Part 10 of my Canon Rdr2 Horses - Sturmwind

Sturmwind is my fast girl for whenever I am not doing quests and even tho I never liked the Brindle Thoroughbred during my first time in the game I really love her now.

Her name is german, Sturm being our word for storm so her name is in fact stormwind. Not the most complex name I know but don't blame me, blame the author of my favorite kids book. He named the horse the main character has to save Sturmwind and 12 year old me thought that was such a cool name. When I had to name this horse I thought sure lets name her after that book.

Now as you might know this is not a horse you can get in the wild and yetI got her not from the stable. In fact I got her even before I unlocked her in the stables.

You know this lovely NPC lady that challenges you to a race in the south of Lemonye? Yeah, that was her horse. When she challenged me I was sitting on Zorro, my shire (Part 8) and she beat me and I was just gonna go sulk when I noticed what horse she was riding. Quick check in the guide and yeah this is a horse that can hold the speed of the arabians, no problem. So I stole it. Don't worry I didn't harm the nice lady, I pulled her off with my lasso jumped on the horse and rode off. Boy was that mare nervous for quite a while but now that we are fully bonded for almost two chapters nothing can stop us! (Also the nice lady spawned the next time with the same horse again so she is fine!)

Ladies and gentlemen, if the director intended to film McCulley's novel (and then it was a film adaptation we were talking about), then he needed an actor who would look both convincing in the role of a bandit and in the role of young man who would look beautiful in petticoats :) Good film adaptation, in my humble opinion, should convey spirit of the novel, even if a book plot is somewhat different from a movie one.

For the first time, Zorro appears unexpectedly for viewers, and the first three scenes with him are short and without background (we are not told how Diego came up with the image of Zorro, where his lair is located, etc.). This can be explained by the lack of screen time, but, on the other hand, it emphasizes the "ghostly" nature of Zorro.

This Zorro comes upon you like a graveyard ghost and like a ghost he disappears.

First appearance. I would like to note the elegance of the rider and the successful choice of a black stallion. Of course, this is a matter of taste, but this Zorro looks daring and, more importantly, he looks more like a vengeful spirit than a man. It's midday, hot in a village-like pueblo, dusty soldiers—and suddenly, out of nowhere, a man in black appears, an elusive man in a mask.

Second appearance. This time, Zorro looks exactly like a bandit and acts like a bandit: his face is hidden by a scarf, he intimidates the Alcalde and his wife, robs them (even takes Inez’s necklace), after which, grinning, he rides away. It is unlikely that Diego could have acted reallyignoblely, but, be that as it may, in this scene he doesn't spare the corrupt Alcalde and his depraved wife. El Zorro is dangerous, ironic, vicious.

Third appearance. Zorro (again in a mask) appears in the Alcalde's office to tell him that he must leave for Spain, and Don Alejandro Vega must take his previous position.

In addition to the beautiful candlesticks and nice embroidery on the Alcalde's suit (ha-ha), I'd like to note the excellent operator's work. The beginning of this scene is reminiscent of films of the suspense genre or even mystic horror movies: a candle is extinguished, a man in black appears from the shadows, and then disappears into them. (For the first time, I'm glad that I'm watching the original black and white version, and I am able to fully appreciate the creepy impression that Zorro produces when he wants to. Perhaps this kind of suspense was irrevocably gone along with the Golden Age of Hollywood...)

It took a minute but all 6 of my horses are fully upgraded in ‘Tears Of The Kingdom’. 5 star stats in strength, speed, stamina and pull. And bond is max for all of them as well. I do also have Epona from the Link Super Smash Bros. Series amiibo but you can’t upgrade her stats at all. She stays at 4 star stats.

Some of these horses are carried over from ‘Breath Of The Wild’. I think only Golden and Spot are from ‘TOTK’ but I honestly can’t remember. I know Argo was my first horse that I ever registered and there was a side quest in ‘BOTW’ to get her. She carried over. She was just called Zelda’s Royal Horse until I renamed her to Argo from ‘Xena: Warrior Princess. The other names come from ‘The Mask Of Zorro’, and ‘Shadow Of The Colossus’. A good set of horses! ☺️

Now I never have to see that creepy horse god again.

If you would like me to write a walkthrough on how to upgrade your horses’ stats in ‘Tears Of The Kindgom’ and the ingredients for cooking the dishes to give to Malanya please drop me a comment below or in DMs. It’s an expensive and arduous grind but worth it if you like riding around on different horses in this game.

