"If You Don't Get A Move On You're Going To Miss It!"
Monday 10th May 2021
Hello again folks! I'm back again with another post. I just want to recap on Thursday's and Friday's episode and applaud the phenomenal performance from Lorraine Stanley! Her portrayal of Karen Taylor has been absolutely stunning and powerful over the last few weeks during Bailey's disappearance and during the aftermath of her losing her job at the laundrette. I do also want to mention how the community and neighbours rallied round her to support their friend and neighbour in their time of need. I found completely touching and was overwhelmingly powerful.
But regarding this week, it's the week the majority of us have all been waiting for since Ben and Callum got engaged! This is the week of the highly anticipated Ballum wedding! Now the big question is, will Ben meet Callum at the alter after he's learnt the truth about him being a grass! (From what the new trailer is to go by, Ben does actually decide to marry Callum) - but oh my goodness, it looks like we're in for some super dramatic scenes this week! For those of you who haven't seen the trailer yet, where have you been? Gray is once manipulating Whitney in to believing that the Mitchell's (particularly Ben) are to blame for Kush's death.
But as Whitney’s grief gets the better of her, she takes it into her own hands to deal with the Mitchell's once and for all, taking a pair of keys, getting into a car and heading straight for them. As this is happening, Phil happens to have learnt the truth about Callum grassing up his family and is eager to have a confrontation with Callum himself, but as Kat tries her best to stop Phil from making a huge mistake - Phil, Callum, Ben and Kat all get caught in the headlights of Whitney's car - who will she hit? And will they be okay?! - I know a few are speculating that it could be Callum or Ben who gets hit, or even Whitney herself getting hurt, but honestly - my biggest fear is Phil getting hurt. Don't get me wrong I love all these characters to appear to be in the frame, but I would be immensely heartbroken if it was Phil to get hurt and possibly be killed off? Hopefully none of them will get killed off - but what are your predictions? I'd love to hear your thoughts on this one!
--
So looking at Monday's episode and of course it's all about Ballum!!! But before we focus on the main event I'm going to mention Bailey. Sadly she is still sleeping rough after running away from home. The only company she has is her dog Banjo (who can I just say is the most adorable dog that EastEnders has had for a very long time!) It appears that the only bit of food she has available is a packet of biscuits and of course being a hungry puppo, Banjo longingly stares at Bailey for the biscuit she's about to eat. Bailey willingly gives Banjo the biscuit, but as she begins to gather her things together and move along, a bunch of youths rob her only bag of belongings. Being the hero, Banjo quickly chases after them as Bailey following along behind.
However, meanwhile on the Square as Keegan and Bernie continue to search for Bailey and begin to discuss their concerns about where they're going to find her. Bernie tries to keep positive, informing her brother that Bailey will be found and eventually their luck will change. Of course Keegan is doubtful, but of course we know that Bernadette has offered to be Stuart & Rainie's surrogate, so eventually she will come into some money for the family, but it'll be interesting once her family find out. I'm intrigued on how Keegan is going to react - considering that it was his wife who originally agreed to be their surrogate, now it's his sister!
As Bernie takes her leave, the next thing we see is little Banjo running towards the Square, however the poor little doggo is covered in blood. Keegan understandably relieved to see Banjo, but as soon as he sees the blood coming from the family pet, he begins to question where Bailey is. As Bailey continues her search for her beloved dog, she stumbles across an elderly man named Reg claiming to be a friend of her parents, Mitch and Dinah. Could Bailey perhaps be in danger or is this gentleman genuinely who he says he is?!
--
Elsewhere on the Square, Linda appears to be concerned for Nancy's whereabouts. She reveals that Nancy didn't come the previous evening, even though Mick seems more calmer about the situation, he tries to reassure Linda that Nancy had probably just stayed at a friend's house and would most likely be home by lunchtime, however unbeknown to them, poor Nancy had actually kipped in the gym overnight. It seems that things have gotten that bad between Nancy and her Mum, she could no longer bare to stay in the Vic overnight. As Sharon finds her as she opens up the gym, Nancy promises it's not going to be a long-term thing.
I guess Sharon kind of sympathises with Nancy as she too has felt the raff of Linda, but of course Sharon could be possibly using Nancy to get back into Linda's good books? She offers Nancy to use her shower back at her place and willingly gives her the keys to her apartment. Unfortunately, this is where Nancy once again passes ways with Zack and his awful flirtation. Sorry, but it is a bit cringe-worthy! Zack smooth talks his way with Nancy, claiming that once she's done in the shower he'll treat her to some breakfast!
I have to say I love Nancy's lack of enthusiasm, well I guess you could call it sarcasm also! Honestly though, how would you feel if Zack and Nancy were to become a new couple? I'm not sure how I'd feel about it, as much as I love Nancy, I haven't really made my mind up yet on Zack, I think we need to see a bit of him before I can make a decision. Anyway, they both end up in Ruby's club and Zack is once again flirtatious and eager to get a second date with Nancy, even though she even states that this is anything but a date! As she mentions how she's currently stuck in a ruckus with her Mum, she frets about not even being able to brush her teeth properly as she hasn't got a tooth brush, plus she wants to avoid going home to fetch her one and be confronted by her Mum yet again.
I think in an attempt to win Nancy round he promises that somehow, someway he will make all her problems disappear, but she scoffs at his claim and heads towards to the bar to grab some snacks. But while she's not looking Zack sneaks off and eventually finds himself in the Vic, nosing through all the Carter's belongings, is he simply just trying to find Nancy's toothbrush for her, or perhaps something else? Unfortunately his search doesn't last very long as he's walloped over the head with a frying pan by Linda! Almost like a scene from the Disney movie Tangled!
--
Right focusing on the main story at hand, as Callum and Stuart prepare themselves for the wedding, Callum voices his concern as to whether Ben will truly show up to their wedding. Stuart also voices his concern as to whether his brother should actually go, he can't bare to picture his young brother being left stood up at the alter. But the interesting thing is on the other side of the Square, as Kathy and Phil are discussing the wedding and the fact that Ben would be making a huge mistake if he didn't turn up, Ben is sat on the stairs in the hallway listening to their every word.
Kathy is all dressed up in her wonderful wedding outfit and of course little Lexi looks beautiful in her bridesmaid dress, rehearsing her steps for the wedding ceremony. Phil informs Kathy that Ben is adamant that the wedding is off, but Kathy urges the Father of their son to talk Ben round and make him see sense! Eventually as everyone gathers in the Vic waiting for Ben to show his face, Phil appears all dressed up his suit and breaks the news that Ben has gone missing, he's simply left his suit on his bed and disappeared, much to the family's shock.
While all this chaos appears to be happening in the middle of the Square, poor Callum and Stuart have made it to the register's office and are waiting anxiously for Ben's arrival! As they hear someone bursting through the doors, they look with hope and desperation, but it appears to be Jay. But as much as Callum is happy to see him, Jay gives him the devastating news that Ben has gone AWOL and no one can find him anywhere. Eager to make sure that his brother marries the man he loves, Stuart takes it upon himself to go back to the Square and find Ben and bring him to Callum.
Although it appears that Phil has managed to find Ben before he can. Phil eventually finds his son in the Arches working away on a car, almost as if he's trying to avoid the day itself and carry on as normal. Phil tries once again to reassure his son that marrying Callum would be the best thing he's ever done, even admitting that it took him a long time to come round - this moment really touched me - but also claiming that if Ben was to marry Callum today, it would Phil the proudest he has ever been of his son. I have to say those words really moved me, and to be honest I think it moved Ben - almost to the point where it nearly broke him and he almost revealed what Callum had done.
Ben gets so overcome with emotion, tears are slowly falling from his eyes. He almost breaks as he informs his Dad that Callum had betrayed him, all of them! Phil looks to his son with confusion in his eyes. What does he mean, all of them? But Ben stops in his tracks and makes up the excuse that Callum actually cheated on him. Although it seems as though Phil doesn't believe this explanation, he takes it on the chin and leaves Ben to it. However, once he's back on the Square he comes face-to-face with Stuart ... now this is where everything goes completely wrong! Of course Stuart has no idea what's been happening on the Square, he's just concerned about his little brother waiting at the alter for the man he loves.
As they cross paths, Stuart pleads Phil to inform her where Ben has got to, but Phil seems eager to defend his son after the explanation he's been given, as soon as Phil mentions that he welcomed Callum into the family, Stuart completely gets the wrong end of the stick and reveals everything. Claiming that Callum never wanted to go undercover, claiming that all he did it for was for Ben, putting his career on the line for Ben, even if it meant going behind Phil's back and reporting everything to the police. But you can see from the look in Phil's face that this is all news to him and this is the first he's hearing about Callum's betrayal. Once Stuart realises his mistake he warns that if Phil ever lays a finger on Callum he will come back and kill him!
Returning to the Arches, Ben is once again alone with his thoughts, is he questioning himself whether he should marry Callum? But it seems like another visit from a little lady changes his mind. Lexi finds him in the Arches and comments that it's the same place she finds him every time when Ben decides to take some time on his own. Now this moment I absolutely loved, Lexi questions her Father about love, What does it mean? What's it all about? She claims that she doesn't believe in love, considering that her Mum has had 3 different boyfriends since she's been home and her Grandparents have been married "300 times!". Her exaggerations make Ben giggle, but he tries to reassure his daughter that she should believe in love, because it's the one thing in life that you can't describe the feeling of. It can hurt but it's also wonderful too to be in love. He claims that being with that one person who trusts you and believes in you is the best feeling in the world and with them by your side, you face the world together, forever. As he explains all this to his daughter, she then asks the very important question, "Then why aren't you marrying Callum?"
Listening to his own words and realising that it's been his daughter who's made him see sense, Ben rushes to the wedding reception. As the guests almost sit themselves up and get ready to leave as they believe Ben isn't showing up, Stuart arrives back at the wedding reception eager to inform his brother about what's happened on the Square between him and Phil. But before Stuart can begin to explain himself, both Lexi and Ben burst through the door just in time for the ceremony, to Callum's absolute happiness and relief.
Only unbeknown to them, back at home, Phil is seen listening to a voice message from Kathy, informing him that the wedding appears to be back on. Ben has arrived at the wedding reception and she urges him to get there before he misses his son getting married. As the voice message ends, Phil notices a picture of Callum on the shelf, all dressed up smartly in his police uniform. Reeling from the news he's learnt from Stuart, he smashes Callum's picture to pieces. What is Phil going to do now?

