Gentle. Benny was going to have to be gentle until Dean was all healed up again. He sighed and weasled his way onto the bed so he could pull Dean against his chest gently, carefully. He kissed his head gently and sighed again, "'m nawt so pissed anymoar. Werried mostly. 'll be pissed lahtah I thin'.... Yew werry me sick, Dean Winchestah...." Benny shook his head and kissed the top of Dean's head gently.
Hospitals had changed a lot. They were more comfortable now. That didn't mean that Benny liked being in them but it meant that he wasn't as uncomfortable as he had been in the past. He kissed Dean's head again and stroked his arm thoughtfully, "'m a vampiyah yew know. Could be useful fer... Hun's liak tha'. I dunno why the hell yew didn' ask me fer help... Tha's a whole nes'...." At least he wasn't bleeding now. Benny could already feel the anger sneaking in. Dean could have died.
Benny would be alone. Again. Forever. He'd done it once, but it had been easier in Purgatory. Benny didn't think he could do it again. Not when... He swallowed hard. This was what he had now. Just this. Until he died. Benny knew he could prevent that but the idea that he could-- What he could do to 'save' him would completely destroy him. Both of them. Benny was a much different person than he was before he was turned. Perhaps it was the years and years and years on the Earth but Benny didn't want to change Dean into the monsters that he hunted, into the monster that he was. It was a fate he hoped no one else would ever be resigned too.
|| hunt gone wrong ||
Dean was glad to see Benny. He was glad he hadn’t actually died, no matter how accepting of it he would’ve been. Dean smiled faintly as Benny pulled Dean in for a hug. “Don’t squeeze too hard papa bear. I’m still fragile.” Dean muttered with a low chuckle.
"Oh come on. I joke to lighten the situation baby." Dean remarked playfully. "How mad are you that I went off on my own to hunt vampires?" Dean questioned his partner.
Dean took the cup of water and gulped it down in one sip. “I love you Benny.” Dean mumbled. “Come here.”

Benny left it at that. There was no point in pushing it. Dean didn't want to talk about it. Dean probably didn't even really know precisely why Sam didn't like him. That was okay too. As far as Benny was concerned, he had no problems with Sam, but Sam could have a problem with him. He understood. Dean was Dean. And he and Sam were near inseparable. That was okay. If Benny had anyone other than Dean he'd be the same way. He offered a smile and waved it off all the same, focusing on the thing at hand.
    Shifters.
He'd seen one or two in Purgatory, and from what he saw, he didn't like them. He did nod thought and answer Dean's question, "Tangoed wit' i' once. Weren't all tha' fun tah be hones'. Don' liak shifta's much. They smell. Nevah actually tewk one down. Though' yew miagh' be able tah help..." And Benny was in town and he like hanging out with Dean. But he kept that to himself. Probably best not to trouble Dean with the sheer amount of loneliness that is acquired when one is a vampire that doesn't really follow the rules of being a vampire anyway.
That was silly and Dean didn't need a sob story. Benny sunk his hands deep in his pockets and nudged Dean's shoulder playfully. "Shuld be a doozy wit' yew helpin' ou' riagh'?"
{Here We Go} Benny & Dean
It was hard for Dean to explain just why Sam didn’t like his friend. For starters there was the fact that the eldest Winchester had killed Amy — a kitsune that would surely have killed again. He felt a strong guilt over it and how it had upset his brother, but Dean also wasn’t the type to walk away from something like this. The fact remained that she had killed people and that was exactly what they had been raised into fighting against. While she promised to lay low, Dean hadn’t been able to trust that. In Sam’s eyes where was the difference between Benny and Amy?
For one, Benny had helped Dean escape purgatory and he was trying not to go off the line and kill any humans. The hunter made sure of that much. Not to mention their friendship meant a lot to Dean. “It’s a rough thing to explain,” he assured, running a hand over his jawline. “You have to realize that for me and Sam it’s always been just us two and trusting anything — a vampire — well, it’s hard for him to understand it the way I see it.”
Shaking the explanation off, he focused on the shifter topic. “Shifters — god, I hate them almost as much as I hate witches. So have you run into it or just thing that’s what we’re dealing with here.” Focusing on something else made things easier. It was great to have his friend back, but it wasn’t as though it were easy for Dean to forget what he was. And as a hunter he knew he should be drawing the line and not making exceptions. He was only far too stubborn to do so.

