The Party Head cannons

Popular with the bullies *gun fingers*

Couple stuff? Double dates all the time / They're competitive couples -always trying to one up each other- / Will, Max and Lucas always give the best gifts because of how much thought they put into them, the rest forget and bring something from their way there, also Barb and Steve / they are really smooth

Max doesn't let Jane get high because she gets to talkative, Dustin doesn't let Lucas gets high because he gets too sensitive and Mike doesn't let Will get high because he gets to flirty (handy) and has no filter. Dustin gets pretty cuddly and tells secrets

Vacations/Road trips, Mike and Will remodeling the van (the one that El flipped over them) and they use to travel. They go on their first trip on spring break before they become high school seniors. They go to Arizona, Puerto Peñasco (a day and five hour trip so they took eight hour turns -Mike going first, Max going second, and Lucas last-), they had a blast trying to surf (the surfing instructor was really young and started flirting with Will, ‘your boyfriend seems like he is ready to kill me if I touch you in the wrong way’ “he is just protective” Will said melancholically as if it were no big deal ‘how much you want bet that if I put a hand on your waist he’ll come immediately’ “some free lessons would be nice”) and when they accidentally kissed in public no one shot them weird looks instead they all started kissing their loved one (Puerto Peñasco was more liberal and since no one knew them they could be openly affectionate). They slept in the bed inside the van Mike spooning Will who is facing the doors, Max and El facing each other they were head to toes with the guys, Dustin and Lucas gave each other their back but hold hands under the blanket. No motel, only for taking a bath and getting ready to a beach party they were invited, some dudes wanted with the girls and they went along just because the guys insisted. They stayed for four days. When they went to a bar they ordered their main drink which is ‘tequila sunrise’ a fruity tequila drink Will loved it and gets hella drunk after the fifth one but by the third one he was already tipsy / The first time they go out of town -as a group- they go to a 70’s themed disco and discover that their boy Will can dance

Summer, the party went swimming in the nearby lake, where Will saw the continents on Max’s freckles while she was sunbathing and he traced them, they chicken fight / make bon fires and roast marshmallows / they ride their bikes to the ice cream parlor / run barefoot through the fields / they also made flower crowns / A carnival past by and they went all the week that it was in town, the couples each went to the Ferris wheel, the last day they had fireworks, they watched from a hill / The four boys tied their shoes and threw them into electric cords they are stuck there ever since / they were once forced to sleep together, Mike ended up having to confront Will by stroking his forehead and Will tangled his fingers in Mike’s hair ; Jane kept hogging the blanket so Max had to spoon her, in the morning they end up smelling like each other ; they made a wall of pillows to separate them, Dustin kept snoring and Lucas kicking but in the morning they still ended up tangled on each other, they can't exactly say they minded

They have a secret word for when things are getting too weird or awkward and just want to change topics, ravioli, then they proceed to sing the sponge bob song and make a new conversation

They have mutual break ups and their sexualities are defined; Max and Will are gay, El, Mike and Lucas are bi, Dustin is pan

School? On their last Snowball they danced as a bunch and halfway through they leave and chill on the bleachers, they’re happy and in love -Byeler is low-key making out and Henclair is just lovingly staring at each other- / Prom is loud and they sweat a lot, they jam to fast songs and loose it all together / They eat their lunch in the back of Lucas pickup truck so they can openly be gay / They sometimes ditch P.E. together -one time Jonathan catches them and Will blackmailed him with telling their mom that he was ditching to make out with Steve he only said ‘touché’ and left them alone- / First year as freshmen? Oh, yeah proud momma Steve dropped them all off / They pass notes in Morse code during class -Jane uses her powers to make paper plains fly from everyone seats because the teacher separated them as soon as the cafeteria accident happened-

Truth or dare is boring because they tell each other every thing, it only gets interesting when they ask couple questions -like: who is the big or little spoon while cuddling? Who asked who? First date? First time? First kiss? If you were a girl/boy…?- this, El: I've never kissed a boy, Will: me neither, Mike: whAT DO YoU GuYs MeAN, definitely happened

Privacy is something Hawkins doesn't fully understand so they hang out in the tree house. Hang out? More like bicker, make out -they have a bell just in case- and get high, They also have a swing

The girl that cried and danced with Will is Jennifer -she’s lesbian- she cried at Will’s funeral because she was the only one that knew and now there was no one who could confide in -she has a girlfriend named Tara and she works at the local dinner and is always willing to give them the back booth-

They watched ‘Back to the future’ and loved it

Karaoke night is a thing for them. Mike sings ‘viva la vida’ to Will. Max and El sing ‘how to be a heartbreaker.’ Dustin and Lucas sing ‘tell me what you want’ as a duet, after they sang individually. ‘The mythic’ is their group song. Will sings ‘I wanna be yours’ by Arctic monkeys and they learn that their girl Jane can rap

The party in their nice church clothes

Monopoly, Jane is always the first one to go bankrupt but Max is always like “I gotcha babe” and they share properties and money, Henclair is all about the ‘if he passes he doesn't have to pay’ and Byeler is just competing with each other

Ruffles vs Classic lays “Cheese is so much better” ‘salt is better than cheese’ “you take that back!” And Jane likes Cheetos

“You wanna go Byers?” ‘Bring it on Ives’ the war of the century which ends with laughter and hugs

They ask Will who is the better dad and he is all nervous and they are all looking at him, even the party, and then he smiles, a wicked caught the cannery smile, and they all get goose bumps, “the best dad is the one that can tell me, no birds no bees, where babies come from” and they all holler and Steve and Hopper just awkwardly cough and say it’s a tie. ‘They always do what I tell them not to!’ Pats him on the back apologetically “welcome to parenthood, buddy”

They once, for Aprils fools, so it was obviously Will’s idea, they spend the afternoon covering Steve’s BMW in multi-colored post-it notes, they each leave a signature, one time they wanted to prank Will for April fools he was prepared for everything and even pranked them on his way to class

Their last thanksgiving in Hawkins? They all spend it together in the Byers house, this time the Wheeler’s are included, -Holly and Karen- they all have a turn talking about what they are thankful for, Mike high-key spends all his turn talking about his bb boy, Will talks about how he is grateful for his family and how he hoped they never have to go over something like that again but also talks about his goofy bf, Max rolls her eyes but totally wants to one up them so she just talks about her beautiful gf

They are super competitive when it comes to -the old version of- Kahoot they always choose hilarious names and Dustin once broke one of the machines while pressing the button to hard