I’m waiting for Nintendo to add a DLC addition mechanic that allows you to transport your horse with you like they had for the DLC additions in ‘Breath Of The Wild’ because it’s very frustrating to have to travel back to where you last left your horse because it won’t come when you whistle if it’s long distance. Like Revali’s Gale, it’s a quality of life feature I miss. I don’t see why we can’t have that in this game when we still have the travel medallion. 3 of them, in fact. The creators will likely give us the crap that it will break the lore because that’s Sheikah technology and not Zonai technology. Well, so is the travel medallion! Dude,… I just want a way to travel on my horse all over the map without backtracking or visiting a stable. It’s not much to ask. And we got it in the last game so…

What book are you currently reading? Reading and re-reading Symposium and Ion for a uni thing lol

What’s your favorite movie you saw in theaters this year? Argentina, 1985. If you haven’t seen it, well, what are you waiting for?

What do you usually wear? during summer, shorts, cotton t-shirts and I tend to go barefoot unless I need to go out (then I wear flipflops if it’s a short distance and trainers if it’s more than one or two blocks)

How tall are you? 1.60cm

What’s your Star Sign? Do you share a birthday with a celebrity or a historical event? Libra and no that I know of.

Do you go by your name or a nick-name? Name! (I mean, nickname on the internet, but real life? Name, never really had a nickname that stuck)

Did you grow up to become what you wanted to be when you were a child? I don’t really remember if I wanted to be something in particular as a child. I wanted to be a writer at 12 but it’s not like I can’t become a writer any time I want (even if not a successful one). I wanted to be Zorro/Diego de la Vega when I was very little but I don’t know how to ride a horse, how to sword fight or how to play the guitar so 🤷‍♂️ on the other hand, a friend told me I grew up to be inclined towards the arts which is kinda a parallel to guitar playing so we’ll say I succeeded lol. But really, I never had a set idea of what I wanted to be which was great when I began getting interested in painting and drawing. I still would love to write my own books, but I have time for that

Are you in a relationship? If not, who is your crush if you have one? Nope and I don’t have a crush lol

What’s something you’re good at vs. something you’re bad at? Well, I’m good at art! :D but I’m pretty bad at maths which made my life kinda hard during highschool ;;w;;

If you draw/write, or create in any way, what’s your favorite picture/favorite line/favorite etc. from something you created this year?  Well, last year since 2023 just began and I have plenty of time to draw things but I think I would say my WC drawings of the players Dibu, Messi and Julián (I plan to do the rest too!)

What’s something you would like to create content for? I tend to create content for things I like, I don’t think I’ve ever been stopped from doing so

What’s something you’re currently obsessed with? The 2022 World cup ⭐⭐⭐

What’s something you were excited about that turned out to be disappointing this year? Again, I’m using 2022 for this one and I don’t think I can’t seriously say anything that I was looking forwards to disappointed me :)

What’s a hidden talent of yours? Hmm, I don’t know, I’m not always good at recognising these things. Maybe selling things? People say that the way I explain things to sell them gets the interested in the thing I’m selling (like a book or things like that) but I don’t know. Or maybe the way I interact with people? I tend to be a hermit at university (the building is horrible and I like to go home fast) so when I go to a social gathering it tends to surprise people that I’m fun to talk to? Idk

Do you tend to speed when you drive? Not on purpose, but it definitely happens. We have a lot of roads round here that go from 40 to 30 then back again in a short space of time and it’s easy to lose track lol.

Do you smoke cigarettes? Not anymore, but I did smoke occasionally as a student.

Does your temper flare a lot? I wouldn’t say so, but I am easily irritated.

Do you get emotional easily? Yes. Not outwardly, though.

Do you get obnoxious when you’re drunk? No, I don’t think so.

Which shoe goes on first? Whichever is closest I think.

Are you lazy? No. I enjoy lazy days and downtime but not at the expense of getting stuff done. I still walk the dog, do housework and keep the house clean etc.

Name one thing you do that people always tell you about. Talk to animals like they’re people.

Are you superstitious? No.

Do you get bored with relationships quickly? No.

Can you sleep without blankets covering you? I CAN, but I’d never choose to. I love being covered and feeling cosy under blankets.

What position do you sleep in? Normally curled up on my side, but sometimes I sleep on my back.

What do you do when you’re angry? Rant, or shut down, depending on the situation.

What do you do when you’re sad? Cry, wallow, watch sad films or listen to sad music.

Who do you call when you have a bad day? My mum.

What was the best vacation you’ve ever been on? All our skiing trips to Canada or the holidays we took to Italy.

Have you ever hit a squirrel when you were driving? Hmm, probably. They just run out into the road and it’s safer to keep going than it is to stop or try and swerve them.

