You smile when Zach opens the car door for you, mumbling a little thank you as you take his extended hand. He gives you a little kiss on the back of your hand, the heat in your cheeks not failing to rise.

Zach's arm wraps around your shoulders and you rest your head on his shoulder, both of you sitting in comfortable silence as you watch the sun slowly slump down.

"This place reminds me so much of you," he whispers, not wanting to ruin the serene moment you both are sharing.

You look up to him, an expectant glint in your eye. "Why's that?" You ask him.

"Because," he takes in a deep breathe, "each time I look at this sunset, watching the day slowly slip into the night, I realise how extremely lucky I am to have someone like you with me. I spend my days thinking about you, being with you, and I take this moment to understand how grateful I am to have you by my side. This, this beauty in front of us," he shifts his head towards you, "it reminds me of you. Of your beauty, and how perfect you are, just like this sunset,"

You swear you could've started sobbing at that moment. You need a moment to realise this is all real; you are sitting with a boy who makes you feel so special, gives you all the love you could've asked for. Relationships aren't meant to make you feel bad, or ignored. They are supposed to make you feel loved.

"Zach," you say softly, taking his hand in yours and pressing a kiss to his knuckles, "you mean so much to me. Everything you do, it all means the whole world to me. No one's ever done that to me before, Zach, no one. I didn't know I can ever feel so special,"

"That's the least I can do for you," he presses a kiss to your hairline. "I love you so much, bub, so so much,"

You smile softly, taking his face in your hands and pressing a kiss to his lips, trying to convey all your love through this gesture.

"I love you more."

Like they're literally married. Out of all the Mau ships I think Zoeymau has the most actually solid content that isn't explicitly meant to be "shipping content." Y'know how every time there's a Garmau moment, it's a moment? The whole story stops so these two can have a romantic interaction, and while it effects the story, it does kind of interrupt it sometimes. And this goes for Laurmau and Aarmau, the whole point of them interacting is to build up this romantic tension between her and whichever guard she's seducing this time.

Zoeymau doesn't have that problem. It's all just there in the story and it doesn't interrupt anything. Zoey clearly cares for Aphmau, and it gets deeper and deeper as time goes on. I mean, you could say "Oh she just moved into Aphmau's house because she didn't have one and wanted to help care for Levin cause she likes taking care of kids." But why would you say that when the answer of "Zoey is in love with her and wants to live the dream of having a family with her" is RIGHT THERE!!

It's not in your face romantic content like it is with the others, it's definitely more subtle, but the love these two have for each other is there. So much so that whenever I write them, I don't even think about them being romantic with one another, they just are. It's natural for them to be around one another and it's no wonder. I mean, if you had an immortal bisexual living in your basement who takes care of your adopted kids, you're telling me you wouldn't kiss her??

And I'll be 100% honest with you, I don't think Zoey would have given up her immortality for anyone else in the group. She did that for Aphmau and Aphmau alone. These two are so gay and so in love it's not even funny. I love them sm.

They absolutely do! Dixie's and Emilio's dreams subconsciously lead them to meet, to battle in the final fight. Franklin and Maude (two immortals!) found each other from across the country in the middle right in Chalk Mountain, Texas because Maude dreamt of crows and Franklin dreamt of jewels.

Not everything is super deep, life's fate, destiny kind of stuff, though. Sometimes it's mundane things like "don't forget to put on pants" or "you're dehydrated, idiot, drink some water"

You’re sitting in your bed, your focus completely towards your book as you flip page by page and move further into the story. In your bathroom, you can hear the shower running as your boyfriend is inside, taking a shower.

Your focus is way too deep in your book, you don’t even realize when the bathroom door has opened and Zach has walked out, only a towel wrapped around his waist; some water droplets trickling down his skin and some falling from his hair.

He’s putting on some clothes, and here you are, on your bed, not having a single idea what sight you’re missing out on as the mystery of the story has consumed you completely.

Zach has now worn a t-shirt and some sweats and is sitting next to you in your bed.

“Hey,” he mumbles, kissing your cheek. You only hum as your response, having to go over a line again because you missed it.

He sits there for a moment in silence, watching you look so peaceful as you’re lost in your book, but subsequently also craving your attention.

“Move your blanket. I wanna lay down in your lap,” he says. Your brain only registers the words ��move’ and ‘blanket’, so with one hand holding the book, your other hand picks the blanket off your lap and pushes it aside. Zach immediately lays his head in your lap, and as a reflex, your hand gets lost in his hair, all while you’re reading your book.

“Your hair is really soft after you wash it,” you finally say something, something which isn't just a sound from your mouth. Zach smiles at your words, and feels his eyes close as the circular motions of your hand on his scalp starts to get to him sleepy.