For the ‘who wore it better’ wall there is a picture of Dustin and Will with the same jacket, Lucas and Mike get into an argument on who looks the best, Dustin and Will exchange jackets and tell them to differentiate them

Byeler Head cannons

[WARNING: long post ahead but if you love Byeler as much as I do you’ll read]

The Halloween of 1984 starts with a new feeling after their ‘crazy together’ promise and it was also kind of a confession

“Crazy together?” ‘Crazy together’

Mike and Will kiss behind the bleachers and then Mike asks Will to be his boyfriend. Will was the one to ask Mike to meet him there, Mike immediately panics and is ready to apologize but Will shuts him up with a kiss. Will knew Mike would act all weird after what happened over the weekend; they had sex -happened during their sophomore year over the summer- Mike felt horrible about it, not because regret doing it but because he wished it had happened in better conditions, he wanted to go slow because it was the boy he loved and because it was Will. They had done it in the clearing near the tree house there were fireflies

They love horror movies they devour them, making conspiracy theories linking them all together, they made fun of the characters and how fake the blood and special effects look. Meanwhile Dustin is chanting a frantic ‘lalalala’ while covering his ears, Lucas tries to act tough but flinches with every jump scare, Max and Jane are under the blankets

To one up the others Mike ditches last period and comes back once school ends and everyone is leaving, he comes back with a CD player playing ‘Africa’ by Toto is blasting with Mike singing right along with it, and even though they planned it together, Will can’t help but blush and silence Mike with a kiss

They totally have this, “I’M GOING TO SCREAM TO THE WORLD THAT I LOVE YOU” ‘Mike no-’ he comes closer and whispers “I love you” ‘what? I thought you were going to-’ extreme blush ‘Mike’ he scolds and buries his face in Mike’s chest while he’s laughing, thing going on / Also, the, ‘I can fit the whole world in my hands’ “Will that’s impossible, do you know how big-” Will cups Mike’s face and kisses his nose ‘you are my whole world’ and leaves a very flushed Mike behind, thing

First kiss? They were in the school way past hours -Will forgot his art supplies and Mike his notebook and he couldn’t afford another 70- they almost got caught and hid in the janitor’s closet. Their hearts drumming with adrenaline from almost getting caught and being so close to each other. Maybe one leaned down and the other had to tip-toe a little but they made it, they were kissing slowly, just testing, experimenting. Until Will encircled Mike’s neck with shaky arms and Mike passed an unexperienced arm around the others waist. When they couldn’t breathe nor hear anything but their beating hearts, they opened the closet door. Mike offered to take Will home but all the way there an uncomfortable silence settled between them because, what were they supposed to say? So, when they awkwardly waved each other goodbye Will was the one to stop Mike, cup his face and kiss him, either goodnight, goodbye or thank you it didn’t matter. Other kisses? After that first one the others are a little more awkward -them being a little more self-conscious- is butting noses and awkward eye contact but they still can’t help but blush and feel millions of butterflies / I gave him a huge smile and kiss his lips. I feel him smile into the kiss and grab my waist, pulling me into his lap. He continues to kiss me while I play with the hair at the back of his head; he pulls away and immediately hugs me

Byeler forever staying in the honeymoon phase -and while at it Mike couldn’t help but talk non-stop about how amazing Will is “Ew! Dude that’s gay!” ‘It’s not! It’s true!’ “Truly gay”

When they fight, they go for r e a l s, draws a glass of water ‘here’ stamps it on Mike’s face ‘drink up pretty boy’ gets up and starts to leave “fuck you Byers!” Flips him off ‘you would love to wouldn’t you?/I’d love to see you try!’ / ‘get your shit and leave!’ “Fine!” Puts on coat and carries Will out the door ‘Elmax: did he just-’ / they are fighting over a movie, Will thought he had already seen it but Mike said he didn’t. Will was ready to physically fight so Lucas and Dustin were restraining him, he told Mike to get out -the party couldn’t believe it, he even yelled at Jane for trying to interfere and Max stood up for her gf but Will gave her such a cold stare that froze her in place, Will was always coping with Mike’s bullshit to go nuts over this- so yeah this has been their biggest argument. But they also have fights that look more like flirting ‘you learned your lesson?’ “Oh, yes, I’m sorry, please don’t beat me up with your flowers and paintbrushes!” ‘You better run’ / “what? No! Whatever” ‘whatever what?’ “Whatever you say” ‘whatever I say?’ “Shut up” and kisses him / “and where do you think you’re going mister?” He says raising an eyebrow. He releases my arm and I bolt upstairs. He chases after me due to him being so much taller than me. He grabs my waist and pulls me into him in a hug. He lifts me up and swings me over his shoulder and he walks back to the basement

Songs? ‘I stole your love’ by Kiss, ‘Africa’ by Toto, ‘Stay’ by Hurts, ‘how deep is your love?’ by Bee Gees, ‘We are gonna be friends’ by The White Stripes -it’s the first song Mike learns in the guitar-, ‘Moon dust’ by Jayme’s Young, ‘I’ve got a huge crush on you’ by SNCKPCK -Will knows how to play the ukulele-, ‘I like you’ by Dandelion Hands -is the follow up from Mike to Will’s song-, ‘Just fine’ by Spookyghostboy -Will —> Mike-, ‘Sleepover’ by Hayley Kiyoko -Mike <—> Will-, ‘Wild’ by Troye Sivan, ‘I melt with you’ by Modern English

Dancing in the kitchen? Yes, all the time more in the mornings when Will is lazily cooking breakfast and the radio is softly playing on the background -the others usually watch with heart eyes and refer to them as mom and dad- Will and Mike are slow dancing to imaginary music and the rest watching from the living room, they start to kiss ‘Ew! Mummy and Daddy are kissing!’ Jopper comes in all confused because they barely got up when Hopper sees what’s going on he gets all protective and separates them “better keep your distance Wheeler” he threatens and Mike gives a loud gulp and Will pouts with his arms crossed over his chest

Prom? “Nice tux Byers, who picked it out for you? Your mom?” ‘Why, well thank you, and yes she did should I send her your compliments?’ Wraps his arms on Will’s middle and whispers to the shell of his ear “Yeah tell her she gave birth to a damn fine son” fake gasp ‘Wheeler!’ Everything is flirting and that was just the begging of the night

First time saying ‘I love you’? Mike and Will are kissing on the outside picnic tables -Fags!- Will rolls his eyes and stands up ‘come say it to my face!’ -bet you’d like it better if I said it to your asshole- ‘what a coincidence I was just talking to one’ eyes him up and down, silence, the bull clicks his tongue and leaves with his hands in his pockets “wow Will you shut him up real good” ‘I’m just tired of being everyone’s punch bag’ “I love you”

