauled to death for trying to help, Cody puts his wilderness first-aid skills to use. He still doesn't learn that it's Obi-Wan for a while, though.)

hellooo! 👋
i hope it as okay to tag you in the WIP game!!! 😅😅 you have so many cool projects underway!!
I would love to hear more about your Defiance series! Side stories and spin offs?! What a world you must be creating! 🤩
thanks and have a lovely day !!☀️
Certainly! :D I don't always respond to tag games, but I do always appreciate being tagged in them. This one especially makes for a nice excuse to ramble about projects, and I'm delighted to talk about Defiance~
I'm pretty sure Defiance (the main fic) is the second fanfiction I've ever worked on in earnest and also my first and only longfic (not counting some sort of journal thing for Pokemon X I think I started many years ago, as I quickly lost interest in that project; otherwise, I hadn't really tried my hand at writing fic until 2020, despite reading it for much longer). Back in early 2021, with far too much time on my hands and having recently finished binge-watching all of The Clone Wars TV show, I felt very strongly that Fives needed to live and everyone deserved a happier ending, so I started planning a fix-it (actually the idea may have begun cooking back even before I finished the show, but February 2021 is apparently when I created the first doc).
It, uh, spiraled a little.
The planning/notes document is currently sitting at 102 pages (~46k words) of loose outline, worldbuilding notes, character notes, media notes, etc. The fic document itself is at 127 pages (~49k words) of stuff ranging from rough outline to fully written chapters and outtakes. There is also a Sheets file with timelines so I can track who is where, and when. The Sidestories doc is for ideas that would probably take place during Defiance but not be part of the more central plot, like bonus side chapters, and the Spin-offs doc is for other fic ideas that would take place in the same universe—some of which have graduated to their own documents. Though I've not been making consistent progress in the actual writing and have a very long way to go, I am lost in this sauce.
Anyway, the general plot of Defiance is as follows: unbeknownst to Palpatine and the general public, a timely intervention saves Fives' life. This allows him to actually explain himself to the Jedi, who along with the clones investigate the chips further and work behind the scenes to prevent Order 66 from happening while trying to figure out how to take down who's behind it. Critically, despite their suspicions they do not have hard evidence of Palpatine's involvement, so most events parallel canon up through ROTS with the investigation/preparation taking place discreetly, until the train hops off the rails to avoid sailing off the cliff.
If you'd like a sneak peak snippet, here's the first page or so of the main fic below the cut!
Something is wrong. The Force is muddled with a constant and indistinct unease, as it has been for years now—moreso on Coruscant than anywhere else, to Shaak Ti's perceptions. Its warnings are difficult to discern with any specificity. Even so, it murmurs them now. And Shaak possesses her own instincts, enhanced by the Force but extant outside her connection to it; these, too, whisper to her that something is wrong, as she watches Knight Skywalker leave the Jedi Temple conference room to find Captain Rex and investigate the situation with Fives. They are the best fit to track him down and the most likely to confront the rogue clone without further violence. Shaak warned Skywalker that Fives has been acting differently without his chip, that he may not be the man they knew—though she herself is reluctant to believe it—and the Knight and Captain are plenty capable of handling themselves. They will be all right. Still, something is wrong in a way she cannot yet define, and so Shaak Ti decides to join the hunt. Since the Jedi have not been asked to search for Fives, she does not contact the Coruscant Guard when she leaves the Temple. Instead she steps out of the building, pulls up the hood of her cloak, and makes for one of the speeder bikes kept at the Temple for general use. It whirs to life under her hands, and she rides to the nearest transportation portal leading down into the undercity. As she descends, passing speeders of all makes and sizes, Shaak Ti considers what she knows. She is well aware of her own struggles in becoming emotionally attached to the clones; her role on Kamino requires her to balance her care for them as people with the need to defend the galaxy. But many of them, such as Domino Squad, inevitably leave an impression. She watched Echo and Fives grow from bickering cadets to determined protectors, some of the best of their brothers. Her belief in their character during their final tests had not been misplaced. And yet, over these past few days Fives repeatedly defied the Kaminoan doctors, removed his chip, claimed something about a conspiracy, then attacked the Chancellor and fled. Shaak cannot deny these facts, and she must not allow personal feelings to cloud the truth. Then there are the Kaminoans. Shaak clashes frequently with their attitudes toward the clones, the way they view them as products rather than sentients. Nala Se’s arguments for terminating Tup and assurance that the chips are not a problem fall in line with her position as a manufacturer. And Shaak is well aware that the Kaminoans have not shared all of their secrets with her, as she is not owed them. But the medical scientist's resistance had been… spirited. None of this paints a clear picture. As they concluded in the meeting back at the Temple, the Jedi need more information. The familiar sound of a military engine hums past, and Shaak turns her head to watch a pair of gunships heading down the portal through one of the military lanes. She swerves out of the civilian traffic and dives after them, further and further below the surface of the city.

