I think I've made my feelings on Derision fairly clear, but if I were to acknowledge it as canon, it does add another layer to Dark Cupid. It implies Kim got the 'get down on one knee and give jewellery' thing from Chloe. He thought that was what you were supposed to do when you like someone. Whereas to Chloe, it was just a part of a trick she played on her punching bag. If you want to go further, it's proof to her of how above him she is, since he was stupid enough to believe it. (Heck, if you're feeling particularly salty, Kim did that on purpose - he was trying to remind her of the trick like it was some great moment between the two of them. I definitely don't believe that myself, but whatever floats your boat I guess.)