They hold hands under the table

Confession? “I really like you” ‘really?’ Nods ‘holy shit’ laughs and leans in to hug him and kiss the other boys’ forehead

When they chill in Mike’s basement usually Will is under the coffee table drawing and Mike is on the couch with his feet propped on the coffee table -they are a creative duo- Will draws and Mike makes the new campaign

Moving out? They get their own little place at 20. They’re too lazy to unpack so they place a blanket on their empty living room and have dinner, they dance to ‘rebel yell’ and are filled with happiness because this is theirs. When there is, nothing left to do, they throw themselves on their mattress and look at each other. They move to New York, there having good universities for both, they don’t go to the same one though, but Mike’s always there at the end of the day

First date? They’re shy and awkward, they spent their first date in castle Byers cuddling and talking softly ’til three in the morning. Other dates? They wanted to go to a roller skating ring, instead they slid on the Wheeler’s kitchen floor with their socks, and they put any song and can sing any song at the top of their lungs. When Nancy goes down to yell at them she sees Byeler slow dancing with Will standing on Mike’s feet as they sing an off-tune Sinatra to themselves and she can’t seem to bring herself to be mad / They typically have afternoon dates in the others house, they kiss, hug and laugh. They tell each other bad jokes and watch black and white movies with no sound so they invent the dialogue / Once Dustin joked about Will having a girl’s body and they took it too literal trying to dress Will as a girl to go on an actual date so they asked Jane and Max to give him a make-over. Jane was excited and Max was skeptic at first but still helped. When Mike came to pick his date, he was really nervous “oh sorry guys I didn’t know you guys had someone over” the girls giggled and were recording everything Will giggled and got up ‘it’s me Mike, do I really look that different?’ Mike saw the sky-blue dress with white pock-a-dot dress and the wig that went to Will’s waist with a single braid on the back and he soon started blushing and stammering compliments. Stonathan was casually coming in and said ‘careful Mike your heart eyes are showing’ but didn’t comment on Will’s make over. The girls thought it was cute and wanted to try so they dressed Jane in Will’s clothes and they went out together

Pet names? For Will: baby boy, babe, cutie; For Mike: baby, grumpy, freckles, love, bae

Shopping? Mike thinks he is so smug and actually places small snack on the shopping kart and Will either pretend to not notice or puts them back -because even though Mike is smug he is much better- the face Mike makes when they’re in the cashier is just comical but Will is weak and can’t see his lover sad so he buys him a candy bar. When they go to the mall Will always laughs at Mike’s outfits decisions and criticizes him

Their last Snowball before High school they wanted to slow-dance but they didn’t want to be judged so they went to the restroom and slow danced there -they were a little awkward at first and blushed by seeing their reflection in the mirror, it was the first time noticing their height difference. They danced to ‘how deep is your love?’ And it kind of became their song

‘I’m so hungry I’d sell you for a pizza’ “what kind of pizza?” ‘Meat and pepperoni’ soft gasp and glittery eyes “babe”

‘Mike it’s just one weekend’ pouts “too long” he holds onto Will’s bag -his family was going upstate for the weekend and Max and Steve were bugging the others to stay-

Will underestimates himself and can never seem to talk back, he just lets other people walk over him and never saw himself as good looking. Mike, whenever Will is feeling that way towards his body, he puts him in front of a mirror and points all of the things he likes about him and makes sure to kiss him and complement him

“Get a room!” Seems to be everyone’s one liner for them. Once while riding on Jane’s Beetle -they had to sit on each other’s legs, Mike and Lucas totally don’t mind- “Max, can you go faster before they start making out next to us?” ‘Max, could you go slower so me and Will can make out next to them?”

Once Will calms down from a nightmare and neither want to go to sleep they talk science -the cosmos, technology and books- they are total nerds and one night they learn cryptography and send each other encrypted love letters in class

School? in middle school they took every opportunity to sit together, they do homework together -even if they don’t have classes together- they hog the line for hours, they secretly held pinkies in the hallway and if Mike is feeling brave he kissed Will behind his locker door -they keep doing that in HS- / in Hs they don’t have any classes together until Junior and Senior year / They go to the rooftop and Will has some pictures of the scenery and Mike has a few of Will drawing the scenery / They tutor each other and also use that time to make out a little

If they don’t like a food they just give it to the other, also Mike has this thing where he feeds Will it always confuses the other but Will low-key loves it

Dominance? Everyone would say neither in an instant because they influence each other’s decisions so much, but it all depends on whose angle you see it, and what you mean by it

Valentine’s day? Yeah Mike doesn’t believe in it, he says it’s a way for the companies to make more money, so they don’t celebrate it not the day they wait a week or so until the candy is half the price and then just chill in Will’s room listening to romantic mix tapes and lots of cuddles and make out sessions

Hugs? Since the height difference is really noticeable Mike holds Will by the waist and Will holds him from his neck. I put my arms around his neck, pulling him closer. He returns the hug and placed his arms around my lower waist. I put my chin in his shoulder and breathe in his scent. I feel him trying to pull me closer. ‘If you try to pull me any closer, I’ll be on your lap’ he giggles and holds me tighter “I wouldn’t mind that” he said in a flirty tone

Cuddling? Will had his head in Mike’s chest with his arms curled up next to him and Mike has one arm wrapped around him

Collages? Will has a wall full of pictures and on another wall, he has a ‘who wore it better’ wall. It all started when they shared a red sweater and they each took a picture with it, in the middle of the wall there is a picture of Will with a black skirt and a blue plaid shirt. They have pictures of all the party since they share clothes quite often

Byeler Head cannons pt.2

[WARNING: long post ahead but if you love Byeler as much as I do you’ll read]

William ‘Will’ Byers

Will with a better haircut

Will loving rock and heavy metal but loving like a classical music boy -is honestly aesthetic-

Will learning to play electric bass/guitar or the drums and singing ‘wolf in sheep clothes’ -would kill me- also Will took piano lessons as an elective and the old lady that was teaching him died leaving him with an unfinished piece

After every make out Will steps outside for a moment because ‘holy shit’

Will wearing Mike’s clothes. Will wearing overalls and looking hipster as fuck, jean overalls and an open plaid shirt or maybe one of Mike’s sweaters underneath, the overalls are Jane’s, when Mike sees him he sweeps him off his feet and make out against a tree so needless to say Will ends up with lots of hickeys

