I'm back in my glass animals phase and I'm now thinking about how I'm definitely not the target audience, especially for Dreamland. Im way too young for it. I have no nostalgia for times I wasn't even born or don't remember.

I was singing Dreamland a while ago and my parents recognized the tune. It was obviously made that way to be recognizable but not easily identifiable because the small segment is used with different chords and in a different context.

Anyway here's some lyrics I do not relate to or understand fully. I never played "007 Nintendo games" (space ghost coast to coast (Apparently even the title Space Ghost Coast to Coast is a reference to some TV show?)) I have "never seen the price is right" and I have not been "on that shit since '99"(waterfalls coming out your mouth). I was not alive in '99. "as focused as Mr. Miyagi" (tangerine) has no significance to me because I've never seen karate kid. "All you've done in bed, all on Memorex" (Dreamland) what is Memorex? I'm guessing it's some brand of like film or something?

There's probably tons more examples I didn't even notice because I didn't know it was referencing something at all.
