After what happened (or the impression of what he thought happened) when Robert picked Bob up from Matty's house, he had several reservations about Bob going back. He didn't know Matty that well as a person, because Mags tends to hold her club meetings when Robert was out, which did not help his suspicions in the slightest.

He didn't want to think that someone his wife would consider a friend, enough to watch over their child, would get distracted in certain activities in a way that would render them unable to supervise those in their care, but that was what he was left thinking. He talked to Mags about it at length the next day, and she reassured him that Matty is definitely a responsible Sim, he has an infant of his own, after all.

And while that doesn't necessarily prove anything, he was willing to give Matty and his family a second chance.

It would have been worthwhile if Robert had asked Bob how he feels about Matty, since Bob is occasionally at home when Mags is hosting the club meetings. He's sort of friends with Matty, in the way that a child can be friends with a coworker of their parents. Matty probably thinks that Bob is a "good kid", or something like that.

Bob had a pretty good day with Matty's family, and was able to get to know another member of the family. He's not entirely sure how they are all connected, but it probably has to do with a previous wife of Matty's being killed by Neighborhood Stories, and then being entirely wiped from the family tree. That's just his hunch though.

When Robert came to pick Bob up, this time there was not a suspiciously sweaty man to greet him, but a inexplicably shirtless man, who no one reacted to. Baby steps.

Also, quick sidenote, at some point during all of this, Billie aged up from a puppy, and here's what she looks like now:

I was actually really excited for her to age up, because she's hairy, but you can't brush puppies, so every so often she'd lick herself and a huge clump of fur would pop up, but now I can have someone brush her (I usually do it once a day at least), and now I have no more hair clumps.

I did not take nearly as many picture of puppy-Billie as I thought I was going to, so here's a cute farewell to Billie's tiny puppyhood:

In other news, it was Spooky Day, which really only reminded me how it's disappointing that the children in your household can't go trick or treating, especially because the child Sims really like that aspect of the holiday. Idk what the thought process of that was, but Bob got to dress up as Yoda. Robert and Mags also dressed up, as an astronaut and a mailperson, respectively.

Bob has been able to make friends through all the switcharoos and whatnot, and I'm honestly really happy for him. I don't even have anything more to say about it, I just like that he has friends.

Robert is also doing better for himself (and his family) by earning a promotion! He was very excited about it, and shared the news with really anyone he came across, including the people in Powerhouse.

All under the full body outfit. I don’t know what modest fashion look like in the western world, but these kinds of look are definitely trending here. Except that we wear 3 to 5 size bigger/looser. Not really my style tbh, but I tried wearing one dress just like the one in the center for the first time (borrowed one from my sister). it was literally an awesome experience. you can feel the wind ripples through the loose dress and cools your armpit lol. It’s always very hot here, so I understand why people love wearing overly oversize dresses.

I’ve noticed a lack of formal, stylish, modest clothes for our Sims, and I wanted to move towards filling that gap! I referenced different religious and cultural modesty standards and chatted with a few people (thanks @faeriepxls!) so there’s some variation in the definition of modest, but every item covers from below the knees to well above the cleavage and some part of the arms. I hope you enjoy!

Recolors:

City Living headwrap (City Living required) in 24 swatches of the Rustic Romance palette and white in different variations (white beads on colored scarf, colored beads on white scarf)

Hijab by @candysims4 (MESH REQUIRED) in the same 24 swatches as the headwrap

Accessory turtleneck by @deetron-sims (MESH REQUIRED) in the same 25 swatches as the dresses, for modest-ifying other dresses (shown with a dress from the Rustic Romance pack above)

Fixed Plasticbox Fashionista Wardrobe

Plasticbox made a two tile edit of the Fashionista Wardrobe from Get Together, but it broke in the window update.
