I had a pet rat as a kid! It was a kindergarten class pet, and no one else would take it home over the summer (and somehow, my mother was always the one getting roped into these shenanigans) anyway, my sibling and I loved it so much, it never moved back to school! I wouldn’t say it was “sweet” like a puppy is sweet, but it was way nicer than the ferrets! And did seem to enjoy being handled by kids more than the hamsters.

See and this is the type of vibe I get from them! Not particularly sweet and cuddly like dogs but not mean like hamsters can be (my brother had one growing up and that little shit was an asshole).

Thank you for the input! I am most definitely NOT thinking of getting one. 👀👀👀