"He's My Brother?!"
Tuesday 16th March 2021
Part One
Hello again everyone, hope you're all doing well! I wanted to share some personal news with you, I received my first Covid-19 vaccine yesterday, we're slowly on the path on getting things back to some form of normality! Who knows, maybe soon EastEnders might be able to go back to its original 30 minutes, even though I'm enjoying it and don't care how long the episodes are, it'll just feel normal, right? Anyway, I've seen a few spoilers regarding these two episodes, I'm really intrigued to write about these episodes. Tuesday aired two episodes of EastEnders so I'll be doing two posts to review each one.
Monday's episode ended on such a cliff-hanger, it's only right that I start this blog with mentioning Lucas and Chelsea first. The episode opened right there Monday left off, Chelsea and Lucas are at the airport preparing to go to Ibiza with suitcases full of drugs. Chelsea's suitcase is currently being checked, she's stood in absolute panic about what the security guard is going to find. Only when he reveals a bottle being over the correct amount she's allowed to take, I got really confused! I was completely and utterly convinced that Lucas had given Chelsea the drugs as a way of teaching her a lesson, and not in a bad way but in a cruel-to-be-kind kind of way. But as soon as Lucas begins to walk through with his suitcase, Chelsea hears commotion from behind and Lucas is surrounded by armed guards. The interesting thing is, Lucas doesn't hesitate, calmly and willingly, he drops the suitcase, opens it up to reveal the amount of drugs stored inside it, Chelsea watches on in dismay as her Father basically gives up on the whole job. Lucas looked over at his daughter, but the look on his face, I couldn't quite tell what he was doing? Was he doing this to save his daughter?
Frantically, Chelsea later arrives home, informing her Mum that Lucas has been arrested and he plain and simply gave up the drugs as if he'd planned it. Denise is visibly shook to hear but she's more relieved to know that Chelsea is safe and no harm has come to her, as far as she's concerned, Lucas can look after himself, whereas Chelsea needs her family around her. However, Chelsea seems to think that Lucas has given up the job on purpose, and now because the job hasn't gone through, Chelsea and the rest of the family could be in danger.
Returning to the airport, Lucas has been taken to side room, there he is begging the officer to allow him one phone call. At first the officer seems to think he's part of a drug gang and is wanting a call to let his comrades know about his arrest, however when Lucas mentions that it's to do with his family and that they could be in danger, it looks as if the police officer suspects he could be telling the truth and allows the phone call. As Denise and Chelsea are at home, Jack is there trying to keep them calm and discuss what actions could be taken due to Lucas's arrest, but of course his main concern is to keep Denise and Chelsea safe, if Caleb finds out the job hasn't been done, he knows that the Fox family could be in huge danger, he instructs them to not go on their phones and don't answer any calls or answer the door to anyone but himself. It's then that he receives a phone call from Lucas, pleading to for his help. What on Earth could Lucas be asking of Jack? Will Lucas be okay? (Of course some of you may have already seen the second episode, but as I haven't, I'm going to be speculating, please no spoilers, thank you!)
--
The next thing I want to mention is Bailey and Bernadette. The sisters are still deeply saddened by Bronson's passing, but as they sit in the park with Mitch, they continue to discuss Bronson's personality and his favourite foods. Always the best way to remember a happy doggo! Unfortunately, as the family reminisce about their beloved pup, Mitch has devastating when he hears a job opportunity had fell through, which he was hoping would keep him going until the winter. Are the Taylor family falling on hard times? Are they really struggling for money so much right now?
Bailey however tries to reassure her Dad, informing him that he has to keep positive as something will come up eventually, but she also drops the bombshell that he wouldn't have to pray for Astronomy Camp for her as she didn't win her competition, both Bernie and Mitch voice their disappointment for Bailey as she begins to feel sorry for herself.  But suddenly a little surprise makes the young girl begin to smile, a little dog approaches her as she holds food in her hand, it appears to not be wearing a collar and no one is around to claim the dog, must be a stray. Happily Bailey interacts with dog and smiles to her Dad that it's a sign from Bronson.
Seeing the little pup bring a smile back onto his daughter's face, he later approaches Karen about the possibility of keeping the new found dog. I also just want to mention how adorable the new dog is, I know not many dog last for long on the Square, but it would be nice for them to fill the void of Bronson. I don't think EastEnders have ever had a better dog since Wellard. They need a pet who's going to become memorable, and with one as adorable as this new pup, it could really work. Karen unfortunately is against the idea of getting a new dog, mainly because they can't afford it. But something tells me that maybe she's just not ready to get over Bronson, maybe? I feel if you've been able to afford a dog before, there's no reason why you can't get another one after? Right?! Mitch really wants to cheer his daughter up, I'm hoping Mitch will go and find the new dog, adopt him and bring him in to their family.
--
The next thing I have to mention is Ash and Suki, after finding her daughter at home alone with Peter, Suki takes it upon herself to confront Ash about the fact that she's been suspended from work, of course she has no idea why, but we all know it's because of Peter begging her to give him pain medication whilst off duty. As the ladies begin to argue, Ash tries to reassure her Mum that everything will be fine when she attends the hearing, she'll be able to explain and she'll get her job back. But Suki begins to fret, considering how much she cares for her family, and more so their reputation, I reckon?
Peter takes it upon himself to interrupt, informing Suki that Ash wouldn't have been suspended if it wasn't for him, this makes Suki realise that it's all Peter's fault, but the devastating blow is that her daughter could potentially lose her job because of a boy! Later on, as things begin to cool off, Suki is alone at the family business as Ash visits her, without Peter in tow. She begs her Mum to not worry and let things slide as she and Peter have a plan of way of getting her job back, but Suki seems to really struggle as the realisation sinks in, she voices that the reason she's so upset is that was she so proud of her daughter for getting so far with her career, for the job role she took on in life, how she has become successful in life, and now she fears that because of Peter, everything could be taken away from her! For me, I found it interesting to see this side of Suki, we know she loves the idea of power and success, but to actually hear that she's proud of one of her children, seems that maybe she really just wants the best for her family.
--
Okay, now the main event! After hearing the news that Gavin has passed away, Kathy and Sharon are discussing whether to attend the memorial. Of course, Sharon isn't interested in sharing memories of her biological Father, needless to say she doesn't have any fond memories of him, Gavin did have a bad reputation after all. Kathy however, considering as she was married to him once - I'm assuming, we know for sure she loved him and/or dated him, is considering going, whether Sharon joins her or not. As far as Sharon is concerned he can "Rot in hell!"
However, after a few wise words from Callum about Dad's in general, regardless whether they were pigs or not, it's always best to be the bigger person, Sharon then decides to tag along with Kathy and attend the memorial. As the arrive Kathy realises that she recognises a few faces, where of course Sharon knows nobody. Sally, Gavin's sister approaches them and thanks Kathy for coming, regardless of the awful things Gavin did, she makes the valid point that she did love him once.
As they look around the room, there is one bloke in particular who seems to be downing a lot more alcohol than others, he seems to be banging to people and knocking into the bar, eventually this man decides to make a speech, but it's not one of the speeches you'd expect. But however, to Sharon's interest, he seems to be saying things which she would actually agree with. Gavin was the scum of all scumbags. This speech however doesn't sit well with other family members and the young man dashes over chairs and tables to escape the angry mob!
As Kathy and Sharon make their exit, they watch as everyone gathers in the parking lot. However Sharon seems to have somehow managed to get her hands on Gavin's urn, without a second thought she simply dumps it into a litter bin, much to Kathy's shock. Looking for the drunken, suspicious man who rudely corrupted the memorial, both Kathy and Sharon seem to notice that their car has been left un-open. Realising that the young man could be hiding in their car, they make a subtle entrance and sit in the front seats. This scene looked like something out of a comedy, the young man appears between them in the backseat, shushing them not to give away his hiding place. Unfortunately, for the young man, the angry mob begin taking their anger out on his sports car - I did find this pretty comical as Kathy and Sharon both describing the damage being made to his car as he hides on the backseat. After the angry mob seem to finish off the last of their damage and head back into the building, Kathy asks the young man his connection with Gavin, how did he know him? Why was he at the memorial? Were they business partners or something?
But then as he walks away, he drops the big bombshell, introducing himself as Zack and that Gavin was in fact his Dad! As he walks away to his damaged car, both Kathy and Sharon look at each other in their shock as they come to realise Sharon has a brother she never knew existed!
Now I just want to say, most of us recall what happened when Sharon found out about another long-lost brother, however, I have to make the valid point that Dennis was in fact an adoptive brother. Den Watts was her adoptive father, so technically Sharon and Dennis were never really blood related, which I guess is why their romance can be looked to one side, however, Zack would be Sharon's Half-Brother! People might think history will be repeating itself if Zack was to become Sharon's new love interest, but I'd hope that EastEnders wouldn't go down the route of incest. It would be interesting though to see how Sharon will come to terms with knowing about her secret brother, will she want to build a relationship with him? Will he want to know her? Could they bond knowing that they've both had such a horrid man for a Father? Who knows?
I'm really looking forward to seeing the second episode following this one, I will be posting about it tomorrow, but in the mean time please no spoilers for me. I'll look forward to blogging about it tomorrow! Thank you again for reading! Love you all xXx