Will has a bizarre friendship with Troy when they get partnered up for an English essay (Troy ends up being real good at writing and Will is super proud of him, so consequently he shows Will all of his stories and Will makes some illustrations for the stories) (Will learns everything there is to know about Football -because even though Troy could write, it didn’t mean his handwriting was good- while he was rewriting it Troy kept on rambling about it) (his parents aren’t exactly role model and he is neglected which is why he got into so much trouble, he just wanted attention) (Steve and Troy are brothers, but he doesn’t know about the whole Stonathan thing, so when he invited Will to his house and Will just lazily waves at Steve he asks how they know each other, “small town!” they both answer) (he hides his stories inside XXX magazines)

Prankster! Will, so April fools becomes the most feared festivity for the party -Will has the perfect facade of a good boy who wouldn’t harm a fly so calling in sick was never an option, Dustin once did and Will came to visit saying he was here to drop off some homework ‘oh honey he hasn't been feeling ok’ “don’t worry Ms. Henderson I'll have him up and running in no time” / Senior year of high school they were dying of fear and were prepared for everything, Mike once thought he had immunity, he didn’t, Will proved it with a whip cream pie and when he liked the tip of Mike’s nose he whispered innocently ‘no one is safe’ it made them gulp hard. So, they were all waiting of the fatal prank, nothing happened at all but they were still jumpy until it was midnight, through the walkie-talkies they heard ‘happy April fools’ and a faint giggle so child-like they couldn’t help but feel goose bumps / He once took all the paper from the restrooms while Dustin was pooping and he screamed ‘son of a bitch’ of course the paper was stashed in his locker and left him like a mummy

Loves forehead kisses and pats on the head -Mike having to remove Will’s hair from his forehead to kiss him and then smiling tenderly at him-

Without nightmares, he is a steady sleeper but Mike is a hurricane

Very flirty until he notices he is flirting then he becomes a stuttering mess of apologies

He is very sassy but without meaning it he just sometimes speaks his mind

Compulsive eater and the rest envy him because he never seems to get fat

Will is a happy drunk Mike is kind of a grumpy drunk, when drunk he sits on Mike’s lap. He once proclaimed -screamed- his love for Mike the first time he gets drunk, and then on the morning he reassures Mike. He only calls Mike ‘Mikey’ when he is drunk

When Will gets sick he acts like it’s nothing but others would be on a hospital bed

Love arts and crafts and Mike goes all heart eyes for him -he isn't very subtle he literally is sighing out loud and his chin is resting on the palm of his hand-

Always falls for Mike’s puppy dog eyes

Will has a notebook where he keeps all the cute compliments and Mike has ever said to him, starting with ‘would you be my friend?’, it’s written in nice handwriting, dated and with a doodle of Mike underneath

When he tells Jonathan about him and Mike he smiles, winks at him and gives him a big thumbs up

Will is always the first one to wake up so he peppers kisses all over Mike’s face until he wakes up

Loves tickle fights and hearing his bf laugh is the best feeling

Will doesn't mind spiders he just opens the window and puts them outside

Hot chocolate team

For Christmas, Will gives them some of the Christmas lights -the once his mom bought- for them to put on their rooms -it means a lot to Will because it’s a promise that he’ll never be in the dark and his friends of course want to make him happy and comfortable in their own houses so they take it -Mike and Lucas fight because they both wanted blue lights

With Jane joining the family Will gives up his room and currently is staying in the attic -so now Mike has to pull a Steve Harrington and climb up the window-

This boy can dance -a girl asked to dance with him, Mike thought it was hilarious so he told him to have fun, big mistake, he was good and almost everyone turned to look at them they were dancing to ‘the man’ by The Killers and they were killing it. After the dance was over he thanked her but told her he was here with someone she was too, they exchanged numbers and are pen pals-

Zombie make up for Halloween and the next Halloween he paints his face as a skeleton

‘So when was the last time you sucked a dick, fag?’ “Hmm, don't remember when was the last time your dad said he was ‘working late’?”

Honestly Will enjoys Richie Tozier kind of humor, he despises dad jokes but loves ‘yo momma’ jokes and also seeing people trip makes his day even though he is the one to help them up

He is good at Galaga -has the top score under the name of ‘DEFAULT’ so none of his friends know- he can literally hold a conversation while playing

Coffee makes Will hyper and hyper Will is something to fear

No one can get mad at Will

Beautiful Will Byers, auburn hair and brown eyes and beauty marks

Spent hours doodling on Steve’s face, and Mike’s he sees constellations in his freckles on his dreamless nights

Will kind of has a thing for smoking Mike, it turns him on, there is just a thing of seeing his bf’s throat extend and expel the smoke or how he curves his lips in the cigar

He is a back scratcher and always pulls on Mike’s hair -while at sex-

He had a crush on Steve when they first met

Who brings animals home? This boi and they usually take them to the veterinary after -unfortunately his family can’t afford to keep them- he doesn't mind he volunteers to help in the shelter

He gets a job in a comic store and help every now and then in the animal shelter, he also worked in the library for community service hours and things got a little crazy, they had the annual thing where a tattoo parlor comes they have pizza ad play cards against humanity while watching their co-workers get a tattoo, that’s where he gets his first tattoo it’s on the lower half of his torso covering up the scar Nancy did that night. He didn't remember about out it until Mike pointed it out, he literally chocked on his coffee while having breakfast the next day

After studying he becomes a famous photographer, he does photo shoots for celebrities, but Mike will forever be his favorite model and even has been used as a model for Gucci and Prada. On his free time, he paints and if he is lucky and if an art critic is interested he has his art displayed in a museum

Jane and Will are really close -trauma sibling solidarity- they have a very friendly sibling relationship. They look out for each other, play together and never fight. So of course, they tell each everything, including each other’s crush, they push each other to confess and now every Saturday they have double dates / For some time Will was teaching Jane how to draw but she was easily distracted and gave up / Will and Jane are a scary team in billiard

When Jopper have dates they usually left the kids in the Byers house and since they share traumas it’s easy to scare each other. They shared a bed on those nights and cuddled innocently. Mike came to visit one night and seeing them cuddle made him think ‘should I feel jealous? Then, why don't I? Elmax Head cannons

‘Ride or die’

The local lesbians, go hand in hand everywhere and have matching tattoos -they have a heart on the left arm covering Jane’s number-

It starts with El saving Max from Billy and then gentle touches, secret hand holding, not so subtle -or accidental- eye contact

Asking for skating lessons was an innocent way to approach each other with the silent excuse of impressing Mike, just that. But neither could concentrate. To teach Jane she had to hold her hips and that little contact threw them off. Jane couldn’t think of anything but Max touching her and why did she feel it with such intensity if she’s supposed to like Mike. If Max could have concentrated on anything but Jane’s pretty eyes or curly beautiful hair or her nervous smile she could have taught her a thing or two. There is also that one time with Will in the background trying to figure out how to use his new camera, when Jane fell and Max put her fourteen hello kitty band aids on her scrapped knee and Jane whispering “I’m not even bleeding” and Will erupting in laughing hysterically, he doesn’t notice but he’s been recording it all, and the last thing on the tape is Max running after Will screaming ‘Byers!’

