I always did enjoy Nuzlockes. While I'm naturally the type to be attached to most of my Pokémon in a normal playthrough, Nuzlockes take them to a different level.

Due to popular demand, I'm going to break down the styles of Inazuma Eleven characters and review them. What? Nobody asked for that? Well, too bad. I already have it here.
We start with Hokkaido's Blizzard Wizard, Fubuki Shirou (or Shirō if you like macrons). The OG version, by the way. I need another rewatch for all the Ares/Orion folk and I don't think I can sit through those shows again.
Disclaimer. I might discuss the games in these reviews but most likely not. Since the games are not very good representations, I feel. Also, feel free to correct me on anything.
Tumblr media
So, when Shirou was introduced, he was shown to immediately have a powerful kick. Strong enough to clear off snow in a snow field. He also apparently did a lot of training out there, honing his lungs and temperature tolerance. From his introduction, we can conclude two things—he has a strong kick and probably good stamina. He would go on to train harder than the rest and even barraged Desarm.
When we first saw him play for Hakuren, he had taken up a defensive post. It baffled Raimon, since they were looking for a striker in the mould of Gouenji. Very quickly, he showcases incredible physical strength. Dragon Crash, which generally seems like a full-force power-oriented Kick, was stopped easily.
Whenever he charges as Atsuya, that strength was also highlighted. He was able to fend off multiple opponents and take tackles. His balance was definitely something, he did not fall over very easily.
His speed is also of note, and he surpassed Kazemaru during his first appearance. Kazemaru was the fastest of the gang in terms of raw speed but he was outclassed. Fubuki would trail behind the windy one-eye later on but still stays as one of the fastest players.
Overall, Fubuki has good strength and speed, as well as a thumping kick and a workhorse's stamina. He is short and does not have a good record of winning aerial duels, though. He also happens to not be fond of crossing but that might be because crosses in Inazuma Eleven only work when you have Gouenji.
Fubuki supposedly plays as a forward and a defender. But what exactly is his playstyle?
As a defender, Fubuki has shown good positioning. I do not remember him being hard on the tackle but I assume with his strength, he should. With his dribbling, he can bring the ball out of the defense line and charge up the field. Because of this, I believe he would work as a Full Back, with license to drive up the field. Maybe even get him to Invert, since he is not too fond of crosses. Whatever the case, his dribbling and tackling makes him a good option for the sides. Do not put him in the centre, long balls would fly over him and Fubuki dribbling out of Centreback might be a positional problem.
As a forward, Fubuki could use his strength and speed to bring the ball past the defence. If the offside rule was used more often in Inazuma Eleven, he would be the perfect choice to counter it. A one-two with Gouenji could see him get past the line easily. And his strength would also allow him to keep the ball to pass for a teammate. Fubuki is physically exceptional, even if he doesn't look like it.
I think that he could play as an Inside Forward, starting from the wings and breaking in from the side. That is the best use of his sudden bursts of speed and dribbling ability. It would give him license to protect the side if need be, by just telling him to play with less aggression.
Personally, I find him to be a good example of an all-around player. He can even do midfield, in various positions. Defensive, Central, Side. His only lacking trait is that he is not a particularly skillful passer or crosser (That I know of) and that counts against him. I don't think of him as a very technical player even if he does have some fancy dribble moves. A fantastic Utility player but I'd personally put him on the left side of a front three or as an attacking Wing Back.

Dark matter is honestly one of those topics in Physics that still makes me believe there are avenues to explore. The world today seems like it has encompassed everything, that we know nearly everything. But there are still so many ideas that can surprise and knock the wind out of you.
Like Vtubers. No idea how it didn't blow up back in Kizuna Ai's day. Anime girl streamers was literally a genius idea. And now here it is, it took an increase in gamers and a computer program idol (Hatsune Miku).

Ask Ethan: Could Gravitons Solve The Mystery Of Dark Matter?
“Why couldn’t dark matter be gravitons? Gravitons are undefined as is dark matter. We know dark matter has gravity. Why couldn’t it made of the mythical graviton particles?”
I don’t know about mythical, but if you want anything to be responsible for dark matter, there are only four things it has to do: be massive, be cold, be collisionless, and to not exceed the observational limits on self-interaction. (Well, it has to exist in great enough abundances to make up the dark matter density we observe, too.)
Gravitons are supposed to be massless, and the ones that we know are created will have tremendously large energies compared to the maximum rest mass that gravitons are allowed to have. But that doesn’t mean the deal is broken; it’s eminently possible to have gravitons be the dark matter we need.
The question isn’t “why can’t dark matter be gravitons,” but rather, “what would need to be true for dark matter to be made of gravitons?” And that has a fascinating answer.

Pokémon was a franchise I grew up with and was around for nearly every big step in life I took (in one way or another). I will always have a soft spot for it, even if I can't get newer games and they refuse to make a PokéSpe anime.
Please make a PokéSpe anime. I beg of ye, Pokémon Company.

Avengers Earth's Mightiest Heroes (Henceforth referred to as AEMH) , a wonderful TV series.
Tumblr media
The DCAU might be the pinnacle of comicbook TV shows in my opinion but AEMH will always be one of my favourite superhero shows. The art style could put off some but it honestly did look like comics of the 90's and so it was not as jarring to me. But there was no shortage of good action scenes and it strangely fit some of the characters much more. Thor looked much more like a Norse God and Captain America seemed much more larger-than-life which is what you'd feel if you were right in the presence of them.
The voice actors were well-chosen and their characters were also well-done. Seeing their interactions with Hulk and how they vouched for him was nice. And seeing the trust in the team shattered from Secret Wars, too. They adapted many good story arcs from the comics, even showcasing other heroes aside from the main cast (Carol Danvers before and after becoming Miss Marvel, Spiderman, Luke Cage and Iron Fist, even Wolverine).
The soundtrack was killer, too. The intro song is burned into my memory, as well as the narration of Nick Fury and many of the scenes. It is up there with the Spectacular Spiderman theme and JLU theme in twrms of memorability.