"Our Family's Alright - That's All That Matters!"
Friday 21st May 2021
Hello again everyone! Hope you're all doing well! Today I'll be reviewing Friday's episode, before I do however I know I missed Thursday's episode so I'm going to give you a quick debrief on what happened during that episode. Needless to say that everyone was more than excited when they learnt that Sonia's Dad, Terry, had arrived on the Square! It seemed that he had made quite an impression on Tiffany specifically, she seemed more excited than anyone. But I do have to mention the iconic quote she said to Dotty, after over a decade since she last quoted it, Tiffany told Dotty where to go ... "You're NFI - Not Flippin' Invited!" ... absolutely iconic!! However, after Terry making a good impression with Sonia's family, Sonia couldn't help the feeling that it was too little too late for her Dad to be walking back into her life. As politely as she could, she informed Terry that a simple drink isn't going to make up for long lost years without her Dad. Understanding her completely, Terry left informing her that Jack has his number if she ever wanted to call him and reach out to him to possibly rekindle their relationship. Sonia watched as Terry turned away and walked off into the night.
Meanwhile, Martin makes a fool of himself and lashes out Zack after believing Lily's lies about Ruby cheating on him with Zack. After punching Zack in front of Sharon and Ruby in the club, Ruby puts him straight that his daughter is lying to him and how it hurts that he believed his child without even talking to Ruby first. Is Martin now in the dog house? What is he going to do make it up to Ruby? But also, how are they going to deal with Lily and her lies?!
Elsewhere Mick was preparing himself for court, Frankie still feeling the pressure of her Mum asking her to give a character reference for her. Although I can understand how Frankie must be feeling like piggy in the middle at the moment, she wants to be there for Mick, but I don't know, even though she loves her Mum, she can't stand by her after what she's learnt.
--
Anyway focusing on Friday's episode, I'm going to begin with Sonia and Dotty. I guess it's fair to say Dotty and Sonia have always had a rocky relationship, they've never really seen eye-to-eye. Does Dotty really get a thrill out of slagging off Sonia? I feel there is more to it really and in this particular episode, I think Dotty gives Sonia some food for thought.
After having a bit of a row at home, Dotty leaves and heads to the club, but Sonia follows to check if she's alright, it here that Dotty admits to her that she'd give anything to have one last chat with her Dad, how can she stand there and watch willingly as Sonia just let's her Dad walk out of her life. At the beginning of the episode, Sonia claims that she's surprised that Tiffany believed everything that Terry had said about his life, in Sonia's eyes - why should she believe this man who, even if he is her Dad biologically, he is a bit of a stranger to her. She knows nothing about him and he knows very little about her, as far as she was concerned, it's too little too late to make up for lost time.
But I think after Dotty admitting that she's give anything to be with her Dad again, Sonia takes these words on board. I think she probably will reach out to her Dad and slowly begin to build a relationship with him. What do you guys think? I'm not 100% sure whether Terry is going to be a permanent role in the soap, but it'll be interesting to see what he brings to the Square, what friendships he'll make and whether we'll find out anything about is past?
--
Elsewhere, Sharon has informed her brother that regardless of him not actually sleeping with Ruby, he's not as innocent as he makes out, as he has been continuously flirting with the married woman, purposefully winding Martin up and instructs him to apologise and take him for a pint. But, Ruby seems less than impressed with her husband's actions as we see he has been sleeping on the sofa. As he wakes, Ruby walks in informing him that she's been up since the early hours of the morning looking after his children, almost kind of giving them guilty treatment. She mentions how she was looking forward to him coming home from Dubai, how much she had done for his children whilst he was away and he throws it back in her face by listening to Lily's lies. It's fair to say that Ruby is deeply hurt and informs Martin that he has to confront his daughter and stop her from saying all these horrible lies, otherwise Lily or Ruby herself will be moving out.
Realising the seriousness of his mistake, he gives his word to Ruby and eventually gets his chance to speak to Lily. I believe that Lily is still holding a grudge against Ruby for putting her Mum in prison for something she didn't do, so feels she needs to get her own back in some way. Is she really trying to split her Dad and Ruby up to maybe teach Ruby a lesson? However, even though she's a kid and she's missing her Mum, what she is doing is really out of order, making up lies about Ruby just to get back at her.
Martin confronts his daughter and informs her that she needs to stop the lies and give Ruby a break. But it's not just the lies she's been saying, even cutting up her deceased Mum's wedding dress. Even though Lily claims she didn't know it was Ruby's Mum's, she still shouldn't have done it. This is an interesting one though, who's side are you on? Ruby's or Lily's? As Martin instructs his daughter to be more respectful to his wife, Lily leaves the house without saying a single word, although it's clear she's not very happy about it. Later we see her sat at the allotments calling her Nan, asking whether she can move back in with her.
Of course Jean isn't going to see her Granddaughter out on the streets, but I feel that maybe Jean will start to ask questions about why Lily is wanting to return to live with her. Actually speaking of Jean, I happened to notice that maybe two or three times in this episode, she complained of stomach pains - although she used the excuse of having prunes for breakfast and it has made her slightly windy. But something is telling me it could be more than that. Could it be the cancer? I have to be honest, I am still stunned to realise that no one in her family knows about her cancer and only Ruby is aware about how terminal she is. If Jean takes a turn for the worse, surely Ruby is going to have to inform them about what she knows? I swear though if EastEnders come to the decision of killing Jean off, I will be deeply upset!!! (Let's hope it won't come to that!)
--
Now of course the main focus of the episode was Mick and his family. Today was the day that they had been dreading, but yet they had all been waiting for. It was the day that Mick would finally face Katy in court. Even though he is twitching his leg with nerves, he's looking as ready as he'll ever be as the cars pull up outside the Vic, ready to take him and the family to court.
As everyone gathers in court, Frankie is trying to tell both Mick and the rest of the family something, whatever it is it seems really important, but she's never given the opportunity to say what she needs to say. As The Carter family make their way into the court, you can't help but feel for Mick as he comes face-to-face with Katy, the person who abused him as a child, one last time. Frankie is sat beside her Dad as she tries one last try to attempt to tell him something really important, but unfortunately the moment is taken from her a second time.
As statements are read out in the court, it becomes clear what Frankie was so desperately trying to tell her Dad and his family. It turns out that Frankie did give her a Mum a character reference, regardless of what she did in her past, Frankie cannot deny that she was a good Mum to her. Katy looks over to her daughter with a smile as the Carter family look over to Frankie in shock. Frankie almost looks as if she feels she's betrayed her Dad's side of the family, but Mick does the most honest and decent a thing a Dad could. He takes a firm hold of Frankie's hand, informing her that he completely understands her giving her statement, at the end of the day, Katy is her Mum and she gave her a happy childhood, regardless of her crimes.
As the court goes into recess, The Carter's confront Frankie about her decision, informing her that she could've jeopardised the length of sentence that Katy could receive for her crimes. Shirley more so than anyone is voicing her disappointment in Frankie, but Frankie defends herself. Do they really have wanted her to be a victim of Katy's also? Frankie cannot deny that her Mum gave her a good childhood, and Mick interrupts the discussion claiming that Frankie did the right thing and he completely understands and supports his decision.
During this whole interaction, Nancy makes herself scarce and gets some fresh air. But as the court is called in to hear the final statement and the verdict, Mick goes to search for Nancy as the rest of the family enter the courtroom. As he makes his way outside, he's faced with the terrifying scene of Nancy having a vicious epileptic fit in the middle of the road. Mick acts fast and stays with his daughter, putting his jacket under her head so she doesn't get any lasting brain damage from bashing her head against the gravel. Devastatingly, the rest of the Carter family have no idea what's happening as they're waiting for Mick to return to give his victim statement.
But Mick knows he cannot leave his vulnerable daughter in this state and desperately calls an ambulance. Linda then informs the judge to read out Mick's statement on his behalf. Now I have to say how this moment played out was really powerful, the words used in Mick's statement were so moving that it brought both Linda and Shirley to tears. But hearing these words about how much he was made to feel embarrassed and how it affected his anxiety and relationships with his family, he claims that without Linda and the strength of his family he wouldn't have been able to carry on. While hearing these words, Mick stays with his Nancy until she slowly comes round from her seizure.
Eventually Nancy is helped by paramedics and she slowly comes round from her horrific seizure. Together they walk back into the courtroom, just in time to hear the sentence Katy is given. A total of 10 years in prison! Now I have to be honest, how this episode ended was absolutely perfect, touching and powerful. As the Carter's leave the court and step out into the fresh air, Mick grabs each daughter, Frankie and Nancy, from both sides and hold them ever so tightly. The air is blue and bright, the birds are singing and Mick takes huge breath in. I absolutely LOVE that Julia's Theme was used for this ending, after a horrendous couple of months that Mick has had to endure, it's all over. Katy has been put away for her crimes of child sexual abuse and Mick can now sleep easy knowing justice has been done.
Together as a family, Mick, Linda, Shirley, Nancy and Frankie leave the court together. A untied front showing full well that nothing could ever bring The Carter Family down! With Katy now behind bars, the can carry on with their lives as a family. An absolutely beautiful and moving ending to a deeply devastating storyline! I can't applaud everyone enough for their performance in this storyline - Danny Dyer, Kellie Bright, Rose Ayling-Ellis, Linda Henry and Simone Lahbib! They've all been absolutely incredible!
What did you guys think of the episode? Was it a satisfying ending for you or do you think Katy should've got a longer sentence? Did you enjoy the use of Julia's Theme? I'm really excited to see what happens with the Carter family now, I'm hoping and praying that Frankie will now become a firm member of the Carter family. Thank you all for reading! Please feel free to leave me any comments or messages regarding any of the current storylines happening in EastEnders right now. I'd love to hear your thoughts! Love you all xXx

"I'm Your Father, Love!"
Tuesday 18th May 2021
Hello again everyone! Hope you're all doing okay, I'm back with another post and tonight I'll be reviewing Tuesday's post episode. However before we get started I have a little bit of news to share, which I'm sure the majority of you might've heard by now. Adam Woodyatt has announced that he's not going to be returning to Albert Square until at least 2022! So of course, for me, that raises the question - What has Ian been doing all of this time? Where did he go when he wondered off into the night? I know that there's going to be some major questions to be asked. We all last saw Ian leave the Square after he realised that his new wife, Sharon was poisoning him after she found out about his involvement in her son, Dennis's death. I hope Ian's return will be a big one, considering the way he left - with no money, no phone - just the clothes on his back, I'm eager to see where he has been and what he's been doing. What do you guys think?
Tumblr media
Anyway, focusing on the episode at hand, firstly I'm going to begin with Katy and Frankie. Considering that Monday's episode ended with Katy returning to the Square, it wasn't going to be long until she crossed someone's path. Unfortunately for Frankie, it turns out her Mum has come back to the Square to see her. As Frankie is sat quietly in the club, she's startled as she looks up to see her Mum standing over her. Katy tries to plead with her to have one last drink with her before she gets locked up, but Frankie is having none of it. Although when she escapes from her Mum arrives back at the Vic, she realises that Mick's victim statement is all placed in an envelope and ready to be read out loud in court.
To me it seems that Frankie was struggling whether to go and see her Mum or not, because at the end of the day, she is her Mum. Eventually Frankie agrees to meet with her Mum in the park, without anyone else around. At first it looks as if they're bonding as Katy recalls about the time she took her daughter to the beach around Christmas time. It looks as if Katy is still holding onto the hope that she can be seen as a good person in her daughter's eyes. Eventually it becomes perfectly clear what Katy is wanting from her daughter, she questions whether Frankie will give her a character reference so the court can see what kind of person she can be. But Frankie realises that once again she's being used by her Mum, she walks away completely ignoring her Mother. I do feel for Frankie as she is kind of in the middle of all of this, but she needs to realise that she has no blame in any of it, all the blame leads directly to Katy.
Returning to the Vic, Frankie confides in Shirley, informing her of her Mother's request but she makes it known that she completely refused, much to Shirley's delight. Shirley claims she's proud of Frankie for doing the right thing and how she always knew she was on their side. I think as much as Frankie is wanting to stand by her Dad and help him through this ordeal, I guess a part of her is also thinking that she's also losing her Mum in all of this. I think I do feel for Frankie right now, but I am really intrigued to see the court scenes when they air. Will Mick be able to read his statement in court with Katy sat right there in the room?!
--
Elsewhere on the Square, Sharon is prepping herself for the launch of her new gym, however she's getting very little help from Zack. As she voices her ideas to him, he's insulting every single suggestion. He informs her that she needs to think bigger and advertise on social media and consider that people are going to be wanting to join the gym, so she should have some fresh smoothies made etc etc.
As Zack tries to, once again, show off, Martin and Ruby happen to be walking with Lily across the Square. Is it me, or does this Zack think that he's God's gift to women? Showing off and flirting with anything that moves, but it seems his eyes are focused on Ruby at the moment - and Martin is really noticing which is making him incredibly jealous and possibly even cautious. Only did you guys happen to see the look on Lily's face? Do you think she has sussed out that her Dad may be jealous of Zack?
Later as Zack is trying out a new cocktail, I'm not 100% sure whether it was something new for the club or something he was working on for the gym launch, but regardless he gets Ruby to be his guinea pig. However, lurking in the corner, sitting and watching everything unfold in front of her, is Lily. Ruby happens to notice her step-daughter and questions why she's not in school. Lily makes up an excuse and instantly asks her step-mum whether she has a crush on Zack, which of course Ruby firmly denies and informs her not to get involved in "Adult Business!"
However, it looks as if the cogs are turning in Lily's mind. I'm assuming she still really doesn't look Ruby and will do anything to make her life a misery, maybe even split her and her Dad up. As she returns him and is sat watching TV with her Dad, Martin asks about what she's been doing whilst he's been away. It's then that Lily spins a web of lies, telling her Dad that Ruby wasn't around much and she was hanging around with Zack a lot, even mentioning that Zack had stayed over. Knowing full well how this would make her Dad feel, I think it's simply to do with Lily getting back at Ruby, purely for her Mum's sake. Is there anything Lily won't do to ruin Martin and Ruby's marriage?!
--
Another thing I have to mention is Bernie! Now Bailey has returned home, the Taylor family are slowly getting back to normal and having the family together again. Even though the family are terrified to let Bailey out of their sight. Bailey overhears Karen shouting for her in a blind panic, but once Karen realises that she's still safe and sound in the apartment, Bailey realises how worried her family were about it, claiming that she's seen all the online posts about her online. Does Bailey now feel guilty for running out on her family? Did she really believe that her family would be better off without her? The poor kid!
But it seems that Karen isn't the only one who's concerned about Bailey's whereabouts, it looks as if Keegan is eager to keep a close eye on her also. He mentions to Tiffany that he and Bernie will be taking Bailey out for some lunch. Later as they all gather at McKlunky's, Keegan asks his sister about this "bonus" she'll be getting from Kheerat. But Bernie reassures her brother that he doesn't have to match her money, and he doesn't have to pay her back either. As a sweet and joking gesture, she informs him that as soon he has made his first million, that he can pay her back!
However, the previous episode, Rainie informed Bernadette that she and Stuart are going to be finding another surrogate, so if Bernie is eager to make some quick cash for her family then she needs to act fast! Desperately she approaches Rainie begging her to give her a chance, to the point where she pushes herself to inform Rainie that she can lose the weight within a month! Rainie realises that Bernie is deeply serious about her surrogate and agrees to give her the one month deadline for her to lose weight so she can be their surrogate and carry a baby safely.
Now I fear that this is where Bernie's eating disorder is going to come in, I know what it's like to lose weight, it can be a long and hard process - weight does not simply drop off you within a month! I fear that Bernie may make some drastic and hard decisions when it comes to her eating now. Will she perhaps start making herself sick? Or will she not eat at all and eventually go light headed and pass out? There could so many different and dark roads this storyline will take, I just hope there will be no lasting damage to both Bernadette, and the soon to be baby she'll be carrying - if it ever gets to that point! What do you guys think of this current storyline? I'm really interested in hearing your thoughts on this one!
--
The final thing I have to mention is Sonia! Oh poor Sonia! After overhearing Dotty and Tiffany taking the mick out of her and calling her horrendous names, it looks as if Sonia is feeling as if she's aged since leaving the Square. Almost to the point where she feels it's time for her to change her look, she approaches Denise in the salon and asks her to give her a new do - from what we gather, something along the lines of what Dua Lipa has!
Now Denise questions Sonia's decision and can see that maybe Sonia is having some kind of breakdown. She swiftly talks her into having a drink with her at the Vic. I have to say though, this scene between Sonia and Denise I absolutely loved. We don't get to see these two women socialise enough, it was just so lovely to see Denise reassure Sonia that she's not as "Boring" as some people think she is! She is a very important part of the community and mentions rightly how much Sonia has had to cope with over the last year, being a nurse and regards to the pandemic. It made it feel quite realistic for me, everyone knows how much we have needed the NHS this last year or so and how hard every single NHS employee has worked to keep us all safe! Even though the pandemic is real and Sonia is a fictional character, it was just nice for someone to reassure her that she is important and she is deeply loved within the community. I also have to say how much I love Denise also - I don't think Diane Parish gets the recognition she deserves!
However as the drinks begin to flow, Denise and Sonia begin talking about Dotty. Denise informs her that she shouldn't listen to anything Dotty has to say, but unfortunately lets slip that Dotty has been performing as a hostess at the club. Learning this news, Sonia storms right over to the club and instructs Dotty to stop doing what she's doing, flaunting herself over middle aged men for money! However, she happens to insult a man standing by the bar, calling him a pervert! Dotty is left absolutely humiliated, but personally - it felt good to see Dotty be told straight! Don't get me wrong, I don't dislike Dotty, but I think becoming a hostess and dragging Tiffany in to doing it also, just doesn't seem right. I don't think she's no where near as bad as her Father, but I think she'll always have a rebel side to her!
Oh so finally Brian Connelly has made his first appearance on the Square as Terry Cant. His first encounter was accidently bumping into Rainie. But as he continued to wonder Walford, he found himself in Ruby's club, working up an audience telling them a really interesting story, from what I could make out! However, he happened to be the one who was caught up in Sonia's confrontation with Dotty, being the one called a pervert.
As Sonia returned back to the Square and began chatting once again with Denise and Tiffany, she was horrified to see that the "Pervert Man" had followed her back to the Vic. As she makes herself scarce by hiding underneath the table, Terry begins to ask for Sonia Fowler. But as Denise questions what he wants her for and whether she's done anything wrong, Terry informs them that she in fact hasn't done anything wrong, but called her Dad a pervert! Yep, that's right! Terry Cant is Sonia's Dad!!!! Where has he been all this time? How will Sonia react to her Father rolling up on the Square?
I know that Thursday's episode has already aired, but I'm looking forward to reviewing that episode tomorrow! Do you hope that Terry will become a permanent member of the cast? What else will bring him to Walford other than reconnecting with his daughter? I have to be honest, I'm looking forward to seeing what Brian Connelly will bring to the Square. I know he's well known for his comedy, but I'll be interested to see if they bring a more serious and maybe dark side to his character. I just think it'll give Brian Connelly that chance to shine and prove he can be a brilliant actor as well as a brilliant comedian! What do you guys think??
Thank you all for reading, it truly means the world! Please feel free to leave me a comment or leave me a message regarding anything currently happening in EastEnders right now. I'm looking forward to hearing your thoughts, opinions and theories! Love you all xXx