They start dating in the most aggressive way, Max was tired of Jane’s silent treatment so they both explode -the boys explain what rude/mean means and Jane feels guilty, also word of the day, so the boys encourage her to apologize- Max is in her rooftop eating directly from a tub of ice cream and when Jane comes to view she jumps down, Jane is impressed, she wants to apologize but Max doesn’t give her a chance to and before they know it they kiss

Tried to date in secret but they fucked up

First week or so of dating and Max wanted to be so much better than Mike so whenever Byeler did something they did it too but better -when Max saw Mike buying all this gifts for Will she wanted to do the same for Jane but she didn’t have the money when Jane confronted her about it “I don’t care about those stuff Max, I only wanted you” and she blushes and giggles because she loves her gf-

Max confesses that she keeps important stuff in a shoebox and getting all flustered when she confesses she keeps stuff from their dates. Jane really doesn’t understand what she’s supposed to keep so she keeps the napkins, the straw rappers and even some rocks, she’ll put the date on them and know exactly what happened that day. When she shows the box to Max she tears up a little -Jane kept the Kleenex-

Jane still doesn’t understand the concept of dating so she gives Max cool rocks she found outside and dandelions she finds in the sidewalk, honestly Max’s heart grows every time and she treasures the gifts. Max once took one of the rocks to be polished and made into a heart; she wears it as a ring and is the only jewelry accepted. The first time it happens Max duct tapes the rock to her arm for like a week. This, “hey can I borrow a sweater?” ‘Yeah sure’ opens the closet and a pile of rocks falls “you kept them?” Shiny eyes, totally happened

They have soft spot for rom coms

Byeler comes out in front of the whole cafeteria, they kiss and announce they’re dating, Max and Jane say ‘fuck it’ and stand up holding proudly because ‘fuck it, we could probably kick anyone’s ass if they disagree’ other closet lgbt+ stand up and held their lovers hand. It becomes a freaking riot when the principal comes and girls kissing girls as well as boys kissing boys. After that they don’t try hiding and the girls told the principle that they didn’t want lesbians in the locker room, so they change in the restroom, honestly they liked it better, gave them more privacy

They hadn’t been naked around each other -they were comfortable seeing each other in underwear- Max is the one to go down and can’t help but to fall in love with every reaction from her cute lover

For Christmas Jane gives Max a yellow skate board with a flower pattern on the back, Max gave her a pretty dress and make up. They fill Max’s skate board with stickers and Jane gives her a little ‘e’ so she remembers her

When they come out they just intertwined their fingers and Jane said a soft “dating” before leaving

The bleachers was Henclair’s spot but Jane dethroned them

They hold hands under the blanket

First kiss? They were both worried gay and even though Max had it all planned out and rehearsed when it happened they couldn’t help but whisper “oh my god…I just kissed a girl…oh my-” More kisses? Jane is always the one to deepen the kiss -she appreciates her gf wanting to go slow but sometimes that’s just not what she wants- she usually is on top of Max and Max has her hands on her sides Jane likes to bite -it makes Max moan and she loves it-

They ditch math to see each other, they usually go to the bleachers smoke and even kiss

They hang out a lot on the swing. Max gladly pushes Jane and Jane returns the favor by using her powers to make her go higher, after that they sprawl on the grass and Jane can’t help but sigh seeing how her gf’s hair glows in the sun

Slow dancing is their tea

They go to concerts together -as an art project Max fills a denim jacket with pins and patches from the concerts they’ve attended- and when finished she gave it to Jane as a Christmas present. Once they couldn’t go to a concert Max got a boom box, festival paint, glow stick and snacks. They had their own little concert at the cabin

Jane wanted the purple elephant so gf to the rescue Max got it for her

They’ve got the back booth at the local dinner reserved

Unpacking? Yeah it can wait

No school days? Yeah they stay home, Max is in the kitchen with bed hair, ratty prams and she’s swaying her hips to some catchy song on the radio ‘do you like Piña colada’ while making pancakes

Valentine’s day? Jane is in love with the concept of love and makes tons of paper hearts for Max and puts them on her locker, by the end of the day Max’s backpack is full of paper hearts, the they go to Max’s apartment and chill with chocolates and a movie marathon

Maxine ‘Max’ Mayfield

She was not prepared for the winters in Indiana -coming from a hot place like California- she wore extra layers and a big jacket, while the others just wear a long sleeve shirt and a scarf -they laughed at her-

Bad singer? Her

Comfort eater? Her

Sneaks into the cabin for study dates and since Jane didn't got to school until sophomore year Max came in and helped her study, which usually end on them cuddling over one of the books with Max hearing Jane read

For her first day as a sophomore in Hs she uses a black skirt and a grey crop top hoodie

She was terrified about asking Jane out, she wasn't being able to hold still, butterflies all over her stomach. She stuttered all the way but Jane being overjoyed when she finally got it out gave her confidence and once she accepted Jane ran to tell Mike about her date. The date was on a Saturday; they went to the arcade and Max let Jane win once in a while. They went to a 50’s themed restaurant and order a hamburger with fries and a big chocolate milkshake -Jane discovered she liked French fries dipped in milkshake- then they went to the movies and halfway through Jane laces their pinkies together. After they sat with a blanket over their shoulders on a hill to watch the sunset

She thought she’d hate mornings in the Hopper household but actually catches herself swaying her hips to the shitty 80’s music while making breakfast. She enjoys the ‘coffee and contemplation’ mornings with Hopper, he is usually reading the newspaper while she reads a book

She blushes just by seeing Jane and gets distracted by he even if she’s far away

She emancipated as soon as she was 16 and had enough money for an apartment near school -Jane tried to convince Hopper to let he move in with her but no- she lived in the Jopper household for a while just while the process was going. She adopts a cat with ginger fur and two colored eyes and called him Meowth. The party also pitched in with money for the lawyer and the papers. She had actually gotten the process started since she was 14 knowing how long these things took, a nice she lawyer took her case and had her emancipated before her 16th birthday. Telling her mom was hard but she just wanted to get out of there