WIP List Game
Thanks to @cocotter for the tag! :D
Rules: In a new post, post the names of all the files in your WIP folder, regardless of how non-descriptive or ridiculous. Let people send you an ask with the title that most intrigues them, and then post a little snippet of it or tell them something about it!
Technically I don't have a designated WIPs folder, just a general fics (and other associated docs) folder with a subfolder for one specific 'verse, but that's not really important. I'm not gonna go through every file in there, but here's most of my fic WIPs! I'm not counting art WIPs for this Cx
Writing WIP List:
Bastion
Defiance Fic
Defiance Sidestories
Defiance Spin-offs
Conversations Never Overheard in an Undisclosed Command Office
Dragon Jedi AU
Home
Kamino Days
Kirby Oneshots
Misc. Cody & Obi-Wan Fics
Rules and Regulations
The Care and Keeping of a Padawan Commander
Time-Travel Outsider POV
Waxer's Umbaran Adventures
Some of these don't have anything more than bullet points in them, and others contain multiple fic ideas in one file. But hey, ask away if you're curious!
No Pressure Tags: @squirrelwriter @good-beanswrites @jaggedstartalk @yellowocaballero and uhhh anyone else who wants to play!

POV: You've made a big mistake.
(Context and base sketch under the cut~)
So I was playing DnD last night with some friends, and our current situation is that we (four Level 8 adventurers) were trying to track down a murderer and ended up tumbling down a slide into a storeroom at an underground black market. Instead of doing the smart thing and retreating to investigate later with better preparation and maybe even an iota of information about what was going on, one of us tried to snoop around in plain sight. He actually did pretty okay for a while, but he ended up getting caught by the guards of whatever mysterious organization is running this black market; the rest of us came out to fight, and so did the apparent big boss of the market, some dragonborn fellow who was very clearly in charge.
This Big Bad Dragonborn promptly brainwashed me, the party druid, into turning into a giant elk and attacking an ally. Charging into a ramming attack, I crit and took out over half my friend's health, and said friend was then put to sleep by an enemy sorcerer. Down two party members (one of whom had become an active threat) and with our cleric put on the ground by a guard, our business-minded sorcerer tried to negotiate a surrender. Big Bad Dragonborn accepted and had my druid de-wild shape before returning to his side, presumably to be tied up and taken prisoner with the rest.
Our cleric, however, was intent on freeing me from the mind control. An earlier Dispel Magic had not worked, but this second one did, and my little gnome druid came back to her senses right next to the Big Bad Dragonborn who'd brainwashed her into hurting her friend. Pissed about this but lacking a high enough ceiling to bring down lightning, I decided to blast this guy with a Moonbeam.
I love Moonbeam! Great spell, can be cast at higher levels and sticks around with concentration to keep doing damage on additional turns. It also has the handy side effect of potentially revealing shape-shifted creatures, should they fail the save for it (and shapechangers have disadvantage).
The Big Bad Dragonborn failed the save.
...Needless to say, the Big Bad Dragon was extremely displeased with being revealed. Our party is now all unconscious (save for our sorcerer, who wisely followed through on surrendering). I am, not for the first time, very grateful that we have a merciful DM who makes villains* that will take us prisoner rather than killing us immediately.
*Technically speaking, we don't even know how villainous this guy is, aside from apparently running a black market. The vibes are bad but we really have no information. We just came in and started causing problems.
Anyway, inspired by both the entertaining trainwreck of a session and a very cool artbook of dragons my sister gave me for Christmas, I decided to sketch what I imagined the reveal moment to look like, shortly before my druid took a face full of noxious gas that put her to sleep :P

Oogh Rex your work is admirable but you gotta take care of yourself too, buddy.
Thanks for sharing the snippet!
For the the writing game, how about Rex, 92?
Hope you’re doing well!
At headquarters, which is just the living room of Rex's pre-fab tiny house on the edge of Saleucami farmland, Lawquane's civvie volunteer friend blurts out a question in the middle of morning rush.
"Do you want a moment to rest?"
The question catches Rex so offguard he doesn't know what to say. One moment, his head is wrapped up in logsitics, numbers, relocation routes, accommodations, who he needs to call next, who he needs to pay, how much money he needs, et cetera. Rex hasn't had a moment for himself since the war abruptly ended, and he threw himself into the rehabilitation program for the Spaarti clones that osik'la Palpatine had commissioned. Those poor kids were sitting around in vats waiting for their time to hold their weapons and shoot. There wasn't much going up there, because they weren't made to think critically, but they were vod'e. At the very least, he could help a brother.
So no, he doesn't want a moment to rest. He can't, anyway.
Not that he knows what rest means, anyway.
Rex settles with an: "I'm fine," and reassures the volunteer with a pat to the shoulder. "Get to docking bay seventy-four and help Royal Squad unload the new arrivals and get them on their way to their host's place. You know what to do."
He minimizes a datapad window then slips the device in his cargo shorts pockets. He follows the volunteer out the door as he punches in the comm code for Vaughn's unit on the other side, coordinating passage from Centax-IV. There's so much to do. He doesn't have time to think about anything else, and frankly, he likes it that way.