"How Do You Sleep At Night?!"
Thursday 8th April 2021
Hello again folks! We're back with another episode in my attempt to catch up, of course there was not an episode on Friday evening due to the passing of His Royal Highness Prince Philip - but that does mean that Monday was given two episodes! (Feeling slightly stressed with the amount of episodes I need to catch up on!) Plus being back at the day job and trying to save for a house is proving a bit stressful - but I want to let you all know I am committed to sticking to this blog, I've been at it for over a year so why should I stop now?!
I'll try my very best to catch up through out the week, but my post may have to be posted late in the evening, just a heads up incase you guys think I'm not posting! Anyway, let's get right to it and focus on the matter at hand, I'm going to begin first with mentioning Bailey, it turns out that Bailey has actually won the competition she applied for with the school, but she hasn't had the heart to inform her family about the win, knowing they won't be able afford the cost of her going to her expedition.
Unfortunately, as Bailey and her Dad are out taking little Banjo out for a walk, Isaac happens to congratulate Bailey on her win, much to Mitch's surprise. As Mitch begins to question his daughter, she admits that the hotel would cost them £200 and £30 for the coach trip. Mitch tries his absolute best to persuade his daughter not to worry and informs her that he will find the money some how for her go to on her trip. But as Mitch walks away leaving Bailey alone with little Banjo, she happens to notice the flyer advertising Banjo as lost dog "Ziggy"!
As devastating as it is for her, Bailey knows that she has do to the right thing and give Banjo back to his rightful owner. She get's Bernie to help her contact the owner and they arrange to meet up in the park. Only Bernie makes up a story about finding him behind some bins - I don't know about you guys but the dog didn't seem happy to see it's owner, you'd think it would recognise it's owner by sense of smell?! Personally, I believe the dog is actually more happy living with the Taylor's, even the girl could tell that the dog had been looked after. It's then that Bailey admits that they've been looking after the dog for a couple of weeks but had no idea that he was a lost dog. As the girl takes her dog and walks away, without a second glance at Bernie, for a split second the dog looks back at Bailey and Bernie, and I don't know why but for some reason, I am hoping the dog will be reunited with the Taylor family again, I'd like to think that we haven't seen the last of this adorable pup!
--
The second thing I have to focus on is Sharon and the arrival of her long lost half-brother, Zack! It look as if after his very much unwelcoming arrival to the Square, Zack slept in his car overnight outside of Sharon's apartment, regardless of Sharon making it perfectly clear to him that she didn't want him around and instructed him to go home! As Zack gets out of his car he pleads for his sister just hear him out, he claims he's not here for anything and wants anything from her, he just simply wants to talk.
However, when Jay approaches acknowledging the look of Zack's car, Zack almost insults Jay, warning him not to touch his car. As much as innocent as the situation was, I think his insult to Jay was a bit uncalled for, and it also gives an insight to his character, even Sharon makes a comment to him about interreacting with the locals. But in an attempt to make it up to her, he suggests taking her for breakfast so they can at least sit down and get to know each other.
Things seem to go well it seems at first, they begin to discuss Gavin and how each of them spent their childhood, it seems that they have some kind bond when it comes to discussions about their biological Dad, even though Sharon was adopted, her memories of Gavin aren't necessarily nice ones, but neither are Zack's and unfortunately, Gavin did bring him up! It appears that they are actually getting along. But as Kheerat walks in, Sharon begins to apologise to him for missing their date, but even then Zack's attitude towards the locals still doesn't impress Sharon, especially when he claims to Kheerat that Sharon can do better than him. But whilst Sharon still tries to arrange a second date with Kheerat, Zack discreetly nicks a pair of keys from Sharon's handbag!!! Doesn't appear to be the doting new brother does he?!
Later as Sharon is alone sorting out things for the gym, Jean approaches her with a bunch of flowers as a way of an apology for causing damage to her gym equipment, but luckily Sharon gives her the good news that she was in fact insured for all the damages. As Jean breathes a sigh of relief she compliments how things are slowly coming together, but when she happens to mention Sharon getting along with brother and mentioning that she saw Zack entering her flat, Sharon is instantly on the march to find out what her brother is up to!
Clearly, Zack is looking for something, he pretty much turns her apartment upside down and he searches high and low for something. Also I have to mention how I never realised that Sharon is now staying in the apartment that Mick and Linda were briefly staying in before they returned to the Vic! It's almost like they've simply swapped properties! Eventually Sharon finds her brother searching deep in her wardrobes, calling out to him and claiming that she knows exactly what he's after. It turns out that Gavin left Sharon a box, but the funny thing is, he left Zack the key to open it - so maybe he wanted his two children to meet one day?! As they both agree that whatever lays inside the box they'll go halves on, with hope they open the old metal black box. Unfortunately all that it holds inside is papers and memories such as old birthday cards, Zack is clearly angered - was he hoping for something else? Was there something more he was hoping to get his hands on?!
As they come to terms with the fact there was nothing of value in the box, Zack begins to reminisce about his Dad, recalling about a time when he made him fairy cakes but his Dad showed no sense of pride and informed his son not to embarrass him again, Sharon begins to feel a sense of compassion for her brother. I guess it's fair to say they've never had it easy when it's come to their parents - biological or adoptive. She opens up to Zack, informing her about her son Dennis and admits that maybe it would be nice to have a brother around? It looks as if there's some mutual ground between them, could this be the start of a powerful sibling relationship?!
--
Meanwhile, it looks as if Kush is having deep concerns about Ruby bringing up his son, Arthur. Poor Arthur has been dragged from pillar to post, losing his Mum, moving out of his Nan's to live with his second Dad and Stepmum. As little Arthur kicks a football about on his own, Kush admits to Whitney that little Arthur has spoken about shouting accruing whilst he's been staying with Ruby and Martin. Of course Kush trusts Martin with his son, but his biggest concern is Ruby.
In an attempt to build bridges and maybe find out a bit more, Kush takes it upon himself to visit Ruby alone. I think he spoke to Ruby in a very adult and mature way, he didn't go in all guns blazing and acknowledged that it must be hard with having 3 children suddenly to look after, especially considering the loss they have both been through, it's expected that sometimes parenting can get the better of you. Parenting isn't easy, that's for sure. He does however voice his concerns for Arthur and whether he wants him to be around raised voices.
But as much as Kush is being polite and reasonable, Ruby seems to think that he's attacking her, personally, and if Martin was present he wouldn't be voicing his concerns to Ruby. But the fact is that Kush knows exactly what Ruby is capable of and states that he can fill Martin in if he was pushed far enough, but Ruby calls his bluff - knowing full well that he wouldn't, simply because of his son! Ooooo I know it's coming, but I can't wait for Ruby to get her comeuppance! What do you guys think?!
--
Lastly, Kat and Phil are still sneaking about, it looks as if Kat had actually spent the night at the Mitchell household. Even though she's cautious of being seen, Phil informs her that Ben and Callum are aware of their romance and are happy for them to be seeing each other. Kat seems surprised by this news, it seems that she is deeply concerned about what people would say if they were to find out. I think it's perfectly clear that both Phil and Kat aren't quite ready to go public yet.
But, if they were to go public, what would they be going public as? A couple?! Friends With Benefits? Who knows? As far as Kat is concerned, they haven't had "The chat" - and everyone knows what she means by that! Whether their fling is something casual or whether it's leading to something more serious? I mean, at first it probably was just a bit of fun, but it's seems to be escalating as time goes on. Does Kat maybe want more from Phil than just fun and a romp? Are there feelings slowly growing for each of them?!
Later on, as Kat is doing her shopping in the Minute Mart, she happens to overhear Phil on the phone booking a couple's holiday away, from the sound of it, it sounds very romantic, a sea view cabin in a glorious destination! Poor Kat, she instantly assumes that Phil is booking them an exotic get away and instantly grabs a bottle of sun lotion! As the day progresses, Kat eventually finds Phil alone in the Arches and shows off the sun lotion that she's bought, asking him to wipe some on her back. At first, Phil seems to think she's joking, but as it comes clear that Kat believes they're going on holiday together, Phil puts her straight claiming that the holiday he has booked is actually a honeymoon for Ben and Callum.
Poor Kat instantly feels completely humiliated. Is she wanting to actually enter a proper relationship with Phil or is she getting the feeling that this fling is going nowhere? Everyone knows that Phil isn't the romantic type, but of course he was doing a nice gesture his son on his fiancé. I guess it's fair to say that Phil and Kat don't want their relationship to become public, but they still want to be together - whether that means intimately, emotionally - it could mean everything. Phil actually admits that he actually does like Kat and in a attempt to make it up to her, he suggests they go for meal, just the two of them.
Kat smiles, admitting that he's not exactly Shakespeare, but she's happy to finally be going somewhere with Phil other than the bedroom. Later on in the evening as Kat and Phil go their separate ways, Kat opens her front door to find a bunch of flowers left on her wall, reading the tag on the flowers she realises they're from Phil, maybe there is a romantic side to him after all?! Only, as Whitney witnesses Kat laughing on the phone to an unknown male, gushing over the bunch of flowers, she approaches her claiming that while Kat appears to be enjoying herself, Kush's life is on the line, he's facing prison simply because of Kat! She can't seem to understand why Kat seems to have forgotten about Kush's sacrifice to save his family.
Quite an interesting episode, once again, a lot of different things happening at once, but I'm really excited to see what happens next! I'm going to try and catch up as much as I can this week, but I want to thank you all for being incredibly patient with me! It really means the world! Thank you for your on-going support and I'll be back again very soon! Enjoy the rest of your day! Love you all xXx

