In 1988, Oingo Boingo gained a good bit of popularity in Brazil, thanks to a few key songs from Boingo Alive making it to the top of the charts.

One of these tracks, "Stay", would earn a massive amount of attention after being featured on Top Model, a Brazilian soap opera.

Polygram Records would release this compilation in 1990 - just as Dark at the End of the Tunnel was hitting American record stores.
