It’s hard to find horror and really tricky to write. Pair that complexity or fear you get when writing horror (I had to shut and lock my door bc I scared myself on this one fic I was writing 😱😂) + the lack of those who are interested in it (even around Halloween) and it begins to feel like a lot of the effort has gone to waste or “I’m just not good enough, my writing must be bad.” And it’s more or less subjective but those thoughts do come.