So, about God Catch.
By the way, I apologise for rough Romaji. I usually go for Modified Hepburn but macrons look overdone and unnecessary for something like a Tumblr essay on a superpower football anime. So if your pet peeve is awful Romaji, I apologise in advance.
Tumblr media
Don't get me wrong, I do like God Catch for what it is. It has a 'Mamoru' vibe unlike Ikari no Tettsui, Ijigen the Hand, or Seigi no Tekken. What I mean is that his posture during the move feels more protective, more natural for someone who spends every day stopping a tire. Aside from that, the tiny features that symbolise his connections to his best friends (Gouenji's hair and Kidou's cape).
I have an issue with how he got it and what it represents. The FFI, for both Tachimukai and Endou, had a theme of "finding what is theirs". Endou literally gets told off by Daisuke, who challenged him to find a hissatsu of his own. For most of the series, hissatsus were sort of reflections of the user's psyche. Endou, who owes the entirety of his football to his grandpa, up to that point only had hissatsus that were more or less of the same kind (Except Nekketsu and Bakuratsu Punch).
Endou did achieve it. And Tachimukai too, who managed to pull off Maou the Hand. The thing is, Endou just rolls back to getting a hissatsu bases on his grandpa's advice. Althought the show explains that it was just a random bunch of noises and Endou formulated it by himself, it still just came off as him interpreting his grandpa's words. He was so fixated on what his grandpa said, believing they were the key to the strongest Keeper Hissatsu.
I didn't like Orion much but I appreciated how Endou got the Diamond Hissatsus. It made sense to him, he was someone who always seemed unbreakable for the most part. And at the same time, it gave him variety beyond a Majin or a God Hand in a different shape.
God Hand V, which comes from perfecting the God Hand beyond the original, is a perfect homage though. It would have been nice if Endou did develop his own Hissatsus (finding his own football) but he didn't forget to improve the God Hand, which is his root.
Anyway, that's all. Not really a big annoyance, just thought it would have been interesting to see what Endou would come up with. His football at that point wasn't just hia grandpa.

Farewell, My Dear Cramer finally got an anime.
Tumblr media
I'm a fan of football, so naturally I was drawn to the manga because it promised football and I am an absolute sucker for football technicals (Hence I don't enjoy Blue Lock as much as I do, say, Ao Ashi) . At some point, it delivers. We have discussions on qualities for each position, counterattack vs possession ideologies, and even the introduction of a positionally fluid Inverted Full Back that plays like a Guardiola Full Back.
But what truly hooked me where the characters.
Non-chan is a prodigy, who believed that the world of women's soccer was below her, until the characters prove to her that there is merit. Suo always felt alone while playing because her ambitions and drive to win were too much for others to handle. Tase, like her, has an ambition beyond just playing. Dot Brows realised Suo's potential and is driven to bring the best out of her and all their teammates.
Even the enemies had their own fulfilling character backgrounds. We have a slinky otaku who is alienated due to her strange appearance but enjoys football. A physical player who wants to prove that she isn't useless due to her lack of technique. Then there's even a Captain who also served as the Coach of her team, turning a bunch of ragtags into a team able to challenge the best.
That positionally fluid Wing Back? Her sister used to be the most amazing footballer until an injury happened—over the match, the sister watches in envy because she traines her younger sister. It was her way of getting closure; she wantes the little sister to succeed and kill any hope inside of her. She wanted to lose all hope, so she wouldn't be in a state of painful longing anymore.
Even the coaches have good work put into them. The Head Coach used to be the star of Nadeshiko Japan and she wants to bring it back to those heights when it was in her time. But she is not particularly good. On the other hand, her assistant Eye Bags, was an average player. Despite this, he has the footballing mind of a genius. He's only held back by a lack of motivation and so many years of disappointment.
Anyway, I hope that the anime will be as good as the manga. So far, the choices are pretty faithful and they don't lose the essence of what made the manga great.

Hal Jordan. As a Green Lantern, was one of the founding members of the Justice League, a true heir to Abin Sur. As Parallax, a villain who had nearly wrecked reality.
Tumblr media
Seeing Hal pass a GL ring and mentioning how he of all people should know forgiveness is a heartwarming experience. Unlike most of the Founding Seven, who are usually good, Hal Jordan in the main continuity had become a proper villain. To see him connect with Sinestro over reformation shows how far he's gone.
Sinestro himself used to be a Green Lantern. His force of will earned him respect, even if he went too far at times. Just like Hal as Parallax, Sinestro is constantly filled with Yellow Fear energy.
I do like how Death Metal made these two reconcile.

My firsr post in tumblr, might as well make ir about something good.
Tumblr media
Ao Ashi. I like manga and I like football. Put them together and you get football manga, like Ao Ashi here. While Captain Tsubasa and Inazuma Eleven seem to be the most famous ones, I find Ao Ashi to be superior in many aspects.
I like seeing football players do awesome kicks and shoot fireballs into the goal. The little child in me still gets excited when I see Fubuki's Eternal Blizzard.
But football has more nuance than just that. It isn't just about increasing the power of your shots. There's a lot of practise, teamwork, and tactics involved. Which is why I find manga like Ao Ashi, Days, Farewell My Dear Cramer, and Ao ni Nare to be superior to the flashier football manga (Though I must admit, Inazuma Eleven anime is better than the manga, but it still falls into a similar problem) . There's a beauty in the theory of the game and seeing the characters actually have to think and struggle instead of just solve it with a stronger super move.
