“I’m surrounded by idiots.” probs about ft tbh
She almost had to laugh at that statement, and she would have had it not been so painfully true. A glance to the left, catching eye of a certain salmon haired dragon slayer, once again being... Natsu. She didn’t even want to think of what that entailed, if she were being honest with herself. She would then lean back, moving to place arms behind her, bearing the whole top half of her weight on them as she leaned back into them and legs crossing at ankles as she stretched them out on beach chair.
Instead of laugher, she would give a sigh -- it seemed things like this were becoming more and more frequent, and it left her wondering what it would be like someplace else. A thought that she normally just pushed aside, for favor of remembering all the good things that happened.
She, of course, had to look away when it had been the third time that Lucy had scolded Natsu for his antics that she felt less than humorous.
“I have to admit -- I find Lucys efforts at containing herself valiant. I, for one, would have dyed the pool red with bloodshed from Dragon Slayer body long ago.”

“I’m surrounded by idiots.”
“It’s not right for a woman to read. Soon she starts getting ideas… and thinking.”
“Do you trust me?”
“He touched the butt.”
“Remember, laughter is 10 times more powerful than screams.”
“Can you feel the things I feel right now with you?”
“I don’t hate you. I’m just mad.”
“Thanks for the adventure. Now, go have one of your own.”
“My dream wouldn’t be complete without you in it.”
“You’ll be in my heart from this day on, now, and forever more.”
“I’m like a shooting star, I’ve come so far. I can’t go back to where I used to be.”
“When you lose someone you love, they never really leave you. They move into a special place in your heart.”
“If everybody were like everybody else, how boring it would be.”
“The problem is you. You place your own feelings above everything.”
“This is awkward. Not you’re awkward, but just because I’m awkward. You’re gorgeous. Wait, what?”
“I knew it. Why did you lie to me? Did you think I was stupid that I wouldn’t figure it out?”
“You never know what you’ll find until you try a little something new.”
“He loves me. He loves me a lot. He loves me. He loves me even more.”
“I wasn’t worried at all, except for the part where I was worried, of course.”
“Never say goodbye, because saying goodbye means going away, and going away means forgetting.”
“When the morning comes and the sun begins to rise, I will lose you because it’s just a dream.”
“He would never do anything to hurt me.”
“He’s a guy.”
“Something feels funny. I must be thinking too hard.”
“Don’t leave me, okay?”
“Love is an open door. Life can be so much more with you.”
“You won’t forget me, will you?”
“I give myself very good advice, but I very seldom follow it.”
“Think, think, think, think. I’m thinking about what to think about.”
“I don’t even know what love is.”
“You know, you don’t talk very much. I like you.”
“People always do crazy things when they’re in love.”
“You said you’d always be there for me, but you’re not. And it’s because of me. It’s my fault.”
“I know it is, because when I look at you, I can feel it. And I look at you, and I’m home.”
“Nothing was ever accomplished with tears.”
“You really can’t judge things by the way they look.”
“Show a friend how much you care.”
“Tell _______ - she’s very lucky… to have a friend like you.
“Excited to live with you, and laugh with you, and cry with you.”
“Maybe she’s just not the one for you.”
“That’s what I’m afraid of.
“Never leave a friend behind.”
“I love you very much, dear.”
“I love you more.”
“I love you most.”
You don’t have to understand. You just have to believe.“
“I’m not crazy. My reality is just different than yours.”
“Life is too short to wear boring shoes.”
“Just change your perspective, your point of view. The magic of your dreams is right inside of you.”
“I love it. I could kiss you! I could, I mean I’d like to. May I? We me. I mean, may we?”
“I feel that there really is another way, and then I feel that perhaps there isn’t.”
“Things aren’t always what they seem.”
“Love? Just a boy, meeting a girl under the right conditions.”
“He takes me in his arms, and then I wake up. Yes, it’s only in my dreams.”
“Never underestimate the power of a good hug.”
“If you can’t say something nice, don’t say nothing at all.”
“It’s nice to be important, but it’s important to be nice.”
“My mom will make everything okay.”
“You’re the one. It was you all the time.
“A dream is a wish your heart make.”
“You think I’m an ignorant savage.”
“How can there be so much that you don’t know?”
“You think you own whatever land you land on.”
“The Earth is just a dead thing you can claim.”
“You’ll learn things you never knew you never knew.”
