Excerpt
‘I’ll ask again, what’s your name?’ said the Commissar lighting the tabac stick for herself.
‘Sergeant First Class Rokken A. Tamaguchi. Ident number 456-789-22010,’ he replied, looking at the commissar with his one good eye, the other having been glued shut, by dried blood.
‘Unit sergeant?’
The prisoner took in a breath, coughed, and grunted out, ‘2nd Platoon, Bravo Company, 1st Battalion, of the 7th Mu’gulath Bay Regiment.’
‘I guess it takes a commissar to get these traitors to talk, uh ma’am?’ said the sergeant.
The prisoner turned and glared up at the sergeant with his one good eye.
‘Got a problem, heretic? Want a boot up your arse?’ shouted Demin getting ready to kick the prisoner.
‘Hold on, sergeant!’ shouted the commissar with the tabac stick still between her teeth. Getting up, she shooed away the small crowd of guardsmen who were gathered around the prisoner. Then, pulling the sergeant aside, she asked, ‘So, Sergeant, tell me What-the-Throne is going on here?’
The sergeant straightened his back and looking off into the desert said, ‘There was a firefight. We over ran their position. Shot all the survivors, including the wounded. Then two hours later this heretic here…’ Demin pointed at the prisoner. ‘…Comes staggering out of the pile of dead bodies holding his head in his hands. He’s gibber jabbering away in that Blue-fish talk, “Tiki-tak ching-chang-chong oola-la-la!” So we gave him a rifle butt to the stomach, bound his hands, and sat his traitorous backside on the ground.’
‘Did you interrogate him?’
‘We tried. But he just wouldn’t answer. So we gave up, figuring he didn’t speak any Low Gothic.’

Best of the Best an Aeronautica Imperialis series
Summary
The stories of the Best of the Best series are set during the air campaign of the Second Battle of Agrellan, and centre on the exploits of the 918th Thunderbolt Squadron. Each succeeding story will cover a different character or characters within the squadron.
Excerpt
‘Those were our halcyon days. Our golden days of glory and grandeur, when we swept the skies clean of the enemy, far above the hive cities of Agrellan. When we’d cut great swaths out of their aero squadrons, hammering and decimating them, leaving them forlorn and desolate. Days when it seemed that the Emperor of Mankind himself, lifted our wings, granting us victory after victory over the perfidious and treacherous T’au Empire. The memory of those days will forever remain in my heart. But I also remember when it all changed, when the sunset of those golden days finally arrived.’

Hmm why should I not squish you like a bug- Knight Barros of House Sword
Understand you're some kind of monster hunter? Xhmm... sorry to inform you but the Vior'los Settlements (Farsight Enclaves to you perhaps?) belong to the civilized race known as the Tau. We are not the "xenos" the Imperium calls us, but conscious sentient race, wishing to live in peace.
You can come and drink and dine with us!
Come with violence, and you will die.
Goodbye for now Gue'la...

I remember you said that books written by Phil Kelly or “He-who-should-not-be-named” should be avoided, but who is "He-who-should-not-be-named"?

There are also:

Athel Itilcalndîr
Summary:
On a lost Exodite world, the Aledari living there call themselves the Ishahíni, now find their world under attack by a scouting party of the Mon-keigh super soldiers, known as the Adeptus Astartes. Having never encountered them before, they have no idea how to deal with the strangers, but defend their forest world they must.
Excerpt
While the strangers moved in a single file through the trees, hidden in the branches high above was Cûcalndîr, leader of the Nossë na Kurnunos kindred. And whoever these strange beings were, he knew they were intruders in the forest of Athel Itilcalndîr; and it was his kindred’s responsibility to defend their home.
‘Who are they?’ asked Anastarwen in a language only the animals could understand; and in a whisper, only an Aeldari could hear.
‘I do not know for certain, but they appear to be the Losseainn, or “Warriors of Iron”, which the Ranger Bëlinor of Saim-hann spoke of long ago,’ he replied in a whisper equal to hers.

Do you have any facts about the farsight enclave?
There's not much as solid fact about the Farsight Enclaves, as the FSE "codex" had all but one page of "lore". The rest is the dog's breakfast of whatever Phil Kelly vomited up this month. The new Arks of Omen installment was just as paper thin on the lore. Effectively adding nothing but also not subtracting nothing. Still 0 - 0 = 0.
We still have four septs by GW's account, but only one world is inhabitable.
Vior'los: element - Fire, colour - Red
Volcanic jungle world eaten by Tyrranids,
Status: Dead world, uninhabitable
Tinek'la: element - Air, colour - Yellow
Diamond planet i.e. hard rocky core of former gas giant
Status: Death world, high gravity planet, uninhabitable
Salash'hei: element - Water, colour - Blue
Status: Water world, frozen ball of ice, uninhabitable
Lub'grahl: element - Earth, colour - Green
Status: Desert world, inhabitable, but population lives underground?
Note: No where in the said FSE "codex" does it say there is a Gue'vesa (human world) but the map shows a planet called "Gue'vesa'rio"? Oddly, it's in the same exact orbit as Salash'hei. Still no mention is made of this is in the codex. The name itself is a Rogue Trader mash-up of real and pretend Tau words.
Gue'vesa - "Lesser Helper" the Tau'sia word for humans who have joined the T'au Empire.
Rio - ??? This does not exist anywhere in the Tau lexicon.
Ya - This is the Tau'sia word for "sphere" or "planet"
So it should be "Gue'vesa'ya"?
So, when the abomination that is Phil Kelly's "Tau stories" are jettisoned out the airlock, and that's left is paper thin, and not anything to build a world on or... world build.
Guess we'll have to do it...
ourselves!