Benny woke to the lovely sounds of the piano. He blinked awake slowly and smiled, simply relishing the peacefulness of the moment for just a minute before he dragged himself out of bed and got ready. Fresh. Clean. And... Well comfortable really. Benny had no idea why Leo even accepted him in here. But he didn't complain. He made sure he washed his hands and, marveled as he made his way back into the bar at the beauty of the whole place. Honestly, he felt like perhaps he had gotten much more than he deserved here. He smiled to himself as he entered the bar.
"Mornin'!" he called, noticing that his host was already awake. Benny would have to go over the menu for the day. He'd been around so long now that he'd heard of and made just about everything someone could think of. But he still had to be familiar with it. Everyone was a little different with how they wanted things done.
"Ey uh... Than's fer errythin' so far. I hope ya liak mah cewkin' enough tah keep me aroun' till yer frien' ge's back..." Benny scratched the back of his neck and moved behind the counter. Maybe he'd be a bartender too. Honestly the entire thing was a bit strange and Benny still wasn't sure what all the deal was anyway. He knew it'd be cleared up at some oint though and he was pretty damn alright with that. He scratched the back of his neck again and shuffled a bit awkwardly, "Yew play real niace," he said simply. Until that sour note, Benny could picture himself sitting through a performance really. And it was a nice feeling.

The following morning seemed all routine, and seemed to follow that too. Leo rose, washed and then made the necessary calls to who he had to. Orders arrived, menu and supplies checked for his new cook and the place made spotless for the new day (he made sure to get rid of the dried blood from the freezer- well, goo. Bloody leviathans, but best on ice since one of his “friends” had left him to dispose of the body). Leo could not forget the one time one of them had slipped up though, and he’d had to deal with it. Problem- you’re a hunter, and a vampire. Inevitable solution- mistaken identity by an inexperienced hunter in a nest raid. Nice guy-but an idiot. Rest his soul despite it being where it no doubt was he couldn’t help thinking.
All he was waiting on now was his new cook to rise to the occasion-no pun intended. So, he waited, in the bar, starting to play the old piano there (Gnossienne No.1 was the first thing that came to mind) hoping it would remind his guest (kindly, gently) that his hospitality was by no means entirely free- but as usual he ended up getting a little lost in the music instead as memories started to play out of his head as if before his eyes. And then his mind slipped entirely.
Couples danced under tinsel palm trees on the dance floor to the slow foxtrot, she moving her head side to side slowly like the glittering tendrils that seemed to float amongst them. Looking back, she smiled, asking for a dance. He didn’t deny-why not after all? But it would all be over soon regardless if he enjoyed himself or not as the identical twins in identical yellow dresses ask if you would still love them when they were no longer young and beautiful? in song. Of course Leo would love her. He always w-
A false key snuffed the memory from completion, he returning to the small bar in that small town waiting for that large man to make his entrance.