"Hello, Sis!"
Tuesday 6th April 2021
Hello again everyone! Wow! Feels like it's been a while since I last posted, I had a very busy week last week and again this week being back at work! I'm sure you must all be happy regarding the lockdown easing ever so slowly! I've come to the realisation that now I'm back to the day job, my posts will have to be done in the evenings, so I apologise if some of them seem late from now on. I'm planning on possibly doing another blog post tomorrow and then a double on Thursday in an attempt to catch up! I know the majority of you have already seen last week's episodes, it seems I have a lot of catching up to do!
We know that things are supposed to be kicking off this week (commencing 12th April) due to the return of Nancy Carter and the possible outcome of Kush's trial? I do have a fear Kush may be killed off and become another victim of Gray's but I am hoping that that doesn't happen! But before we can even begin to get excited about it, I need to post about the episodes that you guys have seen, but unfortunately I haven't.
So without further ado, I'm going to begin chatting about Isaac. It seems that Sheree seems to have overstepped the mark regarding both Lola and Patrick. I mean of course she is acting as the concerned Mum and Wife, but she needs to realise that there are some things she can't interfere with. Patrick has been offered the opportunity to go on blood thinners as an experiment for stroke victims - (at least that's the jist I got from it anyway!) - but Sheree is standing her ground claiming she doesn't want her husband to take part in it, purely because she fears for his health. Again, I can understand her concern but she can't stop Patrick from doing something he may want to do, considering he's already suffered two strokes whilst on the Square, he'll want to do his part in helping other victims.
But also where Lola is concerned, Sheree is still interfering in her son's relationship, for a brief moment it looked as if she had scared poor Lola off! Finally Isaac has sat his Mum down and told her straight to stop interfering with everybody's lives, even claiming that some times she can come across as controlling, even though her concern comes from a good place. For the first time in a long time, Isaac is feeling ready to enter another relationship, and he informs her Mum that with Lola, it feels right, he's slowly falling for her and there could be chance that she is feeling the same and the relationship could become serious?!
As Isaac instruct his Mum to kind of back off, Lola appears to have escaped to the Vic. Oh and once again Peter seems it's necessary to poke his nose into business that has nothing to do with him! Urgh, I really don't know about any one else, but for me personally - Peter is one of the worst characters the soap has right now, not in the sense of villainy, but just as a whole - his attitude towards his family, thinking he's the big I AM, urgh I don't like him, I really don't! Something has to change with this Peter I think, what about you guys?! Do you agree or do you think I'm being a little bit harsh? Either way he insults Lola and manages to persuade her to tell him what's on her mind. Believing he's a trusted friend, Lola confides in Peter, informing him about Isaac's diagnosis - something I fear she will possibly live to regret. But after her meeting with Peter, she eventually meets up with Isaac in the club and he informs her to not let his Mother scare her off, Isaac has full control over his illness right now and there would be no way for Lola to trigger any kind of breakdown. Let's hope things remain this way, right? But something is telling me that with all this positivity and reassuring that Isaac is fine and he has everything under control, something is telling me that eventually Isaac will have some form of breakdown and hopefully EastEnders will be able to have an opportunity to portray what having schizophrenia is really like!
--
Oooooo and what is this?! A possible new love interest for Bernie?! It's about bloody time!!! So, I'm sure the majority of you know that the Taylor family have taken in a new dog named Banjo after finding him on the streets and assuming he was a stray. Unfortunately, since the dog has been in their possession, some flyers advertising the lost dog have been spreading around the Square. Mitch was the first one to notice them, but not wanting to break his young daughter's heart, after their new family member has brought her so much happiness, he disposed of the flyer and never said a word about it to his family.
Now after this young girl seems to catch her eye on the Square, denying to Bailey that she's does not have a crush on her, she claims that she was just interested in the girl's flyer's. As Bailey goads her to ask for one, Bernadette comes to realise what the girl is advertising. (Also just zooming through the end credits of the episode now, there happen to be two female names of who this young lady could be - "Clara" or "Molly" - It'll be interesting if she was to show up again!) Taking the flyer back home, Bernie sadly informs her Mum and Mitch that a girl is out there looking for her dog, who they happen to have living with them, and his name isn't Banjo, it's Ziggy!
At first it seems the Taylor's are in a bit of a denial, it's understandable that they've grown to love the dog, but when Karen calls him by the name "Ziggy", the dog automatically responds. Bernie claims that they have to do the right thing and return the dog to it's rightful owner, however Mitch is looking deeply suspicious as Karen realises that he knew about the flyer's a couple of weeks ago and never said anything. He claims he didn't want to break Bailey's heart after all the loss she's had in recent months. It's then that Karen happens to agree with Mitch and states that the dog will be staying with them. They instruct Bernie to call the girl up and give her false story about the dog. Poor Bernadette isn't one for lying, so it's quite funny and yet sweet when she attempts to make up a story about the dog being lashed into a van to the unknown female. But it seems the girl can see right through Bernie and claims that she saw the way she was looking at her in the Square and offers to buy her a drink. Even though Bernie is already hiding the fact that she has her dog, could this be the start of new relationship for her?!

Ooh yea, so Ruby and Lily are still at loggerheads with each other! After devastatingly realising that Lily has cut her deceased Mum's wedding dress to pieces, Ruby is demanding that Lily leaves the house. Even though Lily isn't Ruby's biggest fan right now, it's clear that she had no idea that the dress belonged to her Mum, but it turns out she might've known that it was a special piece of clothing as Ruby states the dress was kept in a box at the back of her cupboard.
As Martin sends his daughter upstairs to get changed out of Ruby's clothes, he begins to think of some kind of punishment for his daughter, informing his wife that Lily is simply just missing her Mum. However it seems that Ruby's day goes from bad to worse, after discovering the state of her Mother's ripped dress, she informs her husband that she got a call from the clinic. It turns out the Ruby could most likely have endometriosis and that their fears about not having any more children is more likely. Devastatingly, endometriosis is severe and it could mean that she may not be able to have any more children in the future, sadly the one she lost might've been her only chance of being a Mum.
Understandably devastated for his wife, Martin realises he needs to do something to cheer her up. As Lily recovers from changing out of Ruby's clothes, Martin informs Ruby that Lily's punishment is to give her no access to any electronics for a week, and in an attempt to make things up to Ruby, Lily "apparently" has offered to give up her birthday money if it means there could be a way to salvage the ruined wedding dress. Ruby is visibly touched by the kind gesture, claiming that she didn't mean what she said about wanting her to move out, she claims that being her Stepmother - she'll always have a place to stay with them. Lily just simply smiles.
As Martin informs his wife of bubble bath waiting for her upstairs, Ruby thanks her Stepdaughter once again and leaves the room. As Martin follows, giving her the thumbs-up, it seems as if they think Lily will be okay and there'll be no more issues, but from the look on Lily's face, she really doesn't seem happy. Something was telling me that maybe she was being forced to apologise to Ruby? She clearly didn't mean her apology, is she still going to make Ruby's life a living nightmare?!
--
Oh Jean!!! Poor Jean!! I know I mentioned it in the last post, but I'm going to mention it again, I cannot applaud Gillian Wright enough for her performance as Jean! Jean clearly isn't coping with having her daughter back inside again while she's suffering a terminal illness, all she wants really is to be back with her daughter. As everyone gathers and sees the commotion, Sharon comes to realise that the only reason Jean is acting this way and holding herself up in the vehicle is because she wants to be with her daughter.
In an attempt to get Jean out of the van, Sharon pleads to the police to let her talk to her softly. As she approaches the fragile woman in the vehicle, she explains that even though she understands how Jean is feeling, the actions she's currently doing won't help her in any way. Even though Jean wants to be arrested in an attempt to be with her daughter, Sharon informs her that if she was to get arrested and put in prison, there is no guaranteed chance that she'd end up in the same prison as Stacey, in hindsight the only thing she'd get out of it is probably a criminal record and a hefty fine.
Realising her mistake and that possibly her actions may not get her close to her daughter, Jean agrees to switch off the engine and leave the vehicle. Now the next scene between Sharon and Jean I found funny but really touching also, I don't know why but I've loved the friendship that they've begun to build with these two characters. Two women I never thought would have each other's backs, but it seems that they are both struggling with things in their personal life, and I just LOVED how they both fell about laughing about the outcome of things, Sharon realising she's a single Mother with no money and how Jean has almost corrupted her new gym business. I found the scene really heart-warming as both the women agreed that sometimes shouting out to life itself is sometimes the only thing they have left?
I just loved it, it was as if they have a mutual understanding of each other and they found some common ground. Jean opened up to Sharon and Sharon opened up to Jean, even informing her about discovering a long lost brother that she's still unsure of whether to contact or not. But as Jean claims that having family around you is one of the most important things, Sharon seems to see it as another man in her life who she doesn't really need and decides to bin the phone number.
However, later as Sharon unfortunately misses her date with Kheerat and ends up drinking alone, Jean excitedly approaches her new found friend, even though she appears excited she also seems a little nervous and jittery. Admitting she might've overstepped the mark, she repeats the fact that Sharon needs her family around her and considering she hasn't got that many members of her family left ..... ?! Sharon questions what Jean has done and it's only when they get out onto the Square they see a car pulling up and stepping out of it, appears Zack! Jean only contacted her brother! But the interesting thing that gets me, Zack greets Sharon by calling her "Sis!" - last time he saw her, he had no idea who she was, just another person who attended his Dad's funeral, does this mean that Jean informed about Sharon's true identity?!
Either way, I'm super excited to see what happens next, I'll be sure to follow up this post with another one tomorrow. I once again apologise for this being super late, I'm going to try my very best to catch up, regardless at being back to the day job! Thank you all for reading! I hope you enjoy the rest of your evening. Please feel free to leave me any messages or comments about EastEnders and I'll happily reply! Love you all xXx

