btw people saying tenn should have died/dying is better than the love interest is lowkey fucking sick
like i was talking to my friend and i said even though he wanted to die in that scene, he was confused and scared; his sister was DYING in front of him and he didn’t know any better
sure, i went back, he’s dead in my main playthrough
but it doesn’t make me feel good that violet is alive. I LITERALLY FEEL TERRIBLE FOR LETTING HIM DIE
In all honesty, I think Luke was a bigger fuck up/liability than Ben, Nick or Sarah ever was.
He drops a wounded child on the ground, than yells at her, felt sorry for a possible imaginary dog than a bleeding child that he just drop on the ground, agreed to lock her up in a shed, asks her (an 11 year old) to take care of his friend who was a grown man, sends her to fight zombies on a bridge with him instead of someone he KNEW, covered up a crime Nick did even though Nick himself wanted to come clean, ditches Clem, Kenny and the cabin crew at the ski lounge when Carver and his thugs attacked, arrives at Howe’s and even though he came to try to help, he sends a little girl to get stupid/worthless walkie-talkies, gets caught, fucks up the plan anyways, Kenny is almost killed because of it and to top it off, he suggest leaving Kenny behind, right in front of Sarita and Clementine’s faces.
It gets even worse when Luke’s little lecture in episode 4 of season 2 was one of the most stupidest, hypocritical, and ignorant things that he’s ever said out his mouth (“I used to think that… that maybe, all the horror hadn’t gotten to you yet… But you watched your friend murder Carver. Not just kill him, but… Clem, you didn’t even blink). For one, Clem DID blink. Two, why didn’t he try to stop her if he was so worried about it then? Three, HE looked at some people’s deaths and didn’t even blink (he didn’t even notice Nick’s first death and he’s his best friend). Four, he really thinks Clementine didn’t go through ALL the horror yet being an 11 year old girl who had to stay out in the cold, go without food or water, sewed up her own arm, get shot in the arm and lost everyone who she has ever loved and cared about (their even DEAD or they left her)? He honestly thought that she wasn’t suffering at all even after the fact that not only she TOLD him all of this in the beginning, but she also had to fend off zombies on her own?
What really puts the nail right in the coffin though is that right after expressing his disappointment in Clem and her behavior, he goes TO HAVE SEX with the other person who is responsible for robbing Arvo, besides Clementine. She’s also the same person who shot off Troy’s cock without even blinking, promotes abandoning the weak and even left her own sister behind, but he still decides to do this? Not to mention that Luke and Jane’s fooling around caused Sarah’s death, considering that it was HIS reasonability to watch out for walkers. Then he tries to justify his actions by saying (he needed it) and cares more about a complete stranger that he just met days ago than his own friend Nick, Sarah and the rest of the cabin crew.
Luke wasn’t anything like Lee, he was a fuck up from the start and a dumbass. The fact that people compared the two all the time and see Luke as Clementine’s 2nd guardian was sickening to me. Luke is overrated.