The door opened. Benny quickly glanced up and saw... Alex. Alex. Again. Alex. Alex who he hadn't seen for a week. Alex who looked just about the same, but perhaps a bit tired, Alex who smelled perfect and looked perfect and... Everything that Benny was going to say in his defense before he could get verbally and physically assaulted seemed to depart, leaving him completely speechless for not the first time in his life, but for the first time in a long time. Benny licked his lips. He blinked. It occurred to him that perhaps Alex hadn't missed him nearly as much as Benny had missed him. It also occurred to him how much he'd actually missed him. And Benny felt like a horrible person all over again.
After a pause, Benny simply surged forward and wrapped his arms around him, tightly because what else was he supposed to do? The urge to just hold him and kiss him and say he was sorry over and over again seemed to just hit him full in the stomach and Benny couldn't really do much besides hold him anyway. When he was finished, he kissed his cheek gently and pulled away with a sheepish expression because maybe Alex didn't want this kind of affection anymore, not from him. Benny had been kind of an idiot and he didn't expect Alex to take him back right away anyway. He licked his lips,
"I-- Panicked... 'm sawry. I shoulda-- Said sumthin' bu'... I was scured an' I didn' wan' yew tah thin' tha' the only reason 'm so intew yew is fer yer blud. 'cause i' ain't. An' I didn' thin' I could control mahself bu'... I thin' 'm alrigh'...." Benny's sentences kind of ran together and it was apparent that he once had a structure to what he was going to say but it had since vanished. Benny scratched the back of his neck again, "'m sawry...."
He sounded so stupid, he thought. He didn't even have a good excuse for leaving Alex high and dry like that. It was horrible. Benny should have said something. He was (not that he would admit it just yet he didn't think) in love with this kid and when you're in love with someone you don't just run away like that. He was pretty damn sure he'd hurt him in ways that Benny should never hurt anyone and he was looking to remedy that. Whatever Alex wanted. All the soft, kind, loving words he could think of. Everything. Anything. Alex could have it.
{Knock Knock} Benny & Alex
It had been forever since Alex had last seen his vampire.
He spent endless days calling and texting and sometimes knocking on the door of his motel… but he found out that Benny wasn’t staying there anymore from the clerk that worked in the lobby.
                      What had he done?
What had the slayer done that was so bad that Benny would just pick up and leave without a word? This was the question that kept him up at night. And whenever he could sleep, it was just nightmares of the man telling him he was no good. That he wasn’t what he had ever expected.
So the brunet just gave up. He gave up hope that the elder would ever come back to him. It was no use sitting and letting a heavy load of emotion affect his work, in school and in the cemetery.
That’s why he was surprised to find out that the two knocks at the front door wasn’t just a man delivering a package he was expecting, but instead it was Benny. Standing there with his sunglasses on and scratching his beard like he usually did when he was nervous.
                             ”… I… hey.”

{Knock Knock} Benny & Alex
So much had happened since the last time Benny had seen Alex. Recently he'd been kind of avoiding him to avoid the subject of feeding on him. Benny had had no intentions of feeding on Alex. Ever. Ever. He didn't drink people anymore. Alex was no exception. However, as he stood on Alex's doorsteps, fingers twitching, mind replaying the events of that fateful night Benny found himself thinking that maybe it wasn't so bad. Because honestly, Alex's blood did so much more for him than any other blood ever had and it'd tasted so much better and--
    Well....
Things got more heated than Benny had ever anticipated and that hadn't been something that Benny would ever take back. Ever. He cleared his throat, gave himself another minute and finally knocked on the door. Twice. He then took a step back and waited. Because this was important and he missed Alex and he didn't want him to think that he was avoiding him because he didn't like him anymore because that wasn't true. Benny just didn't know if he could really control himself so much anymore. He concluded, after about a week of thinking it over, that he could, in fact, control himself because Alex as a person was so much more important to him than the smell of his blood.
And Benny knew that was more than enough to keep himself in check, even if he did smell absolutely wonderful all the time. That was a bonus wasn't it? Benny fixed his hat on his head and pushed the sunglasses up the bridge of his nose and waited. Patiently. The sun beat onto the back of his neck, but he felt like he'd be alright so long as he got inside soon.
To be honest, when the door opened, Benny was half expecting a slap to the face or a punch to the gut. He hadn't exactly been the best of boyfriends. Benny wasn't good at this kind of thing anyway. He scratched his beard thoughtfully for a moment and chewed the inside of his cheek. This could get... Interesting.

Roommate is sleeping.
We're supposed to watch Sherlock. She's sleeping though and I don't want to wake her up because she needs the sleep. But I wanna watch Sherlock. But I don't wanna be rude. But I don't want to watch it without her. But. Wow. What do I do?
I'm going to go take a piss.