Did your car ever break down? No, I’ve had a couple of flat tyres but otherwise I’ve been pretty lucky.

What’s your favorite thing to do on the weekend? Horse ride, sleep, watch TV, relax.

What radio station do you listen to most often? Radio One.

I have some pivotal news.

Some of you may remember around this time last year, I needed emergency surgery to remove an intestinal blockage. This, and the resulting 2 months in the hospital nearly killed me and ended this story.

In the year that has passed, I have developed a complicated hernia, which means another surgery is up ahead. I will be getting my CT scan at the end of April and I imagine things will move very quickly from there. My goal leading up to this is to play and gather as much of the game as I can so that while I am in the hospital, I have something to be creative with, data to play around with and ultimately keep my mental health going through the recovery process.

And, should the worst happen, and this blog become lost to time from my passing, ending with Vulcan is very beautiful. I'm happy he got the rest of his days in ambiguity.

More updates will come as I am able.

Some things I wanted to leave this generation on.

Brandy Bailey would have inherited Thorne Bailey's mansion had she not decided to go to space before discovering it. When Thorne adopted her, he was living in a senior living home in Strangerville, so she signed the mansion over to Vesper and Grace.

Vesper and Grace moved into the mansion in Del Sol Valley, bringing their boyfriend and not boyfriend with them. Zorro is probably very excited to meet Devante.

Side Story: Never Been Bitten. Coming Soon Fortune Nebula has found sanctuary for her crimes against Strangerville in Forgotten Hollow. She lives within the hallowed walls of the Vampire Nexus with her father Caleb Vatore and the other members of the vampire council. Her name has been changed to Nemo Vatore to reflect the transition and she has forsaken her claim to the inheritance. She has dreams of being a journalist but can only live in Forgotten Hollow until either she finds true love, or Vulcan passes away. She is allowed to leave and visit other places, but while she is in worlds that aren't protected by the moon, she will not be protected by Salem and must return to the Hollow by midnight.

She has begun studying vampires, and werewolves and incorporating alchemy into her love of mixology. She's convinced there's a mystery around all the vampires dying, her mother having been one of them and she wants to find the truth of who, or what is the culprit. What she finds might just be the power she needs. This side story comes with the warning of blood and death subject matter, vampires, and possibly vampire hunting.

And finally,

The chosen heir, *drumroll*

Lucy Nebula. She has moved to San Myshuno and joined a punk band. As the representative of my personal interpretation of Venus, Lucy is likely to find herself in situations of excess, specifically drinking / party drugs. I don't plan on using specific names (or using it in a picture very often) but common associated symptoms may get described in the story arcs that follow. Knowing that I will not take it personally if you choose to unfollow me for your own sake. I do my best to keep suggestive things hidden under cuts with warnings, but I'm not perfect, which is why I'm posting it now. There will also be some exploring of punk / anarchist themes and using lots of music.

I appreciate all the notes. I know it's silly and this is only the beginning of generation three, but this is the furthest I've ever gotten in a legacy. I've done new simblrs over and over again for years changing around how I edit and playing with how I write, and I'm very honored to see this blog growing the way that it has. People interested in reading the story that me and my silly little video game are writing together. I'm happy you're all along on this ride with me, and if this should be the last stop, know that you were a part of the best years of my life. Which is saying a lot. Thank you.

Have you guys ever seen something your fave actor does and thought "that is the most quintessential (actor's zodiac sign) you could do!" or am I the only one hyper-sensible and mass-media fed in this side of tumblr????

Examples:

Ronen Rubinstein aligning himself with the mermaids and water goes so entirely well with him being Scorpio, a water sign and a sign that is recognized for being so sexually forward (like mermaids).

Jeremy Irvine (a Gemini) helping his fans with their homework by responding questions regarding science in his IG during the pandemic, with Gemini being a sign known for it's intelligence.

Tom Holland (another Gemini) playing the role of the first defendant found not guilty due to "multiple personalities". Where Gemini are known for being duplicitous.

Taz Skylar being all about adventure, exploring and extreme sports... it's the most Sagittarius thing as this is the sign known for it's impulsiveness, it's brash demeanor and their desire to travel and explore.

Diego Tinoco opening up a school for acting to teach others the tricks he's learned at his young age... it's again the most Sagittarius thing, as Chiron is the "Hero's Teacher" in Myth.

This whole photoshoot with Miguel Bernardeau where he is riding Tornado, the horse that was his co-star in Zorro. Who also is a character known for his rebellious energy against authoritarianism, which are all traits of a Sagittarius.

And I could go on but I think I made my point.