She loves to hug Jane by the waist and burry her face in the crook of her neck

And I hope for you guys sake that you only have to deal with me, “cause she is a whole lot scarier”

She is a grumpy cuddly but is an early riser -whenever she is at a sleep over at the Byers/Hopper’s house she always tries to be the first to wake up but somehow Will is always up already and eating cereal in front of the TV the one time she does wake up first Will came later through the door and Max huffed because he left a long time ago and she just went back to sleep-

With her crush on Jane she was in denial for a long ass time and overtime the song ‘Jessie’s girl’ came on she thought of Jane and Mike

She works at the movie theater over the summer

She studied child development and became a kindergarten teacher

Jane Hopper

She learns how to ride a bike, Will teaches her how and Hopper buys her a used bike over the summer, they attach a red wagon to the bike and that’s usually where Max seats, where they put their backpacks or Max’s skate board

She is very good at Mrs. Packman and Will at packman so they have their high-scores as ‘trauma’ “siblings”

Seeing Joyce in the cabin wearing Hopper’s plaid shirts becomes normal

She could totally go out in the winter in a spaghetti strap blouse and be ready to go

The last page is blank except for a question in it ‘would you marry me?’ And Jane is in one knee with the prettiest ring -shaped like a rock and with a dandelion printed in it at the center

When she concentrates, she pokes her tongue out a little, Max like to poke it sometimes kiss it

She is a soft and cuddly when she is sleeping but is a late riser -could sleep all day if you let her, which happened, one day, she was already living at the Byers house and she slept all day, making up at one in the morning not expecting to see anyone up she walks to the kitchen to make herself some eggos. She finds Will laughing quietly at the TV he got startled when she called his name, but they ended up watching infomercials till three in the morning-

Comes home late Jopper is waiting “am I in trouble?” ‘Take a guess’ “no...?” Joyce snickers ‘have another guess’

She becomes a cheerleader -the uniform is yellow and navy blue-

She hated the movie ‘Carrie’ because of how much she could relate with it, but she was interested on the research the girl did

She studies to become a psychiatrist

“We know all things” their voices were eerie and hollow and made a chill go through everyone’s spine ‘you two are fucking creepy like twins in a horror movie’ says Max

It starts with them thinking they want Max but are really just trying to impress each other. They are really stupid they each thought that the other liked Max so she was in the middle of the whole thing, “I saw you guys holding hands in the bus” ‘she was just scared’ mumbling “I was scared too but you didn’t hold my hand”

They get together in the cheesiest of ways, they’re on the arcade playing a multi-player game and Dustin goes “would you the Luigi to my Mario?” Lucas blush and then their fighting over who is Mario -they’re 14/15-. When Lucas proposes, he gets on one knee and with a controller in hand he says “would you be my second player?” And Dustin blush and accept then they leave to bicker about who gets first player, probably happens on their senior year of high school and then in the morning Dustin wakes up with a silver engagement ring.

First kiss? It’s new years and they camp out kissing under the stars at midnight

Erica -Lucas’ little sister- always catches them kissing and always tells Dustin how much Lucas talks about him and how much he gushes about how much he loves him. And she always teases Lucas with the same line “so this is why you only hang out with boys” and even though she teases them she would be the first to stand up to defend them

No affection in school but they definitely pass notes in class -Dustin keeps them all on the back pocket of his science binder- even though they a have a no affection in school policy they are a very openly affectionate couple

[WARNING: long post ahead, but if you love Stonathan as much as I do you’ll read ‘till the end]

School? On their Junior year dance they ditched and went to the school’s roof “the scenery is beautiful” looking at Jonathan ‘yes, it is’ “you aren't even looking” ‘it’s still beautiful’ “bite me” gets closer encircling Jonathan’s waist with his arms but loosely enough so that he can pull away ‘where? Where do you want me to bite you? Your lip? Your hip?’ and every time he talks his lips are brushing Jonathan's / Naps are their tea, they ditch P.E. to sleep

Pet names? Not really but Steve calls Jonathan J or Jonny-boy

First date? Jonathan is about to go inside “Jonathan! I owe you an apology for, everything” ‘are you kidding? You helped safe my brother and even helped cleaning my house’ “then would you go on a date with me?” ‘what?’ “well if you don't want to its fine” he starts to leave ‘are you picking me up?’ “yes! Saturday?” Jonathan nods with a smile “is five okay?” ‘sure I'll be waiting’ he smiles and goes inside. They go eat a hamburger and start to know each other better. Like, Steve likes his fries with mustard and Jonathan hates garlic bread but prefers black licorice and that he was once dared -by the part- to eat a raw potato that he vomited the next day. They go swimming to the lake and they flirt and touch a little longer than necessary, and maybe Jonathan holds the hug a little too much but Steve couldn't be happier -behind the scenes is Dustin who Steve called, not expecting a positive answer-

Drunk? turns out Jonathan is an honest drunk so Steve is afraid of what he might say, turns out that Jonathan confesses his undying love for him and that he is a little jealous of the kids because they get all of his attention

“I’m yours and nothing is going to change that, got it?” ‘got it’

Songs? ‘the night begins to shine’ it became their song after they were having a lazy Saturday morning and were watching Teen Titans Go, Steve began to nod along and got up, from his very comfortable position in the couch next to Jonathan, and asked him to dance with him. ‘In the air tonight’ became their song while making out and Steve pulled away to play the drum part and Jonathan could only laugh and call him a dork

They put notes on each other’s lockers, mainly Steve

Jonathan goes to NYU and Steve follows like a puppy. He becomes a cop. They each had a job to pay for the others college without even knowing

Jonathan wearing Steve’s t-shirts and holding hands while cuddling. Steve is the little spoon he doesn't mind he loves the way Jonathan’s head fits perfectly in the crook of his neck

They go to David Bowie concerts together

Jonathan was the first to say ‘I love you’ it did take him a while to actually say the words, but he knew he felt it

They are touched starved but aren't comfortable with public display -at least not Jonathan-

They dated secretly for a while

Steve comes over in the middle of the night to visit Jonathan -Joyce knows about it but doesn't comment about it. After a while she does confront him about it, they hug and Joyce tells him that she’ll never stop loving him because ‘being gay doesn't make you less of a person’