"I Need You To Quit The Police!"
Weekly Catch Up
Monday 31st May - Friday 4th June 2021
Hello again folks, due to working hours all under the sun at my day job, I've only managed to find time to sit down and write my blog. The past couple of weeks have been full chocker for me - celebrating my partner's 30 birthday as well as trying to find a house, whilst also being at the day job and trying to find time to write notes down for my blog. Hopefully by next week I'll be a bit more organised and be able to post a few more than just 1 post in the week!
So let's cover everything that's happened this week, it's been an eventful one that's for sure! I think the first thing I'm going to mention is The Carter's. It seems as if Linda is becoming more desperate to inform Nancy about her pregnancy, I think it's fair to say that she's hating having to keep it a secret from her own daughter, but Mick seems less than enthusiastic and convinces Linda that perhaps she should wait just a little bit longer until they tell Nancy the truth. Of the devastating thing for Mick is that his wife is pregnant with somebody else's baby, and not just anybody - Max Branning!
In a bid to take his mind off things he suggests putting together a Deaf Night for Frankie, where they'd celebrate the deaf community. Of course Linda is all for the idea but does also worry that Mick is maybe pushing her pregnancy under the carpet, as if he doesn't want to talk about it. Still noticing the tension between Nancy and Linda, Frankie takes it upon herself to approach Nancy and manages to convince her that really she and her Mum are both exactly alike and maybe she should reach out to her and just forgive her and move on, life is really too short. After listening to her sister and taking her advice, Nancy decides to build bridges with her Mum and offer her a one-to-one session at the gym to give them a chance to reconnect. Linda is all for it and is happy to spend some quality time with her daughter.
However after pushing herself a bit too hard on the exercise bike, Linda goes light-headed and eventually collapses, much to Nancy's worry. I know this a bit stupid for me to say, but being 5 months pregnant and going to the gym - perhaps it wasn't the best idea? (I mean, I don't know - do pregnant women still go the gym?) Luckily Sharon is there to witness the accident and quickly hurries to her friend's aid, as they all wait for an ambulance to arrive, Linda encourages her daughter to go back home and wait for her Dad to return home as well as trying to contact him in the meantime. As Nancy does as she's told, Linda informs Sharon that she's pregnant but she desperately doesn't want Nancy to know, especially not now considering her accident. Sharon respects Linda's wishes and accompanies her to the hospital, it's here where Linda also informs her friend that in fact the baby she's carrying is not Mick's but in fact Max's.
Tumblr media
It looks as if the whole accident has completely overwhelmed Linda as she begins to get teary. She explains to Sharon that over the past couple of months she's began to feel the baby moving, and she's come to realise that over time she has begun to love the child she's carrying. But how on Earth will Mick feel when he finds out? Even though Mick has promised to face the pregnancy head on with his wife, something is telling me that when the child is born, he is going to really struggle to connect and bond with it, knowing that it's not even his child. However - could there be some kind of miscalculation? Will they maybe even take a DNA test just to be sure who the Father is? Who knows? There has been some speculation that Max will return after rumours of Linda contacting him about her pregnancy, but I'm not so sure that's going to happen - Max only left a couple of months ago and I'm sure I recall Jake Wood saying that he's interested in doing other things - could they convince him to return for this storyline? I'm unsure. What do you guys think? Could Mick even grow to love the child as his own?
As the episode goes on, we see that Nancy grows suspicious that after her Mum's worrying fall, she's going round telling everyone that she's fine, and Peter even acknowledges that someone as healthy and fit as Linda could collapse after a couple of minutes on an exercise bike, maybe there's something more as to why she collapsed? Seeking the truth she eventually confronts her Mum, and realising that she's been bolted into a corner, Linda softly informs her daughter that she is now pregnant with her 5th child. At first Nancy seems thrilled to hear that her parents have come to create another life, but eventually it becomes clear to her that the child is not her Dad's, however Linda is quick to inform her that Mick knows and he's been fully supportive since he first found out. Nancy can't quite believe what she's hearing, but nevertheless she is thrilled to hear she'll be getting another sibling and that her parents are seriously "Couple Goals!".

Another main issue which happened this week was that Mila was trying everything she can to stop her Mum from taking her little sister Kioni to a ceremony where she would be "Cut". As soon as her Mum arrives onto the Square you can sense the tension between Mila and her Mum. Even though Iqra is there to support Mila every step of the way as she tries to confront her Mum, the way her Mum speaks to her, she instantly feels as if she can't even stand up to her own Mum. Iqra eventually decides to intervene, suggesting to Kioni that she needs to experience McKlunky's chips - as a swift way for Mila to be alone with her Mum.
As Mila takes the opportunity to open up to her Mum, she admits as to how what has been done to her has made her feel dirty and how she spends every single day in pain. Understandably she does not want her younger sister to go through what she has. The interesting thing which grabbed my attention though was that her Mum stated that it was because they were a part of a "Community" - I'm sorry, but which community allows these types of things to happen to young girls? Is it a religion thing? I'm not 100% sure, but Mila puts her Mum straight (as it were) that the only reason her Mum abandoned her was because of her sexuality - which is NOT a choice! Interestingly, Mila tries to get her Mum to open up about how she felt when she went through the traumatic experience that was "expected" of her.
I have to be honest, this whole entire scene really moved me, Ruhtxjiah Bellenea is a fantastic actress and she completely moved me when she was describing how Mila felt during her experience and how much she pleaded not to let her Mum do it to Kioni! I'm thrilled that EastEnders have taken her on and I'm looking forward to seeing more from Mila. Meanwhile as Iqra is keeping Kioni away keeping an eye on her, Kim unfortunately interrupts Iqra and completely distracts her by asking her advice on Male Of The Month for her Foxcatcher promo and completely misses the moment that Kioni left her side and disappeared. Devastatingly, Kioni decides to head back to Kathy's - where she overhears Mila and her Mum talking about what was happening. After realising that she's been stood there, Kioni runs off and disappears out of sight, much to Mila's worry and concern.
Tumblr media
Frantically, Mila begins to search for her sister and Kathy decides to stay behind with their Mum. Poor Mila is desperate to try and find her sister, eventually she gets called back to the house only to see a police car being pulled up and her Mum being arrested. As much as Mila wanted her Mum to understand that what she was doing is wrong, she never wanted her Mum to go to prison. Iqra approaches Mila to try and calm her own, explaining that what her Mum was doing was a form of child abuse, but Mila is desperate to try and explain that her Mum is not a bad person and that she was just brought up with the wrong beliefs. She's deeply saddened to realise that her girlfriend has gone behind her back and called the police on her Mum, but then interestingly Kathy steps in and informs Mila that it was actually her who called the police. Iqra looks back at Kathy in amazement and subtly shakes her head - Kathy is taking the wrap for Iqra, I think because she understands that Mila needs Iqra more than ever right now and she can't lose her Mum, her sister and her girlfriend all at the same time.
The next day as Mila tries to find the whereabouts of her sister, she learns that she's stayed at a friend's. She does eventually come home but when she does she is accompanied by her social worker. As much as Mila is eager to look after her sister, she's saddened to hear that she can not stay with her and she'll be instead be put with a foster family during the time her Mum is in prison. Mila is deeply saddened and pleads for them not to take her, but eventually it seems that she comes to terms with knowing that Kioni will be safe. I'm not 100% sure whether this will be the end of this storyline - Mila is yet to find out that it was Iqra who called the police on her Mum, so who knows. Is that the last we'll see of Kioni or will Mila be reunited with her sister permanently? Have we also seen the last of her Mum? I'm intrigued to see what will happen next.

Elsewhere on the Square, Suki is still not willing to accept that Kheerat's new woman is Sharon Watts. But in a bid to keep his Mother on side, Kheerat informs her that he's managed to find a way to keep Jags safe in prison, he managed to come up with the money to pay who needs to be paid and he's also managed to persuade Ben to contact people he knows in prison who could keep Jags safe. Even though Suki is relieved that her son is now safe, she's a bit sceptical that her son is now doing business with a Mitchell and warns him that he'd best stay in Ben's good books, otherwise things could really change for not just Jags, but the whole Panesar family.
It seems that Kheerat then realises that if he's going to want to continue seeing Sharon, they're going to have to be sneaky about their little fling. If Ben was to find out that Kheerat was seeing Sharon, he probably would kick off - not that it's any of his business, as Sharon is no longer married to his Dad, what business of his is it who Sharon sees or sleeps with?! I don't understand why Ben would find it as a way of betrayal? Ben has even made it clear that his Dad has moved on - so why can't Sharon? And even if it is his business partner, who cares?! I genuinely don't see the problem, if you guys know then please enlighten me!
-- So it looks as if "Fat Elvis" has invited Mo away on a cruise, but it seems that she is reluctant to go and interestingly it turns out that once Jean is made away of Mo's offer, Mo informs her that the only reason she's not going to go is because of her. She's known for months now that something isn't right with Jean and she's not going to rest until she knows what it is. Of course we all know that Jean is hiding the devastating truth that her cancer has returned and that this time it could be terminal. Jean has decided to not have treatment this time around, but it seems as every day that goes by - her family around her seem to be going away. Stacey is now prison, Kat has been spending so much time with Phil now their relationship has been made public, her Grandchildren are living over the road with Martin and Ruby - and now Mo could potentially be leaving on a cruise! I think Jean is going to feel so lonely that eventually things just may get a bit too much for her and she will eventually break. I'm absolutely baffled that even Kat has no idea about her illness.
I think, for a split moment Jean did consider telling Mo the truth, claiming that she has had a bit of a wobble since Stacey was sent to prison, but Mo isn't stupid - she knows there's something else going on, she knows when Jean is lying. Jean then claims that life is far too short and she should grab the opportunity to go for a cruise while she can. Later there's a scene between Kat and Jean as they're stood in the middle of the market and Kat is asking very suspicious questions regarding Mo and Jean, Jean seems to swerve the topic onto Mo, informing Kat about her proposition, as Kat walks away and the camera fades out you see Jean standing alone outside the Minute Mart - this is pretty important as I'll explain in the next paragraph.
As Jean returns home, once again she's confronted by Mo - you think that Jean is going to tell her truth, but instead she states "I'll just show you!" and empties the contents of her bag onto the kitchen table. Dozes of chocolate bars flood the table and Mo isn't the least bit floored to learn that Jean has been shoplifting. Jean lies, claiming that she's become hooked to minor shoplifting and can't seem to kick the buzz. Mo seems to find it pretty laughable, Jean understandably would be the last person you'd expect to shop lift! Although she does admit she's relieved as she claims she was concerned Jean was going to tell her she was actually dying - if only she realised how right she actually is!!! The look on Jean's face was devastating!!!
I have to say though, the scene where all the Slater ladies are giving Mo a party to celebrate her cruise, seeing Kat dancing to Aga-doo was bloody brilliant! We haven't seen a fun clip like that for a while I think! As the day finally arrives for Mo to leave Walford and go on her cruise trip, she seems to acting fairly suspicious as she secretly locks the garage door. What is she hiding in there? You could say that Mo has always been up to dodgy dealings, she's as cunning as Phil sometimes! Ha! Jean manages to confront Mo before she leaves and admits that she told her her secret, now it's her turn to tell her her's, but it seems that Jean is less than impressed and informs Mo that what she's doing is criminal! But what exactly could it be? Later as everyone gathers to see Mo off on her travels, Jean is solemn to see Mo leave and whispers that she might not even be here when Mo returns.
Tumblr media
As soon as she said that Zack picks up on it instantly. As people wave her goodbye, Mo leaves Walford in the back of a limo, what better why for her to exit! Will you miss Mo? As Jean's word continue to play on his mind, he questions Martin about Jean and whether she's alright. But Martin seems to inform him that you can never really tell when it comes to Jean, considering she has bipolar. But he does seem to speculate that maybe she's feeling lonely as everyone around her seems to be leaving. It's then that Zack seems to offer Jean his friendship, informing her that he's just next door if she ever needed anything. But suddenly Jean seems to take him on his offer ever so quickly and informs him that he could help her with a little something.
It's then we get to see what Mo was hiding in the garage. Weed!!!!!! The garage was full of weed plants and Jean is desperate to get rid of them. Zack later reassures her that he has a friend who can wheel it all away for a decent price, at first Jean is adamant she doesn't want to deal with it that way but it turns out to be her only option as she's worried the police may come knocking. She eventually agrees for Zack's "mate" to shift the weed. But after visiting Honey in the Minute Mart and learning that Suki has left lettuce in the dark and it's all wilted, Jean comes of another way to get rid of the drug plant. She returns to the garage and unplugs the heat lamp so all the plants are left in the dark to die. But my next thought it, what happens after they die? Will it be easier for her to just chuck them? I guess we'll have to wait and see!
--
Finally the last thing I have to mention is Ben and Callum, they have returned from their honeymoon and they both seem a bit sad to be returning to some form of normality after a lovely time away together. They both return home to learn that Callum's Nan, Violet, has decided to stay in Walford. I did think it was slightly funny when Violet kind of insulted Ben, claiming he had put on a bit of weight since he had been away - but I have to be honest, I feel like I haven't seen much of Violet to have a proper opinion on her, I haven't really made my mind up yet. What are you opinions on Violet Highway?
Ben then decides to make himself scarce and attempts to visit his Dad to clear the air. Before he and Callum left on their honeymoon, Phil learnt that Callum was working with the police against him and it looks as if Phil can't overcome the fact that he was living with a grass. He personally feels betrayed by Callum after welcoming him into the family and he can't find himself to forgive him - regardless now whether he's his Son-In-Law or not. Ben thanks Phil for paying for the honeymoon but also tries to persuade his Dad to forgive Callum, but Phil simply has none of it. In his eyes, Ben has made his choice.
Later in the week, it seems that Phil is feeling miserable but as he begins to get closer to Kat's children Bert and Ernie, he confides in Kat that he's actually missing Ben. But he also happens to mention that he's feeling low because he feels like he's lost all his children. Louise has left with his Granddaughter, he isn't talking to Ben and his young song Raymond is living over the road and he never gets to see him. Sympathising with him, Kat suggests that he has a word with Denise, regardless of his past - Phil has always been a good Dad and has always focused on his family. Kat happens to mention that the children have a "Bring You Dad To School Day" but she can't bring to inform the children that Alfie won't be there to take them, it's then that Phil agrees to take them instead.
Tumblr media
As Phil arrives to school with the twin boys, even though he's happy to help Kat with her kids, you can see his heart sinks as he sees Raymond arrive with Jack. Phil calls out to his young son but the little boy completely ignores him, but in all fairness the little boy probably has no idea who he really is. I remember AGES ago Denise allowed Phil to see him one or twice or week, but it seemed that changed due to more of Phil's dodgy dealings. Jack is more than happy to rub it in Phil's face when he gives his presentation, claiming that the children always need to be ready to fight the real baddies! But when Phil is asked to give his talk, Phil acknowledges that he's not Bert and Ernie's biological Father or Grandfather and that he wasn't aware he had to give a talk. Jack gives him a slight smirk but Phil holds his ground and informs the teacher that he is a local business man - to be fair, he's not wrong. (In all honesty, I was expecting him to say he was a mechanic - he does work with cars in the Arches after all!)
However, later on taking Kat's advice, Phil decides to visit Denise and states that he wants to help with Raymond as much as he can, give him a proper education and make sure he's able to attend after school clubs etc. But Denise she can't afford it, but Phil is adamant that he can help pay for it as he wants to help provide for his son, but Denise doesn't want to know, claiming that his money is "Dirty Money" and she wants it no where near Raymond. Meanwhile though, as Phil and Denise are having this confrontation - poor Kat finds herself being mugged in the middle of the Square. Two youths threaten her with a knife and take off with her handbag and shopping.
Clearly after being hit by a car, this is the last thing Kat needs. In a stunned state she walks back to the Square where she finds Callum and informs him what's just happened. As Callum tries to reassure her that if she makes a statement the youths will be found. But of course, Suki overhears the commotion and claims that she's not surprised after getting involved with a Mitchell. But Kat is quick to defend Phil, claiming that she knows him so much better than she does and she has no right to make sly comments on who she sees. Returning home she tries to inform Phil about her mugging, but Phil seems to be a more irate after Denise's harsh words, Kat doesn't get a chance to explain to him what's happened. Seeing red, she storms out claiming that maybe everyone else was right about Phil and she was wrong. Poor Phil has no idea what he's seemed to have done wrong, but will Denise's words maybe make him think about changing his ways so he can give Raymond a better life and for Denise allow him to see him?
Meanwhile Ben is acting slightly jealous, I thought, not being able to spend time with his husband on his day off. Callum instead spends the day with a colleague from the police station. Ben takes it upon himself to let off some steam and decides to socialise with Kheerat. As Kheerat tries to fish for information as why Ben is feeling low, Ben claims that he can't stand anyone who lies to him - how can there be trust in a business or personal relationship when there seems to be lots of lies? Eventually Ben comes to the realisation that he needs to ask Callum something really important, as he arrives home, he's surprised to see that Callum has gone all out to make the romantic gesture of a couples night in - not wanting to honeymoon to end so soon. But Ben informs him that even though he loves him, he needs to ask him the biggest thing of all and that he leaves the police force!
Will Callum do as his husband asks? Is there a main reason as to why he wants him to leave the police? Will Ben eventually find out about Kheerat and Sharon? I'll be back next week following more EastEnders drama! Thank you all so much for reading, I really appreciate you all taking the time to read my blog, it truly means the world! Enjoy the rest of your weekend and I'll be back very soon! Love you all xXx

