So I have been reading some of your blog and want to ask some question: Was Phil Kelly the one responsible for the retcon of T'au FTL? Or it was Jeremy Vetock who did the retcon. If you think it Phil, is there any evident supporting it? Thank you in advance
Well, I spent a an hour with an old vesa from the Advance Tau Tactica forum, and he thought it was Vetock in 6th edition too. The thing was I only remember folks talking about it around the time of 8th edition. Turns out it was Vetock but we had to dig around the codex to find the information. So, the offensive material is on pages 11-13 of the 6th edition codex. Check Preparing for the Storm on page 13. PS We both agreed the concept of the Tau only have STL drive is broken, no matter who wrote it, and deserves to go out the airlock "as is".

I remember you said that books written by Phil Kelly or “He-who-should-not-be-named” should be avoided, but who is "He-who-should-not-be-named"?
Another alias for Phil Kelly There are also: "Mr P.K." "That Guy" "He-who-should-not-be-named" "Hilpay Ellykay"

This is where you need to ask someone who is Greek or at least Greek Orthodox. This little feature was the way Christian architects would show their disdain for the pagan builders from a prior age. Use the pagan "heads" to set their pillars upon. In other words to intentionally mock the pagans that came before them.

In the colossal, cathedral sized water tank beneath the Hagia Sophia in Istanbul, Turkey, several heads of Medusa have been used as pillar bases for the past 1.500 years. It is not entirely known where the heads came from, but they were believed to be taken from some other Roman ruin. The heads are upside down or sideways to inhibit the power of the Gorgon Medusa's gaze.
The water tank's existence was forgotten for hundreds of years, despite being beneath the Hagia Sophia. When it was rediscovered, explorers found fish inside of it.

O Endyimon My Beloved!
0.096.899M41 Kronus Expanse, Halo Stars, Kronus IV Battle Barge Litania Furia – Litany of Fury
I remember when I first met Endymion he was new to the chapter, a mere scout in the Tenth company and I a veteran. But from the very beginning, I only knew desire for him. His hair was the colour of gold, and his eyes were of such a deep azure that I lost myself in them, making me forget what I had come to tell him. But his shy and delicate encouragement allowed me to find my wayward thoughts again. Only later did I learn he was as taken with me, as I with him. Endymion was and ever shall be, my one true love. Always and forever.
Learn what really happened to Captain Davian Thule on Kronus IV and how he became a Venerable Castraferrum dreadnought.
Read about who was his lifelong nemesis – Shas'O'Kais of the T'au Empire.
Discover the forbidden romance between Captain Davian Thule and Sergeant Ganymede Endymion. Love the way the ancient Hoplites knew it, love between warriors.
Learn about the true origins of the Blood Ravens and who their founders really were.
For all of you, who love Space Marines and big naked superhuman men kissing passionately in the fortress monastery's training halls.
This story is for you! O Endymion My Beloved!

A bhean uasail, ní raibh "ádh na nÉireannach" ort inniu.
Sorry Qsy, but the "luck of the Irish" wasn't with you today. How did you fall for such a blatantly fake meme? Or did you not know that the expression, "Luck of the Irish" was an Irish-American expression? Johnathan Swift (30 November 1667 - 19 October 1745) who died 31 years before the United States was created, and one hundred years before the bulk of the Irish even arrived in America, could not have said this.
Tumblr media
The original phrase was at it's heart racist, anti-immigrant, and colonial. The Irish, as everyone knew at the time, were lazy, drunken fools at best, or violent alcoholics at worst. The only reason they would come to the U.S. was steal the jobs from hard-working Anglo-Saxon Protestant Americans.
Tumblr media
They couldn't possibly succeed on their own merits, so it had to be luck. Hence: "Luck of the Irish".
Tumblr media
The title of this racist cartoon, "The Ignorant Vote - Honors Are Easy". PS This was by the famous German-American artist Thomas Nast of the "Tammy Tiger" fame.
Ádh mór an chéad uair eile, ta tu sexy ealaíontóir na Francach!