They once babysitter the party, the adults had a date night, they took them to the arcade, then to the movies and they ended in the Byers, with a pile of kids in shelving room. Jonathan took a bottle of his mom’s fanciest wine and they made a toast to ‘the best teenage dads ever’ Jonathan laughed so hard Max threw him a pillow, making him fall of his chair and Steve laughed for a minute straight

Their first kiss was during a study session in which Steve learned the term ‘bisexual’

Coming out? They were in church for Easter and this old lady wouldn't stop talking about how gay people are going to hell so of course Stonathan gets tired of her bullshit and get up to leave. Will was the one to ask where they were going, Jonathan turns around with a blank expression and says ‘to hell apparently’ and leaves hand in hand with Steve. The party loses it and starts laughing; Hopper thought it was worth coming after all and Joyce was trying really hard to not get up and clap

They don’t star gaze, too tired for that, instead they cloud watch and hold hands

On Christmas, they wear ugly sweaters and drink hot chocolate while the kids unwrap their presents, of course Steve takes advantage of the mistletoe -which ended in Jopper scolding them, telling them to keep it PG-

“I'm so hungry I’d sell you for a bag of mozzarella sticks” ‘how many in the bag?’ “I don't know like six?” ‘fair enough’

They avoid fighting mainly because Jonathan never answers back

There is a tape they both treasure a lot. It starts with Steve trying to get the camera to work and then pointing it towards himself “and now with crucial news from my boyfriend, Jonathan. Jonathan?” and Jonathan is on the floor just screwing around and he turns and says ‘I'm gay’ and then turns around. The camera re-focuses on Steve and he is trying so hard not to laugh “thank you Jonathan” and hen as the camera is pointing down they break down laughing.

He loves taking pictures of Steve when he isn't looking or when he has a “bad” hair day -as if that was possible-

Joyce and Will watch Jonathan fall in love and one ay Jonathan asks Will “do you think he likes me?” and Will is all like ‘I think he is in love with you’ sips from his drink ‘but that’s none of my business’

He can't take compliments or believe that he is beautiful -he always thinks they’re fake and out of pity- but Steve makes sure to reassure him

He kind of acts as a DJ since he makes the mix tapes for everyone

Jonathan hates dig dug -because he always losses- the one-time Mike and Will dragged him to the arcade he got so frustrated he had to go outside and sit, casually, Lucas, Dustin and Max waved at him before going inside. Steve stayed outside with him made casual chit chat and shared a cigarette

He goes to every single one of Steve’s basketball games, even though he despises sports and doesn't understand them, after they go to Steve’s house and chill on his pool

He once dared Steve to climb a basketball hoop, if he did he’d give him a blowjob, he had never seen anyone climb so fast

He loves being extra so he re-arranged the letters at the movie theater so it read ‘I love you more. . .’

Nancy made him get into the newspaper and he is the photographer

Steve threw rocks to Jane’s room for like a week before Jonathan corrected him

He becomes the new king of the Keg on a senior party

Loves smiley Jonathan and being the cause of his happiness makes his heart swell with happiness / Steve always comforts Jonathan with cuddles and music / Steve isn’t shy when they're alone and leaves lots of hickeys on Jonathan’s shoulders and collarbone / He is super protective of Jonathan and would literally fight anyone -he would also stand up for Will if he needed to because that kid is a fucking blessing- / Steve having big heart eyes for Jonathan while on a photo-shoot, seeing how easy it is for Jonathan to interact with people when he only has to order them around and loving how specific he wants to be with people but with nature he is easy going. After they went to the movies and hold hands inside the bucket of popcorn / He loves seeing and hearing Jonathan ramble about photography or just the pictures themselves. He once tried to take a picture of Jonathan when he was asleep but once he got it the sound woke Jonathan up and he ran around for like 30 minutes with Jonathan behind him yelling ‘STEVE GIVE IT’ and him just giggling and telling him no / Steve loves to compliment Jonathan whenever he wears pretty clothes or does his hair, but honestly he likes Jonathan with whatever he is wearing though he does appreciate the small blushes he gets after each compliment

After the gate is closed Dustin insists that he meets Will and Jane, after all they were his kids too, he goes after lots of bugging and when Jonathan comes home late after work he waves at the party but awkwardly avoids Steve -Dustin pushes him to talk to him- they end up in the kitchen having small talk about the kids and they laugh a little getting comfortable with each other. It gets dark Steve offers to take the kids home and before leaving pats Jonathan on the back -the kids make kissing sounds and faces teasing him about his new boyfriend-

“What you do last night?” Jonathan passes by ‘um…’

‘I don't do jealous’ is jealous™

Seems to have bad -sex- timing always catching the kids in the middle of it and as a friend he yells “use protection” and closes the door with a wink

Makes sure their inside before leaving

Coming back from college? he has a whole day dedicated to the kids and other for his boy

Him and the party? They always go to all of Steve’s basketball games they cheer and support him / They teach him how to play D&D / Learned to cook and now makes snacks for the parties D&D campaigns / on his birthday they give him an award that says ‘#1 babysitter.’ / They call him at college and all scream at the phone -by some miracle he always hears what they each have to say- and he has given them a shirt or sweater from his college and they wear it proudly / They find Steve in a renaissance fair and get bribed with swords to not say a word about it. Jonathan, who was chaperoning them, got bribed with a pickle on a stick and a sword / They always pop up anywhere he is, at first its creepy then it’s just weird for the people who didn’t know the kids, like that one-time Max was passing by on her sk8 board and he had his hand out ready for a high-five and they literally don't have to say anything to each other / When the kids go to college he sends them care packages every month -because he knows how hard it is. He once sent them ‘lazy cakes’ as a concerned momma after reading on the paper what they contained he stopped sending them. The kids still bought them because they helped them sleep

Dustin and him? He always tries to be the parental figure that Dustin never had / “how’s your dad?” ‘don't know, how are you?’ Stuttering “I'm fine” / He repeatedly threatened to wash the boys out with soap if he keeps on cursing / “So do you still have that bat?” ‘Which bat?’ “The one your boyfriend made” probably happened / Dustin tells him about him not getting a date or someone to dance with and his mom instincts turn on “ok listen up dipshits, get Dustin a date and I'll either expose myself or your siblings” ‘ON IT!’