"Jagvir Won't Make It Out Of Prison Alive!"
Week Catch-Up Post
Hello everyone! I'm back after a week away. I've been celebrating my partner's 30th birthday this week so I've had very little time to type up a blog post. But I am now back and looking forward to catching up with everything EastEnders! But before we catch up on everything that happened last week, there has been some news announced that Mo Slater's final scenes will be coming up next week. It's been revealed that her exit storyline will see Mo leave to go on a cruise ship with her well-known friend "Fat Elvis". Both Jean and Kat are going to be saying an emotional farewell to their beloved family member.
Tumblr media
I have to be honest, I will be sad to see Mo leave the Square, through-out her years on the Square she has been one of the most comical with her hilarious schemes. She famously told Sonia that she was actually pregnant with her daughter Rebecca (Bex) and helped her deliver the child on Dot's living room sofa. Plus she was also the one who came up with the idea to fake Kat's death, much to Kat's horrified shock! Will you miss Mo? Feel free to tell me how you feel about her character in any comments or messages, I'd love to hear your thoughts!
So, I know there's a lot that I have to mention so I'm going to get stuck right in, I'm firstly going to mention Frankie and Shirley. Last Friday's episode ended with Mick finally getting justice when Katy sentenced to 10 years in prison for the crimes she committed against him. Even though the Carter family looked united as they left court, it's understandable that Frankie would be feeling a little lost. In hindsight, she's pretty much lost her Mum, she doesn't deny that her Mum gave her a wonderful childhood, regardless of her horrendous crimes.
Tumblr media
However, after coming home and letting her Mum's sentence really sink in, Frankie can't help but feel the need to actually visit her Mum in prison. Katy acknowledged that knowing Frankie would be there on the outside waiting for her, would be the one thing to get her through being in prison! Understandably, Frankie is wanting to stay in contact with her Mum, but she's feeling too nervous to actually admit it to the rest of her Dad's family. The most interesting thing though is that she confides in the most unlikeliest person you'd think would ever understand how she's feeling. Shirley listens openly to Frankie's emotions and feelings and admits that even though she can't stand Katy and would rather see her rot in prison, she can't deny how much Frankie has brought so much happiness to Mick's life. She interestingly thanks Frankie for helping Mick through his court case and happily offers to give Frankie a driving lesson and reveals that when they do, they'll make a detour so she can go and visit her Mum. I really thought that was such a bold move for Shirley, she's put her feelings aside and agreed to help, technically, her Granddaughter. I was really touching and I'm looking forward to seeing more scenes between Frankie and Shirley.
--
Elsewhere, Martin seems to be getting more into the dog house. Even though he's determined to do the right thing and be there for his wife, going out and getting drunk with the man he punched after making the mistake of believing he had been sleeping with his wife, was not the best idea. Ruby is less than impressed with her husband after she finds him hunched on Albert's bench in the gardens, almost looking as if he's ready to pass out.
She recalls that he was supposed to join her for a meeting at the clinic, regarding her chances in getting pregnant. But after noticing Martin holding a bag of vomit, she informs him not to bother going with her and she'll attend the clinic appointment by herself. This clearly upsets Martin as he sees that he's once again disappointed his wife because of his actions. It seems that not only is Ruby annoyed at him, but Jean is also wanting to hear some answers from her Ex Son-In-Law. After getting a phone call from her Granddaughter, Lily, Jean is understandably concerned about the children living in a house where the adults seem to be having constant arguments.
In her mind, the children should be back living with her and she needs to understand why Lily is desperately seeking attention. It's only now that Martin confides in Jean, informing her that Lily has been spreading vicious lies around and has been doing horrific things, just to get to Ruby - cutting her Mum's wedding dress etc. I think Jean is surprised to be hearing about Lily's behaviour but is also convinced that Lily needs just as much love and attention as Martin gives Ruby. It almost looks as if Jean is playing detective as she then goes to speak to Ruby. Here, she informs her that Martin is completely and utterly besotted with his wife and he would do anything to make her happy.
Even though she admits she doesn't condone Lily's behaviour, she does inform them that do need to meet in the middle somewhere though regarding Lily. She tells Ruby just what she told Martin, that Lily is a little girl who is crying out for attention and some love, something that she probably hasn't feel for a while since her Mum was sent to prison. If Ruby was to show Lily some love, would that maybe change Lily's aspect of her? Who knows? I think it's fair to say that Lily has a dislike for Ruby, simply because she is the reason why her Mum is in prison! Later, as Ruby and Martin come together after a long day, Martin completely and utterly apologises to his wife for not being the best husband he can be. He acknowledges that he should've been with her for her appointment and regardless of the outcome of her tests at the clinic and what they say, he still wants to have a family with her.
--
Meanwhile, Kat finally returns home from the hospital. But the main topic that all the neighbours seem to be gossiping about is the fact that Phil has been at her bedside every day whilst she's been in the hospital, plus also the fact that they have returned home from the hospital together! Do Kat and Phil now feel ready to make their relationship public?? Either way the majority of the Square now know about their relationship.
As Kat makes herself comfortable back at home, Phil decides to keep out of the way, as it's clear that Jean isn't best pleased about Kat's relationship with him. As Phil makes himself comfortable in the living room, Kat and Jean are sat in the kitchen, discussing Kat's taste in men and why she would ever consider dating Phil - even though he can hear every word being said about him, Kat sticks up for him, regardless of whatever he's done in the past, he is a family man! Phil would do anything to support his family. For a brief moment it looks as if Phil is feeling a little awkward as he overhears Jean's point of view. As Kat goes to see whether Phil would like something to eat, as she enters the living room, we see that Phil has actually left the house. But why? Does he feel a bit under pressure because of Jean? Has he come to the realisation that he can't be with Kat?
Tumblr media
Needless to say Kat is left feeling devastated, she feels as though once he's been pushed into the opportunity of being sat with Jean and the kids, he's scarpered and done a runner on her! But she couldn't have been more wrong, as eventually Phil returns with a handful of pizza's for all the family. He has actually gone out of his way to spoil Kat's family, which leaves her incredibly touched. Maybe he is in this relationship for the long haul after all? However, as later on Phil prepares food for himself and Kat - I have to say I love the way he put on a French accent as he described the baked potatoes he had been prepping for themselves - as he offers Kat's children Ben's old game consoles, Kat seems to be little overwhelmed and declines his offer and makes a sharp dash for the door with her children.
Phil looks as little bit concerned, had he overstepped the mark? In his mind it was a nice simple gesture for Kat's kids. Does Kat not want his children to get attached to him incase something happens?! Later as Phil questions Kat about her quick escape, she informs him that she doesn't want her children getting hurt. If they do become official or do enter this relationship for the long haul and the children get too attached to him, she fears how devastated the children would be if they were to build a bond with Phil and then months later lose the bond if they were to break up. Phil completely understands Kat's point of view and as a couple, they agree to take things slow for the children's sake. They agree to be on modern ground for the kids. I have to say though, I never knew that seeing Kat and Phil together would be something I'd enjoy, but honestly - I think it's a brilliant pairing and I can't wait to see more from this new powerful couple. What do you guys think??

