Hold on. I'm watching the grumps play TotK and they just got the Zora armor from Yona and it just hit me that it was probably on purpose that they got Sidons fiance to give link the armor... Since historically it's used to essentially be like an engagement ring. Botw link gets his armor from mipha who it's pretty strongly implied he was in a relationship with... and now TotK link is getting the armor from the lady going to marry his BFF Sidon. I just think that's a neat piece world building/significant call back.

Also if you're into the poly throuple of link, sidon, and Yona... Then here's some extra canon evidence of Yona including link in her and Sidons marriage lol

Okay, so, this is just me looking at what is mentioned in Creating a Champion and making connections or a theory. This isn't necessarily the case but I find it to be a fascinating (and... slightly awkward, if true) idea.

So, Creating a Champion says that the Zora armor is mainly made up from... dragon scales.

So, potentially, the Zora armor has, along with possibly scales of Dinraal, Naydra, and Farosh... Light Dragon scales. And nobody knew

Here’s my design for Model L Sidon

I tried to incorporate elements from the armor that regular Zora wear as well as Fairy Leviathan and Thetis’ Model L armor.

I used a Zora Spear as his weapon as at the point in the story where he megamerges, Sidon wouldn’t have had his sister’s trident on him.

At least, not yet.

The top images are the Sacred Flames of Farore, Nayru and Din from LoZ Skyward Sword. While the bottom images are of Link from LoZ Twilight Princess, after winning each boss temple fight and getting each of the three parts of the Fused Shadow. (I think that Link looks good in his Zora Armor.)