Max and him? Bros, the literal definition of bros / They watch sports together and is her ‘best girl’ she also interrogated Jonathan just like a dad would and Steve did the same with Jane / They also fist pump and high five a lot. He always tries to keep Max as far away from her home as possible and for as long as he can / He acts all upset at Max of getting in a fight at school -she stood up for her friends- but he is actually proud af / He walks Max down the aisle

Lucas and him? They use totally tubular to annoy the others / He is Han and Lucas is Lando / Lucas is kind of his favorite, he just doesn't get in much trouble as the others “Lucas I’m leaving you in charge”

Will and him? Yeah he treats Will like he is made of gold, Will tells him first when he comes out -he wanted to tell Jonathan but he went to the restroom and while he still had confidence he told him- he is also the first one to take Will to his first pride event / He adopts the kid as soon as he is conscious and smiles at him / He loves Will, they met -properly- when Steve goes to the Byers house and he is the only one there. They started singing to ‘should I stay or should I go’ and made a freaking concert with them playing air guitar and having lots of fun / He is the one to fix Will’s hair, he couldn't stand the bowl cut anymore, and laughed at Mike’s face when he saw his boyfriend with a new hairstyle / Cried the first time Will gave him a drawing and hanged it proudly on his dorm / Will tells him about the kids at school who bully him “I’LL FIGT THEM ‘nO- Steve, they are 14 you fight them you'll go to jail’

Jane and him? She is obsessed with his hair and she is super protective of him / always hugs him and he always comforts her when she gets a panic attack / They watch soap operas together, eat popcorn and constantly remind each other which character is which and if he is ever too lazy Jane uses her powers to bring him a soda, they always speculate about who will end up with who/ Always gets piggy back rides from him

Mike and him? Oh, yeah they invented bantering. They fight about everything but it’s always light hearted / He and Mike spend whole afternoons playing with Mike’s figurines / Steve thought him how to drive, he hit the pedal too hard the first time and he screamed in fear every time after that.

He checks a lot on the Byers family -even after Hopper moves in- because the Byers were his family the ones that loved him as he was and didn't get mad when he had to retake his senior year. The ones that welcome him with a warm smile, where he could spend the afternoon with his bf listing to music and doing homework with his brother-in-law and help her mother-in-law to cook or fold laundry, the ones that made sure that he eats properly and he slowly begins to spend more time in the Byers house than on his own. After closing the gate, he shows up in the Byers house with a bucket and broom. He knocks and is answered by one, stressed out, Jonathan who was quote unquote not in the mood for his fuckery. When he cleared that he only wanted to help they started to hang out and get along.

Momma Steve? Steve’s parents coming home “what you do while we were gone?” ‘I became a single father of six’ / he once ditched to see the science fair, his kids totally won, and after he took them for ice cream / Super proud of his kids and takes them with him everywhere / always there when there is a school event / Worried mother mode is the only mode Steve is on when it comes to his children / He uses the time out corner Jopper is all like ‘how does he do that?’ / Fridays he picks them up from school so they can do something / He makes dad jokes / “K, hold hands we are about to cross the street” ‘Steve we are 14 we don't need-’ “did I ask your age? No I said HoLD HANDS.” / He used to have a cooler for beers in his trunk now it’s full of juice boxes, sodas and ice cream / El walks through the door “hi, yeah it’s Steve, yeah Harrington, I'm going to need another copy of adoption papers…yeah another one” / He also adopted Narb “you guys better not be doing what I think you’re doing” ‘we are the same age you can’t tell us what to do’

Babysitting? Yeah he really likes babysitting the party and also because he doesn't trust them alone / He is really protective of them, which is why the party calls him mom or dad just to bug him / Once he tried to cook, it burned, so they ordered pizza, they went to the arcade and they taught him how to play different games, turns out he is good in street fighter, they stop at the video store and rent a R-rated movie, if they promise not to tell their parents -doesn’t matter Karen finds the DVD and just laughs it off- he also burns the popcorn, because the kids didn't wait for him and put the movie, so they snack eggos, he puts them to sleep in the basement, helps lay out the sleeping bags and makes sure to separate the pairs, he then stays with them telling them that he is just making sure they go to bed and don't talk, but he just wants them safe / That one time he babysat Will they spent the day eating junk food, building a fort, drawing, making jokes and playing with Chester, they watch a movie inside the fort. They also make cookies. Steve falls asleep first and Will covers his face with stickers. Jonathan wakes him up laughing but doesn't tell him why he is laughing. He notices until he checks himself in the review mirror / He has a special high five for all the kids

Barncy/Narb Head cannons

Barb doesn’t die, because Nancy saved her, but she has an extreme phobia to water. Nancy obviously is willing to help and after some sessions -in Steve’s pool- they both share an underwater kiss

They’ve been dating for a while but kept it a secret, once Stonathan came out to them, they had double dates with the other -so like fake!Stancy and fake!Jonarb- in the movies the girls sat in the middle then the boys on either side, Narb could cuddle and Stonathan did the cliche ‘yawn and arm’ thing so they could hold hands

Their first time was after a great accomplishment and they were ready for each other, their kisses sparkled something new and it was so soft and sweet. They touched each other in a way they were told only a boy could, but it felt so right

Nancy was the first to say ‘I love you’ but Barb said it right after her, she was just shy to say it first

Their all about the physical contact, by fear of losing the other again

Cuddle and butterfly kisses define them

They get their own little apartment and decorate it in different shades of pink and white

Jopper Head cannons

They start going on dates after the snowball, going on simple coffee dates at first, even sharing a cigarette in their lunch time

Joyce has a terrible habit of flinching anytime someone raises their voice or hand. She never though herself as attractive, but Hopper always makes sure to talk to her softly and always kisses her to comfort her. He also shows her off, even when she thinks she ain’t looking her best

Song? Lucille by little Richard {David Harbor said it not me}

Hopper is actually Jonathan’s real father, they basically had a heated good-bye and Joyce was forced to look for a husband, he confronts her about this after he went to visit his mother and grabbed a picture of him as a baby. He wanted to show it to Joyce so he took it and as he was waiting for Joyce in the living room and he didn’t have anything better to do than roam around. He found the exact same picture but when he asked Joyce about it she says it’s Jonathan. The first time Will calls him dad he went straight to apologizing and tried to make himself smaller, it didn’t matter he still gave the boy the biggest bear hug. When Jonathan called him dad for the first time it’s while introducing him and they leave with Hopper proudly placing an arm around Jonathan’s shoulder. He always tells Joyce before going to sleep about how many times they said it that day, in what tone and he never looses the enthusiasm while speaking. And of course Will and Jonathan are listening.

He is the one to teach Jane how to dance

He trusts Max the most because she seems the most sane, or with the most common sense, of the party