So another exciting thing that happened on the Square, Sharon launched her new gym "Crunch Time!" - I mean, it's a decent name for a gym to be fair. However as much as she was getting excited and enjoying her time at the launch. Kheerat and Zack came to blows as Kheerat warned Sharon's brother not to spoil her night. Zack was once again being an absolute flirt and was attempting to flirt with the clientele that Sharon had invited to the launch. In an attempt to stop Zack from causing a scene, Kheerat locks Zack in a store cupboard, increasing the volume of the music so no one can hear him banging and causing a commotion.
Of course, Sharon has no idea that her brother has been locked in a room all by himself. She's a little more occupied building bridges with Linda. Finally after a good few months of not talking, Sharon and Linda make amends and begin to start talking to one another again. Linda is thankful to Sharon for letting her daughter, Nancy, stay with her for a while, plus for also giving her a job at the gym. I have to be honest, it's nice to see Linda and Sharon being friends again, they have to be one of my favourite friendships on the Square.
As the night goes on, it comes to the point for Sharon to make her speech, but of course as the music begins to fade, Zack realises he can be heard and demands for someone to open the door and let him free from the store cupboard. As Nancy lets him out, Zack's first act is to confront Kheerat for locking him in. Kheerat completely denies locking him in and laughs in Zack's face, telling him not "Embarrass himself!" Now this small turn of phrase seems to really hit hard with Zack and he ends up smacking Kheerat right in the face, much to Sharon's shock and disappointment. Acknowledging that Zack has had his three strikes, she tells him to leave the Square.
Tumblr media
The next day Zack realises he can't find the time to explain himself to Sharon for hitting Kheerat and begins to grab his belongings, ready to do as his sister asks and leave the Square. However later on in the day, Zack manages to get his chance to explain and talk to his sister. As they sit alone in the flat, Zack reminisces about his parents. How much his Mum could be lovely through out the day but as soon as 6pm or 7pm in the evening came, she would turn to drink. Interesting he also explains to Sharon that when Kheerat told him "Don't Embarrass Yourself!" - it resonated with his Dad. Being a child and being told by his Father not to be an embarrassment, it truly hit hard for him. He simply didn't mean to hit Kheerat, he simply just saw red. Sharon completely and utterly sympathises with Zack and eventually asks him to stay in Walford. It's clear that he needs her just as much as she needs him right now.

So one of the main storylines of the week, is Mila's little sister, Kioni, has arrived on the Square, much to the surprise of her big sister. However, even though he sister's arrival is a bit out of the blue, as the sister begin to talk, Kioni informs her sister that her Mum is taking her on holiday to meet an unknown Aunty that she's never met and she is desperate for her sister to go with them. Only at the mention of an unknown Aunty, Mila is instantly worried, cautious and concerned for her little sister. I began to wonder whether this Aunty was bad news and Mila was just desperate to keep her sister safe from this evil Aunty? Mila begs Kathy to let her little sister stay, just until they find somewhere more permanent for her to stay.
At the beginning, Kathy declines to allow Kioni stay, but it seems that Mila is in desperate need to keep her sister safe. In the end Kathy agrees but doesn't ask any questions - she understands that Mila is trying to help her sister and warns that she can stay for one night and then she'll have to try and find somewhere else to stay. Mila is deeply thankful to her boss. But it does make you begin to wonder why she's so desperate to keep her sister close.
Eventually, Kathy begins to question Mila on what she's trying to protect her sister from. It's then that we hear the truth from - Mila's Mum isn't taking Kioni to meet an Aunty, but to actually taking her to be "Cut". In other terms it's called - FGM "Female Genital Mutilation". Kathy can't believe what she is hearing and questions how Mila knows about this. As Mila takes a deep breath, she explains that it's exactly what happened to her.
Tumblr media
Now, I've had to do a little bit of research as I had no idea what FGM was. So it turns out the it is an illegal procedure in the UK. It's a destructive operation where the female genitals are partly or fully removed. In the majority of cases, the procedure is performed before a female hits puberty, somewhere between the ages of 4-8, but in recent years it has been performed on babies who are just aged between a few days old to even a few months old! It can cause severe bleeding, infections, complications in childbirth and even risks of new-born deaths. I have heard that people have been sickened out by this storyline, but I have to be honest - it's something I've never heard of, and I believe if EastEnders play out this story in a mature and sensitive way, it'll be a way of raising awareness and will hopefully educate people that unfortunately this does happen, and it needs to be stopped!
As Kathy agrees to let Kioni stay, Mila is ever so grateful to her boss and reassures her she will find something more secure for herself and her sister. But the next day, Kathy informs Mila that she has to contact the police, but Mila really doesn't want to get the police involved as she fears her sister will be taken away from her. As Kathy decides to take Mila out for a drink to try and settle her nerves, she instructs both Bobby and Kioni to stay in the house for them to stay with each other. Bobby is a little frustrated as he has a date planned, but Kathy informs him that he is in deep instruction from her to stay put and keep an eye on Kioni.
Only it doesn't last very long, whilst Kathy and Mila are out, Bobby is getting irritable that he'll have to cancel his date. As Kioni persuades him to go out and promises she won't be moving, Bobby bits the bullet and leaves his mobile number for Kioni to contact incase of any emergencies. However, later on when everyone arrives home, Kathy and Mila are surprised to see Bobby alone in the house and when he informs them that Kioni has left to go and see her Mum, Kathy and Mila enter pure panic mode! Desperately, Mila calls her sister and eventually she does get in touch with her, even though her sister appears unharmed and appears to have no knowledge of what is in store for her, Mila tries her best to keep her cool and urges Kioni to keep in contact as much as she can.
Meanwhile, during the whole week that Mila has been more focused on her sister, Iqra has felt once again that she's been pushed aside, even though Mila tries to inform her that that simply isn't the case. Eventually as Mila is pushed into a corner, as Kathy gives her 24 hours to come up with a solution to find her sister and get her safe, otherwise she'll be contacting the police, Mila rushes to Iqra and asks her for help. Iqra at first appears insulted that for a whole week she's been pushed to one side and all of sudden she's asking her for her help, why should she? Realising that she's going to need to come clean, Mila reveals everything to Iqra. Iqra is sat in complete silence as Mila comes clean about everything that has happened to her and why she needs to stop it from happening to her sister. As tears softly and slowly fall down their cheeks, Iqra promises to stand by Mila and help her stop it happening to her sister.

So, it looks as if Kim might have a new love interest - Dwayne! I have to be honest though, the comment that was made by Violet, asking Kim whether she was a drag queen was absolutely hilarious! I absolutely loved it! As Kim is prepping for her upcoming birthday, she's eager not to let her age bother her and that she can still find love. So when she stumbles upon a gentleman selling hand sanitizer in the Vic, she's quick to make her move.
It seems to appear that Kim likes what she sees when it comes to Dwayne, as her birthday roles up her family are waiting to celebrate with her but it seems she may have spent the night with Dwayne instead. I have to mention though I loved Patrick's innocence when he came to mentioning the aubergine emoji that Kim had used in her text. Both Sheree and Denise completely understood what she meant as they pull a face to one another!
I have to be honest though, is Dwayne going to be new character? Are we going to learn more about Dwayne? I'm intrigued. However when Chelsea learns about the man her Aunty is seeing, it seems that she knows Dwayne all too well. Apparently he is some kind of serial cheat? A womanizer? Trying to warn her Aunt Kim, she informs her that he cheated on her friend Roni with multiple people, even including her cousin. But Kim isn't interested in hearing Chelsea's accusations and claims she is just simply jealous!
Tumblr media
But nothing could be further from the truth. Later on as Chelsea sits alone in the club, Dwayne approaches her trying to break the ice and inform her that she's not the man she thinks he is. Eager to win her round he offers to buy her a drink, but this does seem to escalate. For a brief moment, I did think that Chelsea was kind of falling for Dwayne's charm and possible flirtatiousness. When he suggests that he cancels his plans with Kim and he and Chelsea can go somewhere more private, Chelsea is all smiles and giggles. But as Kim walks in and sees them giggling away in a flirtatious manner, she knows full well that maybe what her niece was saying about him could be right.
As Dwayne leaves the room, she confronts her niece, but Kim is more stronger than believe she is. She puts on a front and pretends to cry. We also realise that Chelsea was just trying to find proof for her Aunt that he's bad news. Together they decide to teach Dwayne a lesson and begin to vandalise his car. As they spray paint it and throw talcum powder all over the seats, Gray overhears the commotion. It's then that Chelsea drags Gray into their revenge on Dwayne, claiming that Gray is in fact her husband. Much to Gray's surprise he completely backs up Chelsea and warns Dwayne to leave. Did anyone else see the brief flirtation between both Gray and Chelsea? When Chelsea left and thanked him by calling him "Hubby" - it seemed that maybe Chelsea could be the next one in Gray's sights? Could Gray end up falling for Chelsea? Or even worse, could Chelsea be Gray's next victim? It's an interesting aspect but it certainly raises eyebrows I think, what about you?! Is the last we've seen of Dwayne? Could he potentially even return to the Square?!

Another brief thing I have to mention, after Sonia informed her Dad, Terry that things seem too little too late for him to make amends for not being a part of her life. He arrives back in Walford with a huge teddy bear for his daughter. I guess it's fair to say that Sonia is more than happy to see her Dad back on the Square, he was never going to stay away for long.
It seems that Terry is already making friends with the locals already. He's already playing darts with Patrick. As he and Sonia enjoy getting to know each other again, Terry persuades Sonia to play darts with them, but before she does, Terry has a horrendous coughing fit. Being a nurse, Sonia picks up on instantly acknowledging that it's a pretty bad cough he has. But Terry reassures her that he's absolutely fine and that a crisp he had eaten had simply gone down the wrong way. But I'm convinced that wasn't the case at all -  I believe there may be more to this cough. Is Terry actually terminally ill, which is why he's decided to reach out to Sonia before he dies? That's my guess, but I'm intrigued to see what secret he is hiding from his daughter!

Finally, Suki has arrived home - to be fair, I have no idea where she's been as it seems it's been a while since she's been seen in Albert Square. Now Suki has always been known as a strong, powerful, independent woman, surely with a bit of mean streak - but it seems now she is in the most vulnerable position we've ever seen her in. She appears to be in a state of panic and is eager to find out where Kheerat is. She instructs Vinny to not sit about in the office and to actually do his job and collect some rent. I began to wonder whether she was concerned for Kheerat's whereabouts? Are there people coming after her and her family or something?
As she sits alone we see her ransacking money boxes and the safe and she's seems to be in deep frustration that there doesn't seem to be enough there. Does she owe someone money? Has she got herself caught up in something? It seems that she's pretty desperate as she takes the bold move in asking Phil for help. Phil is completely shocked to see that she's asking him for money and also makes the claim that she must be pretty desperate. However, not letting her mask slide, she informs Phil that he owes her considering he trashed up her office a while back. In a bid to get his interest she claims he'll give him 5%, but as Phil scoffs in her face she increases the share to 15% or 20% - but Phil only agrees if he gets a full 50%, which is something that Suki cannot do.
As she leaves we can see that her world is slowly about to crumble if she doesn't get the money she needs. But what does she need it for? As she begins to search the Square for Kheerat, she eventually finds him having lunch with Sharon. Suki is stunned to see that now he's decided to date Sharon. As Sharon makes herself scarce, Suki demands her son to get home immediately, but Kheerat demands to her not speak to him like he's a child and that he will gladly speak to her once he's finish his lunch date with Sharon.
Feeling completely and utterly embarrassed and possibly wound up for being ignored by her son, she makes her way to the shop and begins her shift. However I was surprised to see Stas turn up out of the blue, especially considering the past dodgy business the Panesar's have had with him. It seems that Suki is interested in making some kind of arrangement with him, Stas closes up the shop so he and Suki can discuss things privately. However when Kheerat arrives after his date with Sharon he's horrified to see his Mum doing business with Stas and informs him that ever his Mum has said to him, the rest of the family aren't interested in whatever business they're doing and informs him that his Mum has no understanding of what she's saying. Completely embarrassing his Mum and annoying Stas, Stas takes he leave and informs them that he doesn't like people wasting his time, and nicks a bottle of vodka from the shelf for his "Compensation!"
Kheerat demands to know what his Mum was thinking and informs that if Stas was to find out that they stole some of his gold and even worse melted it, they would be dead! Eventually as Suki and Kheerat make their way home, Suki confides in her son about the trouble they are in. She's been informed that Jags has had a bit of trouble whilst in prison. Jags is in desperate need of some protection money and Suki has been warned that if they don't get £100K within the space of 48 hours, Jags may die in prison! Kheerat can't believe what he's hearing, how on Earth have things gotten to this point for their family and how are they going to be able to come up with the money to save Jags?!
I realise this is a VERY long post, but I just wanted to say that appreciate every single one of my followers and I can't thank you enough for continuously supporting me. It truly means the world. I hope you all enjoy the rest of your Bank Holiday weekend and I shall be back very soon with some more EastEnders content! Love you all xXx
