the other day with a friend we were imagining how it would be for a hufflepuff to be a death eater, mainly because me (claudia) i’m a hufflepuff who just loves the aesthetic of the death eaters

She is being used to being observed. during her high school years it was because she had the name lestrange; a warning to all who her parents were, because she reminded everyone of a young bellatrix. as a growing adult, it was because she chose to reveal her secret to the world, a secret professor potter decided to tell her on her final year of high school. she used the last name Riddle now; knowing that if her real father was alive, he might not like that she was wearing it as a badge of honor. It was a way to acknowledge who she was but to reject his ideals, to bear the muggle name of her biological grandfather. 

but now, this was different. she isn’t entirely sure she enjoys being here, the grip of a former death eater on her shoulder, she always knew they were still around, lurking in the shadows. She is surprised they still followed their former master even after death; if she didn’t knew it was wrong, she would admire that loyalty. Delphini should escape while she could, the grip isn’t tight and she has her wand close by. her wandless magic was still improving but she could work that aspect perfectly. Yet she stayed; watching just like the rest of them as the moment arrived.

Lord Voldemort was back and she felt her heart beat rapidly, Run her body said , run to Harry Potter and warn him.But her mind let her stay, out of curiosity for the man whose darkness lay inside her; who gave her the uniqueness of speaking with snakes. “Voldemort.” The name is so foreign to her mouth as she looks at the man; she shakes the death eater’s grip from her hand and waits. ”You’re back.” She tries to sound confident but her voice trembles and sounds more like a question. How could this be?

HARRY POTTER MARAUDERS ERA (1/?): James Potter. (Jeremy Irvine)

Often treated poorly by a side of the fandom, James Potter was Harry’s father, Lily’s husband, Sirius and Remus’ best friend. A kind, courageous man who, despite being irresponsible and a bully on his younger years, changed for the best, had a child with the woman he loved and died protecting them both. Harry is often remarked to be extremely similar to his father; glasses and dark hair, as well a tendency to get into trouble. James returned to Harry in the Battle of Hogwarts as a spirit, being by his side as he faced Voldemort.

          There’s a deep frown on his face as he watches her with tired green eyes. Guilt isn’t a new emotion, but it still stings. He quickly steps forward when he sees her start to sway, hand out, ready to catch her.  “Maybe you should sit down.”  He can’t imagine the shock and betrayal she must be feeling, though he is briefly reminded of being a child and finding out that everything he knew about his parents was a lie. The fact that years later he was part of lying to another child struck him hard.  “Best for everyone.”  Of course, there was the fear of her wanting to follow the same path as her father. But there was also the fear that those still loyal to him would seek her out, and those still angry would want revenge. It still didn’t make lying to her right. He looks down at her, expression softening as he shakes his head.  “That is why you can speak parseltongue, but - you’re not him. You weren’t Rodolphus, and you are not Voldemort. This doesn’t change who you are, but you deserve to know the truth.”

She would decline the offer to sit, but her body is already moving forward, hand reaching for the chair and to sit down. Best for everyone. She gets it, there were still those who followed the man’s ideals, even 20 years after his fall. Still, it does bother her that she was kept from knowing who her father was. A part of her is glad she isn’t related to Rodolphus Lestrange. But knowing she is related to the dark lord himself isn’t a consolation. A mad woman and the man she followed to the death. “Why now? Because I’m finishing school?“ Because outside of Hogwarts, it would be easier to get information. The Malfoy’s had done a good care of her over the years, but she figures those around might get suspicious. Green eyes shine bright as she looks at his own; lingering gaze briefly on his scar and her breath gets caught on her throat. Her real father tried to kill him, more than once. “How do you know? I’m not like him?” narcissa had told her once that parseltongue is often associated with dark magic. And Delphini often finds herself lured by it, and how easy it comes for her. “Professor   I enjoy being strong. The power.” She leans on the chair, eyes close as she fight her emotions and her feelings. “Is this going to be public knowledge?”

i know the script said leta said i love you to both theseus and newt but

cinematic language is another thing fam it got me confused. you can agree with me or not but showing newt’ face and then leta saying it, then the two brothers together, not even theseus’ face in a close shot was weird to me.

you can agree or not ofc but i study film and communication and it was weird that they chose those shots as the final product, wouldn't have made sense a two shot of the brothers then leta then again them? or close shot of newt then close shot of theseus and then leta? it was weird choosing newt in a close up then leta saying it and then the two brothers together like an afterthought of like they went 'oh right leta is engaged to theseus'
