as a writer, the drop in media literacy/critique skills and disconnect between fiction and reality are just a reason for me to really go in hard on subverting expectations, twisting narrative to lead the reader somewhere they do not expect, making them feel something they might not want to feel

it gets on my nerves when video game reviewers title their video “is ____ worth playing?” and then all they do is play the game for 20 hours and give their personal opinion

like i’m sorry but that’s not an informed opinion, especially if you go into it saying you don’t like how the game is set up and you don’t enjoy the basic elements of the genre

do some research about how the people who play it experience it, what they like about it, etc… like… idk it seems so lazy and half-done
