😊😊😊So after a couple of hours last night into the tiling, I realised it 'looked' good enough but there was something missing. It wouldn't work out. So I totalled nearly everything and began again. Keeping the integrity of the original geometry, I cut out the whole 'net' and will be coloring it in with accent of dull gold . Diminution and augmentation. Chalky greys and distressed blacks. Unusual color palette for me but I these colors have been an act of cleansing myself. Resurfacing and also focusing on the plane symmetry of things. A part of this that I had planned did not pan out because as I was building, I saw another design develop underneath which was more complex yet simple, and so I did that. SWIPE TO SEE construction. I was so intrigued by the possibility of turning this into a structure that I didn't focus too much on recording the process. Then for a while I was stuck at the pattern negatives. The final design(see previous post) is the actual harmonious version but this one (center missing) just interested me. The whole thing looks like a multitiered futuristic building with a courtyard in the center. The broken hexagons and kites in the center boudaries beckon to be closed but instead open there arms waiting to be embraced back...waiting.
