Reunited with my old Pokémon

I was reunited with my original copy of Pokémon XD: Gale of Darkness recently, after eight years, and today I checked the memory card which held the data from the game.

Turns out I never transferred my Lugia over, or other cool Pokémon from the game. This will now be a priority!

On June 2nd, after more than eight years, I was reunited with my copy of Pokémon XD: Gale of Darkness. I originally sold this to my friend on April 28th 2015, who kindly gave it back to me after I expressed regret in parting with it originally.

He took good care of it!

Pokémon Battle Revolution

I passed by a local store today and found a copy of Pokémon Battle Revolution! I immediately bought it since it was only £7.50!

I had sold my personal copy many years ago, so I felt like it was worth getting. It was the only other Pokémon game I sold, that I had not repurchased.

Pokémon Mystery Dungeon Red Rescue Team

Saw a copy of Pokémon Mystery Dungeon Red Rescue Team in a shop window today. It was such a good price, I couldn't pass it up.

The previous owner put in so many hours into it and cherished it.

It's kinda sad that they had to give it up, I wonder what the circumstances were?

Pokémon Let's Go Pikachu & Eevee Super Music Complete

I purchased the soundtrack to Let's Go Pikachu & Eevee, and it arrived today in the mail. Aside from Pokémon Black & White (Too expensive), I own every mainline soundtrack! It has three discs, and a booklet that includes concept art and interviews!

Pocket Pikachu

I recently bought a Pocket Pikachu Color, which arrived today. This is an item I always wanted to own, and I am so happy to finally own it!

It's a Japanese version, and came with its original instructions and rope strap. I'd say it's condition was very good considering its age!

Shiny Eternatus Distribution Event Card

Last year, my friend and his brother in Canada kindly went to his local GameStop to pick up a Shiny Eternatus code for me, so I could obtain it for my games. In January he mailed over the physical cards.

It's a nice reminder of the final Sword & Shield event distribution.

Unown Y and Corsola cards

New cards! Today I'm happy to finally add Corsola (Neo Discovery) and Unown Y (Neo Revelation) to my collection. Both sets still require 22 cards each to complete.

With the addition of Corsola, Neo Discovery now only requires rares and holos. Wish me luck…

Pokémon World Magazine

Here's a collection of unofficial Pokémon magazines I used to read as a child called Pokémon World (also known as Pocket World) by Imagine Publishing in the UK. I bought issues 17-42, and I even had a letter featured in Issue 30 of the mag!

They were packed with fan content, letters, art etc. You could tell a lot of love went into them!

Pokémon Battling Coin Game Pouches

Here are two Pokémon Battling Coin Game Pouches on keychains. They were made by Hasbro and released in 1999, and held up to six Battling Coins.

I had to look hard to discover where these were from as I couldn't remember how I obtained them, but likely the same time as the coins.

Pokémon Trading Card Game Dispenser by Hope Industries

Here's my old Pokémon TCG Card Dispenser, made in 1999 by Hope Industries. It would hold a deck of 60 cards and is spring operated. You would push the lever on the side, and a single card would push up through the top. It even had a belt clip so you could carry it around with you.

While I preferred to collect cards, I did have a deck inside this dispenser that included some holo cards, which would almost certainly have received some kind of scratching back then as they were dispensed. It's not something I would use these days, but it's fun to look back on.