“Have you ever heard the wolf cry to the blue corn moon?”
“I couldn’t care less what she’ll wear, or what she looks like.”
“How about a girl who’s got a brain?”
“He thinks he’s such a lady killer.”
“Yeah, the only girl who loves him is his mother.”
“Some things never change.”
“Are you sure this water’s sanitary? It looks questionable to me.”
“Look inside yourself. You are more than what you have become.”
“Oo De Lally!!”
“Sometimes the right path is not the easiest.”
“If your heart is in your dream, no request is too extreme.”
“Slimy, yet satisfying… Tastes like chicken.”
“The human world is a mess.”

Headcanon || Childhood & History
Born in Western Earthland into a country called Visigoth, Lakis family was one of noble standing. Her father, Fetu Olietta, was born into the Royal Army of King and Queen Visigoth, and served as the first captain of the Royal Army from age 12 until his death. His own father served, and his mother was a lady in waiting, princess at the time of his serving. Similarly, Fetu was assigned to protect the daughter of King and Queen Visigoth: a young woman, aged seventeen, by the name and title of Princess Sefina Visigoth. At the time, security was high, as threats to their country were very prominent, as war was something that was not uncommon. Neither of them expected to fall in love with the other, and they had what was a forbidden romance. While Sefinas parents meant well, they did not approve of their daughter falling in love with a soldier, for they had already promised her to another. A sort of joining of the countries of Visigoth and Gepids, in an attempt to cool down the tensions between two of the warring countries. With Sefina married to the Prince of Gepids, Prince Adalbert Gepids II, it would allow for the two countries to both share resources and to build a strong alliance should weapons need to be brought out.
However, neither set of Royals were happy when Sefina and Fetu eloped, marrying in a country that neither had to do with, and when they returned, Sefina was already pregnant with her first child: a daughter, who would be brought into the world as Lakielle Olietta. There was still hope, to form an alliance, though, and that hope was to marry off the baby girl when she became of age to the man that was originally supposed to marry Sefina, and though it would take significantly longer, both parties agreed to such, and they would groom the child from a young age to be a perfect wife and mother, as well as educate her on proper etiquette of a Queen.
Though, as she grew older, even from a young age, she knew that she wanted little to do with that lifestyle. Nevermind the fact that even at age six, when she learned of it, the idea of marrying a man well over twice her age gave her incredibly bad vibes. Though, her grandparents would do everything in their power to assure that things did not go as they had with Lakis parents, and despite their constant spending time with Laki, neither of them wanted much else to do with her. She was a reminder of their failures to them, and a constant berating of the girl, it was never given room for grey area of how her grandparents felt about her.
As the years went on, Laki excelled in both her schooling and her etiquette practice, and at the young age of nine, she had begun to learn maker magic, a tool that would assist in many ways, specifically Wood Make Magic, the same magic her mother used, mastering many languages at a young age, but it wound up being too much for her parents. They couldn’t stand the thought of their daughters future being mapped out for her, and thus a plan was hatched. The idea of being away from their little girl was terrifying, but not any more than being forced into a marriage that she wanted nothing to do with was to Laki, and thus they would deliver her to one of their only allies in a country on the other side of the continent: a woman named Carlotta Ackerman, a maker magic mage located in Hargon, who specialized in using her magic to sell decorative plants to sustain herself.
Once Laki arrived, the woman immediately put the girl to work, helping her learn the language spoken, as it was one of the languages that she had not learned in her schooling, praising her when she was correct, and reprimanding her when need be. However, Laki still didn’t fully understand why she had to leave the lap of luxury, and her loving parents, to live with a woman she had never even heard of. Laki was immediately distrustful, and it took her years to open up to the woman, and to learn exactly why she was there.
It was at age ten that Laki had joined Fairy Tail, after immediately taking an interest in improving her magic. Carlotta was quick to tell the girl about guilds, and how they were the perfect place to do so. Being an elderly woman, there wasn’t too much that she could teach her that her parents already had not, and while Laki already had a good grip on her magic, it wasn’t easy for her to control it, nor to do what she wanted all the time with it. There wasn’t anything about Fairy Tail specifically that had caught her eye, it just happened to be the closest guild to her, and for several years, until she was old enough to live on her own, she merely travelled to and from the cottage that Carlotta lived in to go to the guild each day.
