I've had two but they broke (ace rings)

every time i see "old" aro/ace terminology that isn't nearly as commonplace as it once was because the online communities that either created them or promoted them got destroyed during the peak of exclusionism during the 2010s i get so sad

it was genuinely horrific watching aspec communities dwindle in numbers online in real time during 2015-2019 (i'm sure it is a major contributor to how bad my internalized arophobia was at the time) and i wish people other than aro/ace people spoke up about it or even Acknowledged the amount of damage it did to our community

Unfortunately, some TikTok peeps are being complete transphobic bastards and are reporting the lives and getting the accounts banned. The appeals are being rejected.

This hinders getting the word out on this fundraiser.

As an aroace person, I've had the opposite experience, honestly. People can't accept an asexual man.

Basically, those kind of people are "fine" with someone being queer, but only if you're queer in my way.

It's erasing asexuality. Even if it's phrased in a non-serious way, this is the problem.

Because people don't see erasing being ace or aro as a serious thing, when it is. Even worse, this person acknowledges they are doing it but doesn't care. People would be a lot more worried if this was turning a beloved and important black character white, or similar.

The Archangel Uriel works as a librarian at a prestigious university. It helps him take time away from his real job: trying to keep balance and order in the universe. A job made harder by a drunk guardian Angel who was tasked with guarding the life of the messiah, who is the worst. In his free time, Uriel likes to read bodice-busting Harlequin romance novels and imagining he has a boyfriend. He likes to thrift and collect eccentric trinkets and is doing his best not to completely lose his mind with the stress of the job.

Uriel is one of the main characters of the horror/comedy webcomic I’m working on called “You Will Not Be Saved” about a wayward guardian and his charge. Uriel is the Angel you meet first and is less batshit then his counterparts. But that’s not saying much.
